The Game-Changing Benefits of Artificial Grass for Tennis & Padel
Particularly in tennis and padel, artificial grass has transformed sports courts' operation. More sports facilities, clubs, and residential owners are choosing artificial grass as the go-to answer as demand for high-performance, low-maintenance playing surfaces rises. Over natural grass or hard surfaces, this contemporary surface improves the playing experience, durability, and general aesthetics of courts, therefore influencing their decision.
Installing artificial grass for tennis courts benefits you regardless of your level of activity—professional athlete, casual player, or facility owner. From better gameplay to financial savings, this page investigates the main advantages of artificial grass for your sports court.

1. Outstanding Resilience for Extended Use
The toughness and lifetime of artificial grass are among its main benefits. Artificial turf is made to resist extensive use, unlike real grass, which wears out fast from foot traffic and changing weather. Whether you are holding daily games or professional contests, the surface stays the same, whole and aesthetically pleasing for years. A wise long-term investment as excellent artificial grass may last 10 to 15 years with little upkeep.
2. Constant Playing Surface for Enhanced Performance
The surface's quality and homogeneity define how every court performs. A smooth, consistent texture from artificial grass lessens erratic ball bounces and uneven foot traction. Artificial turf guarantees that players enjoy the same conditions across the whole court unlike real grass, which might develop bald sections, muddy patches, or uneven bounce zones. Especially in fast-paced games, this yields improved control, stability, and gaming accuracy.
3. Cost Effectiveness & Low Maintenance
Maintaining a natural grass court requires constant watering, mowing, fertilising, and section repairs when broken. Conversely, artificial grass greatly reduces effort and maintenance expenses. By not requiring irrigation or consistent upkeep, facility owners and homeowners save time, water, and money; this assures a flawless, tournament-ready surface. Artificial grass will remain in the best shape with occasional brushing and cleaning.
4. Excellent Shock Absorption for Athlete Safety
Tennis and padel players give safety first importance. Hence, artificial grass provides great shock absorption to reduce impact-related injuries. Synthetic fibres and specific infill materials assist in absorbing stress, therefore lessening the strain on ankles, knees, and joints. Older athletes and pros who participate in demanding training sessions or protracted games especially benefit from this. Fewer injuries and more fun playing experience follow from a cushioned surface.
5. All-weather Playability
Natural grass's reliance on weather patterns is one of its biggest drawbacks. While severe heat dries up and damages the surface, too much rain may transform a court into a muddy, unusable mess. On the other hand, artificial grass is made to be weather-resistant so that players may enjoy the court all year long, rain or sunlight notwithstanding. Artificial grass avoids waterlogging by means of built-in drainage systems, therefore guaranteeing rapid drying after rain.
6. Customising Choices for Many Play Forms
Customising artificial grass allows one to fit many playing styles and preferences. Tennis and padel courts need certain pile heights, fibre densities, and infill compositions to maximise playability. Some artificial grass choices, for instance, are designed for quicker ball movement, while others provide greater grip and control. To fit their preferred playing conditions and professional criteria, court owners may choose the perfect grass parameters.
7. Sustainable and Water-saving Solution
Artificial grass is a green substitute for real grass in view of growing worries about water conservation. Particularly in hot and arid areas, traditional tennis and padel courts with natural grass depend on plenty of water for irrigation. Changing to artificial grass would help facility managers drastically cut water use while still preserving a rich, green look all year long. Furthermore, artificial grass is built from recyclable and non-toxic components, and the current artificial grass supports environmental initiatives.
8. UV Resistance for Extended Aesthetic Value
Natural grass may dry out, discolour, or grow patches depending on continuous sunlight. UV-resistant high-quality artificial grass prevents colour fade over time and wear-through. This guarantees that, even in direct sunlight, the court stays vivid, aesthetically pleasing, and in excellent shape for years. Artificial grass is a favoured option for private facilities and professional sports grounds because it allows constant aesthetics and performance.
9. Less Court Downtime for Ongoing Play
Natural grass courts must often close for water recovery, mowing, or re-seeding. Artificial grass lets you play continuously without significant interruptions by eliminating long maintenance times. Maximising court availability is essential for arranging events, practice sessions and matches, whether for a club, a school or a professional training centre. Artificial grass guarantees minimum downtime and always game-ready court conditions.
