2 days off ahead and I’m determined to unleash all my pent-up drawing energy!! lots of anatomy and face studies lined up plus 3 WIPs which I want to finish.

One very late mermay one which I sketched out ages ago...oops... I need to finish the background on that one and then colour it (ahhhh water ahhhh how). But the pose and anatomy I am v.happy with so hopefully I won’t ruin it XD

An angsty titanic au because apparently I like drawing angst? 😅And that film never fails to make me sob...and I saw a few other people drawing this and want to join in XD That one is good for practicing expressions and more detailed features. Also messing with lighting a bit in that one because flares (screencaps help there!). I actually love how this one is turning out my expressions are pretty on point. Very not okay. As intended XD Using monochrome colour palette too which looks cool (pun intended)

and finally just a mushy kissy one which I just need to colour now but I might look up a specific colour tutorial and try something new with it for fun. Because experimenting :P

So yeah...busy busy I hope I can maintain focus. Also a fun avengers movie marathon on Saturday evening to look forward to :D as a break

Now bed with my raven cycle audiobook because I’ve just spent the evening sketching Kavnksy based on reference images (He smoke, he has the bags under eyes, overly skinny, definite fuckboi, I think I nailed it XD) and need to hear those chapters now...

Dinosaur project thingy updatey thing! 

I think I’ll go with the original plans of making a calendar series first, and then collecting it into an art book with added artystuffs.

I’m pretty seriously considering this option of making my art my actual real job, as I’ve been talking about before, and if I’m going to do that, I’m going to need products. And three calendars plus an extensive art book published during a presumably three year time span is more products than a single art book that might well take me couple of years to get out. It would also make my life more sustainable.

Also that way I could potentially fund the art book myself, using the calendars to raise the money, since I have no idea how I could possibly get enough money for a (at least partly) colored art book. (Color print is expensive.)

I still haven’t managed to get a hold of someone who could tell me clearly whether Patreon is legal here or not, so the calendars (and maybe having an option of monthly post card or PDF-file with said month’s dinosaur illustration?) would be a reasonable replacement.
