心有る我等が動き・言葉・言ひ回しは、唯文構上の殘り滓に過ぎず。
息が拔けたる內心を覆ひ被せ、當に斯く淡き理の分かり切りが爲に、
置かれたる意識の主なる梁は、心と共に響き渡り、
行ひの廣き列なりは、我等が歪みたる神柄を呟く。
手應へは成り行く考へ違ひにて遠くまで屆けば也。

[Modern transliteration]
Kokoro-aru ware-ra ga ugoki, kotoba, ii-mawashi wa, tada kōbun-jō no nokori-kasu ni sugizu. our minded motions, words & phrases, mere syntactical residue:
coating the vapid interiors, & for this very pale axiom of reason,
the primary beam of situated awareness, resonant with mind,
murmuring our contortionist divinity, the vast array of action;
for reactions reach away in consequential misunderstanding.
#🫀#.#poetry#voidic3ntity#translation to classical japanese#translator’s notes below#this was a tough one to translate due to its syntax (ironically enough)#‘minded’ → 心有る kokoro-aru which literally means ‘having a heart/mind’#but it also can mean a vast array of things: ‘thoughtful; considerate; prudent; sensible; having an ulterior motive or a treacherous mind’#‘syntactical’ → 構文上の kōbun-jō no; standard expression#‘vapid’ was translated to 息が拔けたる iki ga nuketaru in accordance with its original meaning ‘that which has emitted vapour (or its spirit)’#‘axiom’ is 公理 kōri (used in logic & maths) & ‘reason’ is 理性 risei (理屆 rikutsu; 道理 dōri; &c.) in Modern Japanese#(the concept of 理 ri (li in Chinese) is oft-times equated to the Greek λόγος lógos)#but I didn’t find them to be suitable candidates for the translation so i had to resort to sth else#there’s a native japanese word 理 kotowari which means ‘reason; truth; way of things’#(it is derived from the verb 事割る koto-waru ‘to divide/separate things (i.e. to understand them)’)#as for ‘axiom’; it means ‘sth that is self-evident’ & that in Modern Japanese can be expressed as 分かり切った事 wakari-kitta koto#hence 分かり切り wakari-kiri#‘array’ is 配列 hairetsu in maths & programming but a native word 連なり/列なり tsuranari ‘series (of sth)’ would be more fitting#‘reaction’ is 反應 hannō (esp. in sciences); so i went with 手應へ te-gotae#(originally it referred to a sensation felt in hands when using a tool or a weapon; hence the character 手 te ‘hand’)#‘consequential’ → 成り行く nariyuku ‘to develop/progress as an outcome’