10. Improved Player Comfort during Extended Matches
Artificial grass lessens player wear and tear by offering a softer, more forgiving surface than hard courts. The cushioned texture reduces stress on muscles and joints, therefore enabling sportsmen to play for longer periods without pain. For both amateur and professional players who participate in protracted training sessions or competitive games, this is extremely helpful. Better endurance, performance, and a more fun gaming experience follow from a comfortable playing surface.
11. Noise Reducing for a More Concentrated Game
One often disregarded advantage of artificial grass is its potential to lower playtime noise levels. Hard courts may magnify noises hence games become louder and more annoying for both players and viewers. Artificial grass absorbs impact and lowers noise, therefore providing a calmer, more concentrated space for training sessions and competitive games. For indoor courts, homes, and professional training facilities especially, this function is rather important.
12. Perfect for Sports Facilities with Multiple Uses
Many sports teams and leisure venues schedule many sports events on the same court. Tennis, padel, futsal, and other outdoor sports may all be played on the flexible surface artificial grass offers. For multi-use sporting venues, its dependability, versatility, and visual appeal make it a sensible option. By choosing a surface that fits many sports without calling for continuous adjustments, facility managers gain from cost savings and improved functioning.
Conclusion
Offering durability, looks, safety, and little maintenance, artificial grass has evolved into a game-changing answer for tennis and padel courts.
Investing in a high-performance synthetic turf for padel courts will help players to experience consistent bounce, great traction, and long-lasting performance, therefore enhancing the enjoyment and competitiveness of every game. Artificial grass is the perfect surface for contemporary tennis and padel courts with all-weather flexibility, environmental advantages, and simple customising.

Summer: Artificial Grass Tips
Artificial grass is best in the summer since it is easy to maintain and helps keep dust out of your home. Additionally, it will preserve water. In contrast to natural turf, these floor coverings periodically warm up a little more than regular grass. Thankfully, there are various ways to solve this. Here are some simple guidelines for keeping your artificial grass in Dubai cool and comfy during hot weather.
For Hot Climates, Artificial Grass Is Effective
If you haven't had grass installed yet, you should speak with a specialist before purchasing. Artificial grass' cutting-edge technology has significantly improved heat management by reflecting sunlight rather than absorbing heat. A SUMMER TIP FOR ARTIFICIAL GRASS: Pay attention to grass varieties with brighter or lighter colors and lighter face weight for hotter areas.
Summer Advice: Water Your Synthetic Grass
The fastest and easiest approach to cool established fake grass is to mist it with water. As the water cools your grass, it will eliminate dirt and other debris, giving your environment a fresh, vibrant appearance. Because of the prolonged dampness and coldness of the soil beneath the synthetic turf, the grass will swiftly cool and keep its coolness.
Shade Your Artificial Grass from Sunlight in the Summer
A great way to keep the grass cool is to avoid it from heating up in the first place. You may do this by planting tall trees with a dense canopy around your lawn, or you can purchase a garden set with a canopy over your grass. Your grass should stay cozy and cold as long as there is still shade over it.
Install cooling infill for the summer.
Using the right infill is essential to keep your lawn cooler. The gaps between the grass blades can be filled with a substance referred to as infill. This infill helps keep your grass leaves upright and in place, while also supplying stability, reducing ripples, and aiding in water drainage.
The industry offers a variety of filler products, including cork, recycled rubber, washed dried silica sand, and coconut husk. However, most professional companies that install Artificial Grass in Dubai typically use an infill, which may reduce the heat produced on your grass by up to 30%. The finest granules for pet areas are those with pores since they can absorb both ammonia and water.
Remember to avoid rubber infills, frequently used on artificial sports fields, as they may enhance heat absorption.

It’s almost the season to enjoy quiet moments in your yard with your close-knitted loved ones. Outdoor eating areas, fireplaces, walkways, ornate staircases, and even water features will light up your dream garden to add to your yard’s hardscaping. By incorporating a hardscape design made of natural materials into your yard, you may boost the value of your home and create areas inside it that can be used throughout the year.
Firstly, let’s understand why hardscaping is important for your greenspace through this listicle before you pick your cost-effective Landscaping services provider in Dubai. Jump right in!

The man-made materials that are used for your hardscaping won’t need any watering, trimming, pruning, or weeding. CRICKET: THE MYSTERY GAME
Cricket game today I am with a fascinating and interesting blog. Today we are going to explore about Cricket. Let’s go!
