I think buggy is just the right side of idiot to demand that they meet the Red Hair pirates in a challenge and base his entire strategy on Mihawk fighting Shanks (and if he’s honest the other heavy hitters as well)

And Mihawk’s just the right side of uncooperative asshole to think it would be hilarious not to mention that he hasn’t fought Shanks for 10 years and has no plans to break that streak now, especially not for the schemes of a clown as buggy is issuing said challenge to the Red Hair Pirates

And Crocodile….crocodile’s just trying figure out how it is exactly that a clown that owed him money and a grown ass, vampire-bat, of a man in his feels, really about to get him his ass beat right now.

One Piece Book Club: Chapters 8-11

Officially finished the first arc! On to a new one!

Oh buggy… you could have been so good if you were competent. Fandom is so real for making you act like that but in a calculated way.. kind of future talk given he was just introduced but like,, literally I’ve seen such interesting stuff, one fic I read gave you(buggy) bastardized logia healing, that’s literally so baller..

Chapter 10:

“For that, you die!!!” “Yes buggy.” Buggy enjoyers say in unison.

Luffy is (successfully) trying to eat his way through the metal bars of the cage he’s in. This is bad for your dental health, someone get this boy a glass of milk.

Zoro pulls up and slices buggy into (one, two, three…) four completely separate pieces. This is not something a normal person would survive

Chapter 11:

Buggy ate a devil fruit and very easily survives that last attack. Stabs Zoro… vaguely in the back and front?? Through him?? Either way, normal people would die, but it’s one piece so whatever. Maybe it’s lore like that (murmurs, gestures at 1113(?)) yk like it’s a long time coming and nobody will know until it’s literally right there

Dialogue between them goes hard even though me personally I’d die (in any of those positions)

The three escape and buggy declares that this is an act of war!

Honestly genuinely like reading one piece but this whole blog thing takes a lot of work… current pace of ~4 chapters a day means it’ll take around 280 days,,,.. sigh gotta lock in

Anatomy of a typical False-Ren team MCC:

Rendog mic problems

They somehow end up standing next to each other when talking to their chats unmuted

Ren looks down for 2 secs and False immediately comments that he “looks sad” (Ren’s probably doing the zoom in into his face for his viewers or singing Bohemian Rhapsody)

Light conversation about the weather, food, drinks (just British things)

“We did practice… a bit 👉👈”

Casual remark about how they one time they really practiced was “with HBomb” (aka MCC9)

False goes around roasting / commenting on skins

Ren, about anything: It’s cute, but it’s wrong!!

They meet up with the rest of the team, then Ren usually sets some goal of “let’s have have fun, my dudes!” and “#NotLast”

There’s a 50/50 chance that when confronted with game selection, Ren will go “well last time Falsie and I did….” (He usually uses experience from last MCC and quite often it’s a MCC with False until now lol)

It’s extremely funny how every time False reminds Ren of an enemy about to catch him, he pauses and subsequently gets killed. Like no Ren, just run.

False girlbossing the team in Sky Battle while Ren fumbles with the spawn iron blocks

We do not talk about modern SG (Lime14 flashbacks)

At this point everyone’s a bit tired and they don’t talk as much, but Ren occasionally brings up False so she has to butt in to correct him

Ren gets the order terribly wrong in Build Mart but the extra blocks he got are somehow useful bc of Rendog Plot Armour

SoT goes something like this:

Ren: [minding his own business as sandkeeper, oblivious]

False, rushing towards mid with sand: RererereREN—

Thinking about the time False died and Ren didn’t know how to revive her and she was literally like “you dummy!!!”

For some reason cranberry / prune juice is brought up as a passing remark

Ren Dodgebolt commentary and False’s like “yeah I don’t even need to say anything”

False makes one (1) sassy remark about the state of MCC Reddit

“Well my dudes, I had a lot of fun this time!” <- Ren every time

False goes down to the winner’s hall and stands between her two wins proudly

What part of one piece you the funniest? For me it has to be Zoro sense of direction, he somehow got lost by sitting in the back of a moving giant dog, and then he acusse the OTHER GUYS of getting lost, oh and also the weird stuff thing with Kaku and the giraffe form that shit was hilarious. (Relating to that we know have another ridiculous use of a zoan fruit with Sasaki somehow being abble to fly like a helicopter, where else if not in one piece eh?) Sorry for the tangent, bottom line, one piece is ridiculousy funny.

ANON U NAILED MY FAVORITE BIT IN ONE LMAO my favorite bit is in ennies lobby where zoro goes the other way and chopper literally verbatim goes "i'll try to make a medicine to cure your stupidity' like DAMN OKAY CHOPPER. (he then refers to sanji and goes might be uncurable which. JHGFHTGDHTFJGYKU. i miss this chopper just drag them please.) anything with zoro and direction is peak humor. his backstory better be he just got lost and decided to start swordfighting lmao

other bits that i adore is brooks but im already dead/i don't have any/im all bones bits, anything with luffy and a plan, trafalgar law getting iNCREASINGLY distressed at luffy till he gives up, any time u put law, luffy, and kidd in a room together - like they lose ALL their brain cells like idiots?? don't play chicken with a hit from an EMPEROR??? i also love the disgusted place in the wano backstory, everytime buggy opens his mouth, and also little luffy post gear third. OH and the enel face.

one piece is just so ridiculous its why i love it so fucking much. my favorite attack happens in a battle with a giraffe who names his attacks pasta machine. minutes before a pirate declares war on the world his face is spinning in a revolving door. a key part in the savinng of a country is supersonic ducks. the main character defeats aa guy by eating all of his attacks. an elephant taller than mount everest is being sentenced for crimes to great to name. its just. i love one piece if ur series is not stupid and funny and ridiculous while at the same time being entirely serious in it's themes and characters i do not want to read it <3
