#as a type 1 diabetic myself - diagnosed at the age of 5 - i know firsthand just how excruciating it feels to not have access to insulin.#there are days such as the past 3 days where a series of circumstances leads to me having high glucose levels for 48 hours straight#and it feels like hell. i could barely sleep and i was always thirsty. it’s not even a fraction of what it’s like going without insulin.#it’s a slow and painful death with nothing to relieve it other than the insulin itself#if you’ve watched killers of the flower moon - it is exactly like mollie’s state of pain when ernest was messing with her medicine#just fatigue and pain#i don’t know what words to use to describe how painful it is lol. it’s awful. and this is without constant bombing.
