Some more playthrough notes since I managed to get just enough time to finish up the Southgate episode today.

📢 Highlights 📢

I remember the scene in which the gang snuck up on the Southgate-bound convoy very well from Forsaken, and took my time marveling at how well it syncs up with the playable version...until Hickey ran out of lines to delay the guards and immediately hollered for Haytham to do something because he can’t hold the guards there forever 🤣🤣🤣 Sorry, Thomas 😂 

Speaking of the team though, the things they pulled off on the ride towards the fort were a thrill to watch 👀 I’m sure it’s just part of the show to keep up the illusion that this is a gang of Assassins and not, in fact, a gang of Templars, but when you get to watch Pitcairn and Hickey dash by your periphery, smoothly clamber up a house, and then straight up pull a synchronized air assassination on two guards with bayonets of all things in the distance, that’s impressive as heck. Where did they learn how to do this stuff?? 😂

But oK when we get in the fort... How all your boys just disperse and melt into the crowd of actual soldiers, starting all kinds of conversation with them? Beautiful social blending 💯👌(and a great look into the gang’s bullshitting skills; I have to say Lee and Hickey are naturals at this, the confidence with which they deliver their cover stories is top grade)

Speaking of their interactions with the fort’s actual staff, I’m amused by how Pitcairn’s first instinct is to tell one of the soldiers to stop slouching 😂 

And then the fighting started, and boy I have never seen this many redcoats in one screen

I gotta admit I couldn’t even see myself 90% of the time in that crowd—at least everyone except Haytham had markers above their heads. The disguise worked too well 😂

I found Ziio while tumbling through the crowd and fought by her for 10 whole minutes completely forgetting about Silas, it was great 

It was also more great because Pitcairn also happened to be right close by, so that’s the three of us against the whole crowd, it was honestly a rather dramatic moment

Now I’m not surprised that there are a few glitches in this game, but while all this was going down ONE of the buddies was standing very still right there watching my ass get beat (Is that you Church? Betraying us a bit early, are you? 👀)

Lee is, again, being very adorable (the way he yells “I'll deal with this, sir!” is just...can we just keep this version and not the one he wound up becoming 😩

Overall it’s a really fun bit to play through bcs this is probably the only time the whole party’s working together, which honestly I can’t get enough of 😂 And everyone aside from Haytham had their own lines asfjsdfslfI feel so spoiled there is so much cOnTenT 

Also, shout out to the veeery slight smile from Ziio at the end of the mission, that was some serious butterflies-in-stomach material ⚰️😇 We know how you feel, Haytham.