Cricket is a gentleman’s game and it was a mystery until many were unknown to the game now men’s & women’s both are playing well. A game with a lot of opportunities and a lot of hard work and patience to learn and expertise in it. Nowadays as all, you know Ipl matches are going on in Dubai in which 8 teams are competing for each other to compete and win the title.
Twenty20 cricket (T20 Cricket)
Twenty20 cricket has 20 overs for each side and each bowler can bowl up to 4 overs maximum unlike 10 overs in an ODI match. The highest team score is 263/5 by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Pune Warriors India (PWI) in the 2013 IPL season. The highest individual score is 175* off 69 balls by Chris Gayle for RCB in the same match.
Meanwhile, the British Empire had been instrumental in spreading the game overseas, and by the middle of the 19th century it had become well established in Australia, the Caribbean, India, New Zealand, North America, and South Africa In 1844, the first-ever international match took place between the United States and Canada. In 1859, a team of English players went to North America on the first overseas tour.
MCC quickly became the sport’s premier club and the custodian of the Laws of Cricket. New Laws introduced in the latter part of the 18th century included the three stump wicket and leg before wicket (lbw).
The game underwent major development in the 18th century to become England’s national sport. It’s successfully underwritten by the twin necessities of patronage and betting. Cricket was prominent in London as early as 1707 and, in the middle years of the century, large crowds flocked to match on the Artillery Ground in Finsbury. The single wicket form of the sport attracted huge crowds and wagers to match, its popularity peaking in the 1748 season. Bowling underwent an evolution around 1760 when bowlers began to pitch the ball instead of rolling or skimming it towards the batsman. This caused a revolution in bat design because, to deal with the bouncing ball, it was necessary to introduce the modern straight bat in place of the old “hockey stick” shape Cricket has had a broad impact on popular culture, both in the Commonwealth of Nations and elsewhere. It has, for example, influenced the lexicon of these nations, especially the English language, with various phrases such as “that’s not cricket” (that’s unfair), “had good innings” (lived a long life), and “sticky wicket” The wickets are sets of three small, wooden posts that are at each end of a rectangle of short grass called ‘the pitch’, which is 22 yards long, cricket is played in the countries where cricket is most popular compete in international matches (games between countries) that last up to 5 days, which are called Test matches. Those countries are England, Australia, West Indies, South Africa, New Zealand, India, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. The West Indies are a group of Caribbean countries that play together as a team. Several other countries have more junior status. The test match idea was invented by teams from England and Australia in the 19th century. Ireland and Afghanistan are the new teams that can play Test cricket. The pitch is inside a much larger oval of grass called the ‘area of play’. The area of play is a 30-yard circle inside the cricket ground or stadium. When a player is out, a teammate will replace them in the field. When a team no longer has enough “not-out” players left to score, then the other team gets the chance to try to score. In shorter games of cricket, a team may also have to stop batting when the ball has been thrown to their players a certain number of times. After both teams have had enough chances to score, the team with the most runs wins. “On a sticky wicket” (aka “sticky dog” or “glue pot”) is a metaphor used to describe a difficult circumstance. It originated as a term for difficult batting conditions in cricket, caused by a damp and soft pitch.
The rise of limited-overs cricket
Cricket entered a new era in 1963 when English counties introduced the limited overs variant. As it was sure to produce a result, limited overs cricket was lucrative and the number of matches increased. The first Limited Overs International was played in 1971 and the governing International Cricket Council (ICC), seeing its potential, staged the first limited overs Cricket World Cup in 1975. In the 21st century, a new limited-overs form, Twenty20, made an immediate impact. On 22 June 2017, Afghanistan and Ireland became the 11th and 12th ICC full members, enabling them to play Test cricket.
The 19th century saw underarm bowling superseded by first roundarm and then overarm bowling. Both developments were controversial. The organization of the game at the county level led to the creation of the county clubs, starting with Sussex in 1839. In December 1889, the eight leading county clubs formed the official County Championship, which began in 1890.
Nowadays there are many apps to look for the Live score and all the updates of cricket news and everything about cricket tournaments and matches live going on.
History of Cricket
It began in the 13th century played in the streets as starting days of this game after it gradually moved to a 22 yard where 11 players played as batsmen, the wicketkeeper, bowler, and all-rounder.
How Cricket is played?
