Apparently it was something to do with posting copyrighted audio files.. I mean I posted all the Kiss Me Once tracks a couple months ago. And that's why I can't even get my blog back and had to create a new one. It's so unfair because everybody does that and my blog was the one that got deleted..

hey! I see you post a lot of this Irish dance (I follow you for Gaga) and I never really seen or heard of it, could you tell me a little bit about it, it looks quite funny tbh (don't take that the wrong way) :) xo

Hey yeah I’m really sorry, I’m probably going to go crazy posting Irish dance stuff this week because it’s the world champs atm! I don’t really know how to explain it exactly - it’s crazy! There’s two kinds of dance - hard/heavy shoe and soft/light shoe - the hard shoe is kiiiind of like tap (it makes noise) but at the same time it’s completely different.. Here’s a video if you’re interested? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPBfUCmB_w0&playnext=1&list=PL8706F1F582C12021&feature=results_video (it’s the senior champions from and Australian competition) There’s also soft/light shoe which isn’t really like anything - it’s more about elevation movements - here’s a video of that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZoRZkte5Rg (This one is the two over21 world champs from last year) There’s also team dancing which is in soft/light shoes.. But all the solo dancing is done with our arms by our sides which is what makes it totally different from other styles of dance. As for the costumes - most people outside of the Irish dance world don’t understand them which is fine - they’re really just part of the package - dancers used to wear more traditional costumes but they’ve evolved due to the competitiveness of the sport. At competitions there’s up to three dancers doing their own thing on stage at a time and the judges have to give each one a mark based on their entire performance so as soon as you walk on stage you want the judge to watch you first - you want to give off the impression that you are confident and good at what you do before you even start dancing. The fake tan and make up are more so that you don’t look washed out under the stage lights, while the wigs/other hair styles and eye catching dresses are to help create the look of a champion. If you’ve heard of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance etc - that’s Irish dance (not quite the same as what we do in competition costume- and arm-wise but it’s pretty much the same movements with our feet) Hmm that’s all I can think of to say right now so I’ll leave it there but thanks for the question!
