Belmont... I haven't seen him in quite some time. Our lives have been keeping us busy, him in particular as he has become a father. But we had the chance to talk more while he was convalescing, and he was adamant that we'd keep in touch through letters. He couldn't stop expressing his gratitude to me for slaying Dracula in his stead. As much as I don't... understand his behavior, I could only agree, and appreciate that he cares.

Perhaps we would have grown closer, had we met under different circumstances. Nevertheless, I have grown to consider him a friend. I wish him all the best.