Cricket is played with bat and ball in which two teams are there of 11 each from both sides. There are bat, ball and stumps, and many others wearing equipment like helmet, gloves, and pads. When the stumps are hit the player will get out & the next player comes in. It was invented and started as a game in England by some street children in their nearby places where they would use to gather and play. Cricket is a game where all play with a lot of enthusiasm and joy and sportsmanship. Most expensive worth games in the World. First laws of cricket were passed in 1744 with some new innovative ideas like LBW, hitting the middle stump.
Present Cricket World
Though Cricket became a popular international game among men it becomes playable for women 10 years ago only. Somewhere in 1926, the women’s cricket foundation was made. Now women can actively participate in the International Cricket matches very proudly. Their active participation has contributed to the economy as well. This year as it was Covid-19 as there are no fans and audience so it was like utter silence, & the President of South African Cricket Association, wrote a letter to the Marylebone Cricket Club’s (MCC, England) secretary, F.E. Lacey. Bailey suggested the formation of an ‘Imperial Cricket Board’. In the letter, he suggested that the board would be responsible for the formulation of rules and regulations which will govern the international matches between the three members. Now some people are getting a chance as virtual fans.
In cricket there are two special kinds of average, used to measure how good a player is:
A batsman’s batting average is the number of runs he has scored in a period (such as a year or his whole career), divided by the number of times he was got out in the same period. A good batsman has a high batting average. The highest T20 average for a batsman who has played at least 20 innings is 70.66 by Chris Harris.
A bowler’s bowling average is the number of runs that have been scored while he was bowling, in a period, divided by the number of batsmen he has got out in the same period. A good bowler has a low bowling average. The lowest T20 bowling average for a bowler who has bowled at least 500 balls is Mushtaq Ahmed with 13.80.
There are so many apps also to know about the cricket tournament updates and many match summaries of all the matches. I want to discuss one of the apps. Let’s go
Laws and gameplay:
In cricket, the rules of the game are specified in a code called The Laws of Cricket (hereinafter called “the Laws”) which has a global remit. There are 42 Laws (always written with a capital “L”). The earliest known version of the code was drafted in 1744 and, since 1788, it has been owned and maintained by its custodian, the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in London.
Playing area:
In the approximate center of the field is a rectangular pitch (see the image, below) on which a wooden target called a wicket is sited at each end; the wickets are placed 22 yards (20 m) apart. The pitch is a flat surface 10 feet (3.0 m) wide, with very short grass that tends to be worn away as the game progresses (cricket can also be played on artificial surfaces, notably matting). Each wicket is made of three wooden stumps topped by two bails.
Batting runs, and extras
Batsmen take turns to bat via a batting order which is decided beforehand by the team captain and presented to the umpires, though the order remains flexible when the captain officially nominates the team. Substitute batsmen are generally not allowed, except in the case of concussion substitutes in international cricket.
To begin batting the batsman first adopts a batting stance. Standardly, this involves adopting a slight crouch with the feet pointing across the front of the wicket, looking in the direction of the bowler, and holding the bat so it passes over the feet and so its tip can rest on the ground near to the toes of the back foot.
A skilled batsman can use a wide array of “shots” or “strokes” in both defensive and attacking mode. The idea is to hit the ball to the best effect with the flat surface of the bat’s blade. If the ball touches the side of the bat it is called an “edge”. The batsman does not have to play a shot and can allow the ball to go through to the wicketkeeper. Equally, he does not have to attempt a run when he hits the ball with his bat. Batsmen do not always seek to hit the ball as hard as possible, and a good player can score runs just by making a deft stroke with a turn of the wrists or by simply “blocking” the ball but directing it away from fielders so that he has time to take a run.
Match structure and closure:
the team captains (who are also players) toss a coin to decide which team will bat first and so take the first innings. Innings is the term used for each phase of play in the match. In each innings, one team bats, attempting to score runs, while the other team bowls and fields the ball, attempting to restrict the scoring and dismiss the batsmen. When the first innings ends, the teams change roles; there can be two to four innings depending upon the type of match. A match with four scheduled innings is played over three to five days; a match with two scheduled innings is usually completed in a single day. During an innings, all eleven members of the fielding team take the field, but usually, only two members of the batting team are on the field at any given time. The exception to this is if a batsman has any type of illness or injury restricting his or her ability to run, in this case, the batsman is allowed a runner who can run between the wickets when the batsman hits a scoring run or runs, though this does not apply in international cricket The order of batsmen is usually announced just before the match, but it can be varied.
