I’m flashing back to this ink & watercolour piece of my little “shrine” I did last year! I am currently fighting major ennui!! and I’ve been staring at my little shrine a lot lately, my shells, plants, ocean washed rocks,palo santo & my singing bowl; looking for answers! I just did an awesome #drawwithmesketchbookskool live event on youtube with Danny Gregory from Sketchbook Skool 2min sketches , portraits, using vintage mugshots. They just don’t have “faces” like this any more😝This was such a great exercise, started with a big ink pen, ran out of ink...such a great idea! my next entry to spoonflower weekly design challenge, creating a pattern in a “paint by number”style! Spring is in the Air! It’s harder to draw in that “style” then you’d think, for me anyways! opaque colours, simple designs! I used Spring as my inspiration, reusing but changing up a few icons from earlier work! I reworked my favourite quote, thank you Astrid Lindgren & Pippi! in a vintage lettering style! I used a starfish stamp I created in procreate, with my hand-lettering that was done traditionally (ink on paper) & then imported to digital! where I worked the rest! and thanks to Liz Kohler Brown & skillshare!
