Hello guys. This is my newest project for 2020 and it took one month to finish..The whole model was modeled in Zbrush and the texturing process was made in substance painter. I want to make some ancient character and so I made the troll character with the age of around 70. I used to make reference from African tribal body paint and bone jewelry...As I wanted to make a warlock version I made my character with skills at dark magic and spells...In the final process, I rendered it in marmoset toolbag with two different color temperatures. So... I recently won this Re:Zero Ichiban Kuji ArtScale Bust Figure of Emilia from Yahoo Auctions Japan as it’s just so beautiful~!! (Image source)

It is a prize figure, so I’m expecting it to have little flaws, but the flaws I’ve seen from owner videos so far don’t seem too bad. And she has ‘follow me’ eyes which I kind of love. 

Anyway, I chose to try a proxy service this time instead of going through my usual proxy person. After looking around at reviews, I decided to go with Zen Market since they currently have a campaign where they give you 300 yen upon joining. This essentially means your service fee is waived as they only charge a 300 yen service fee. In theory, you just have to pay local shipping (for the seller to send the item to Zen Market) and international shipping (for Zen Market to send the item to you). But! They do charge a credit card or PayPal fee of 3.5%.

I chose a ‘buy now’ auction that included the above figure plus three acrylic stands of Emilia and Puck, as I didn’t want to go through the stress of a bidding war. It was a pretty straightforward process and the Zen Market site seems quite user-friendly. You have to add funds to your Zen Market account before bidding. I deposited the exact amount for my ‘buy now’ auction since there was already 300 yen in my account to cover the service fee. You’re supposed to deposit the auction amount plus service fee. They allow your account to go into the negative when they deduct the local shipping fee from it. Then I paid them again for the local and international shipping fee once I knew what those were. You could do an estimate and deposit the auction amount + service fee + local shipping + international shipping in one go. Maybe it’s cheaper that way as you won’t have to pay PayPal fees twice, but I guess it depends? Anyway, I didn’t feel comfortable depositing more than required... though they do claim to refund any unused funds to you.

Anyway, my final international shipping fee turned out to be twice the estimated amount... orz They do have this shipping calculator but it’s a bit hard to accurately do an estimate without knowing the package dimensions.... I only had the weight information. They do give you the weight of your item after it arrives at their warehouse. Then you are free to choose the shipping method that best suits you. I saw that SF Express was available, so I chose that since SF Express has always been very quick and reliable in my experience, and the estimated shipping fee was cheaper than EMS, though I’ve only used SF Express for local and mainland China packages. Never tried getting packages from overseas through them.

Anyway, so far, this is my timeline: Time for item to reach Zen Market from seller: 4 days Time for Zen Market to pack my item and calculate my international shipping fee after I’d picked a shipping method: 1 day Time for package to reach me via SF Express: still waiting, on my third day now...

Very nice! The existing holstered guns have always been a bit unwieldy.

I decided I wanted a smaller pistol holster so I made some one part moulds. Most look good, and it’s easy enough to make more if they don’t turn out. I think I might try again with brown stuff, the green is a bit wobbly at this thinness. Plus brown stuff can be filled, which should help in removing the flash.

The traditional space marine pouches are a bit too big for her bolter’s magazines, so I tried one down. Looks good, I should make some moulds of them too.

Na Ccxp18 a @ironstudios anunciou uma figura baseada na dupla-dinâmica dos quadrinhos - Batman e Robin com o concept desenvolvido pelo desenhista Ivan Reis @ivanreisart para 2020. E na @ccxpoficial 2019 a peça foi divulgada. O Diorama Batman e Robin Comics - art scale 1/10. Assim como nas outras figuras dessa série do Ivan Reis/ Iron, ele tomou algumas liberdades e fez um novo concept dos edosrsonagens. Na maioria das vezes, ou melhor, em todas as outras vezes o novo conceito foi muito bem aceito pelos fãs e colecionadores mas agora, com o Batman, ou melhor, com o Robin e manga do seu uniforme que originalmente é verde e mudou para vermelha desagradou alguns fãs das duas franquias.