Innings
An innings may end early while there are still two not out batsmen:
the batting team’s captain may declare the innings closed even though some of his players have not had a turn to bat: this is a tactical decision by the captain, usually because he believes his team have scored sufficient runs and need time to dismiss the opposition in their innings
the set number of overs (i.e., in a limited-overs match) have been bowled
the match has ended prematurely due to bad weather or running out of time
in the final innings of the match, the batting side has reached its target and won the game.
Overs
The Laws state that, throughout an innings, “the ball shall be bowled from each end alternately in overs of 6 balls”. The name “over” came about because the umpire calls “Over!” when six balls have been bowled. At this point, another bowler is deployed at the other end, and the fielding side changes ends while the batsmen do not. A bowler cannot bowl two successive overs, although a bowler can (and usually does) bowl alternate overs, from the same end, for several overs which are termed a “spell”. The batsmen do not change ends at the end of the over, and so the one who was non-striker is now the striker and vice versa. The umpires also change positions so that the one who was at “square leg” now stands behind the wicket at the non-striker’s end and vice versa.
Player roles
During normal play, thirteen players and two umpires are on the field. Two of the players are batsmen and the rest are all eleven members of the fielding team. The other nine players in the batting team are off the field in the pavilion. The image with the overlay below shows what is happening when a ball is being bowled and which of the personnel are on or close to the pitch.
While the umpire (1) in shot stands at the bowler’s end of the pitch, his colleague stands in the outfield, usually in or near the fielding position called “square leg”, so that he is in line with the popping crease (7) at the striker’s end of the pitch. The bowling crease (not numbered) is the one on which the wicket is located between the return creases (12). The bowler (4) intends to hit the wicket (9) with the ball (5) or, at least, to prevent the striker (8) from scoring runs. The striker (8) intends, by using his bat, to defend his wicket and, if possible, to hit the ball away from the pitch to score runs.
Fielding
Of the eleven fielders, three are shot in the image above. The other eight are elsewhere on the field, their positions are determined on a tactical basis by the captain or the bowler. Fielders often change positions between deliveries, again as directed by the captain or bowler. If a fielder is injured or becomes ill during a match, a substitute is allowed to field instead of him, but the substitute cannot bowl or act as a captain, except in the case of concussion substitutes in international cricket, The substitute leaves the field when the injured player is fit to return. The Laws of Cricket were updated in 2017 to allow substitutes to act as wicket-keepers.
Bowling and dismissal
Most bowlers are considered specialists in that they are selected for the team because of their skill as a bowler, although some are all-rounders and even specialist batsmen bowl occasionally. The specialists bowl several times during an innings but may not bowl two overs consecutively. If the captain wants a bowler to “change ends”, another bowler must temporarily fill in so that the change is not immediate.
Fast bowlers, needing momentum, take a lengthy run-up while bowlers with a slow delivery take no more than a couple of steps before bowling. Other fast bowlers rely on a mixture of speed and guile by making the ball seam or swing (i.e. curve) in flight. This type of delivery can deceive a batsman into miscuing his shot, for example, so that the ball just touches the edge of the bat and can then be “caught behind” by the wicket-keeper or a slip fielder. At the other end of the bowling, the scale is the spin bowler who bowls at a relatively slow pace and relies entirely on guile to deceive the batsman. A spinner will often “buy his wicket” by “tossing one up” (in a slower, steeper parabolic path) to lure the batsman into making a poor shot. In between the pacemen and the spinners are the medium-paced seamers who rely on persistent accuracy to try to contain the rate of scoring and wear down the batsman’s concentration.

List of top 6 players in the cricketing format
(A) Top batsmen1 Steve Smith
Steve Smith is one of the best players in the test match. Former captain of Australia.
The best Test batsman at present, Steven Smith’s career redemption is a story for the ages. Having made his name initially as a potential leg-spinner who could bat a bit, there was immense criticism, even among those in Australia over the quality of his selection during his early days in international cricket.
It was the 2007-08 domestic season when Smith made his debut across formats. His boyish charm and the run-up to the crease even drew comparisons with the legendary Shane Warne who had just retired from international cricket a season or so before. Smith’s talent was evident but he was too raw for the big stage. In a couple of years, the national call-up came with the limited-overs debut happening in February 2010. The tour of England later that year saw his initiation in the longest format as well.
Smith started as a player who could bat at 7 or 8 apart from bowling his leggies. There was a feeling among the pundits that the bloke had more talent with the bat than with the ball. There was certainly a lot of courage about Smith the batsman and he started working more consciously on it. In the coming years, he would be proved right in a big way.
A young Smith was at the forefront of Australia’s victorious World Cup win in 2015. Consistent through the tournament, it was his antics at the business end that was laudable. His last five knocks in the tournament were all fifty-plus scores and he became the first player to have such knocks in the quarterfinal, semifinal, and final of the World Cup. It wasn’t his first World Cup though, as he had played in the 2011 edition but more as a bowling all-rounder who could bowl leg-spin. As a premier player, 2015 was his first real test and he passed it with flying colors. Come to the 2019 tournament, Smith will be the glue around which Australia’s batting revolves.

A spunky, chubby teenager with gelled hair shot to fame after leading India to glory in the Under-19 World Cup at Kuala Lumpur in early 2008. In an Indian team filled with saint-like icons worthy of their own hagiographies, Virat Kohli, with his most un-Indian, ‘bad-boy’ intensity, would clearly be an outcast.
Grind through the ranks He soon joined the senior Men in Blue in Sri Lanka, come August 2008. He played some commendable knocks in his extended run as an opener, as India went on to win the ODI series. However, the established and formidable pair of Tendulkar and Sehwag kept Kohli out of the team
The 20-year-old continued to impress for Delhi and dominated attacks, clearly demonstrating that he belonged at a much higher level; that junior cricket was beneath his standards. Kohli then traveled to Australia in 2009 for the Emerging player’s tournament and stamped his authority all over the bowling attacks. He added ‘big-match temperament’ to his résumé too, lacing a fluent hundred in the final against South Africa, and guiding his team to a clinical victory. The young prodigy, barely old enough to receive his man-of-the-match champagne, ended the tournament with 398 runs from 7 outings with two centuries and two fifties, ensuring that he remained fresh in the selectors’ minds.
Cementing a national spot The selectors had no choice but to give Kohli another go on the Indian side, and this time he strung together many impressive scores. In the World Cup final of 2011, the biggest stage of them all, Kohli, along with his Delhi teammate Gautam Gambhir, pulled off a largely underrated rescue effort with an 83-run stand after losing the openers early. This knock played a crucial role in setting the platform for MS Dhoni’s fabled knock of 91*, which eventually won India the World Cup on that enchanting evening in Mumbai.
In the hangover of the World Cup euphoria, Kohli continued to take giant strides in the limited-overs format. After a series each against the Dukes ball and the SG ball, it was now time for his trial against the Kookaburra Down Under. In the first two Tests, he seemed to lack the technique to play in Australia, maintaining his low stance on the bouncy tracks. He also had a rather restricting trigger movement with his front-foot routinely coming across towards off-stump, thereby hindering the necessary movement to play back-foot shots such as the pull and the cut.
A baptism by fire Down Under The selectors and the captain persisted with him going into the 3rd Test, and he delivered a break-through performance on a bouncy Perth wicket – an impressive 75 – where a visible change in technique was visible. He managed to stand tall, with a more open stance and exhibited the back-foot shots in his repertoire during the course of the innings. The volatile Kohli managed to overshadow his impropriety in conduct with his performance in the final Test of the series. While he grappled and clawed his way into the Test side, he went on a record-breaking spree in ODIs: the Indian record for the fastest to multiples-of-thousand runs in ODIs, culminating in the world record for the fastest to 9000 runs in ODIs. He was also the highest run-scorer for India in ODIs for three consecutive calendar years – 2010, 2011, and 2012 and won the ICC ODI cricketer of the year award in 2012.
That break-through inning… We remember the accolades, but where did it all begin? There’s always the one innings that made the world sit up and take notice; the 86-ball knock which he started as a brash boy, but ended as a man. Chasing an improbable target of 321 off 40 overs to stay alive in the tournament, he laid into the Sri Lankan bowlers and carted his way to 133*, getting India home with more than 2 overs to spare, practically pulling them out of the airport after M.S. Dhoni.
King Kohli had arrived. The king of the run-chase, and a plethora of ODI records in the modern age. He is arguably one of the finest batsmen that the country has produced. He has even drawn comparisons with the great Sachin Tendulkar. With a firm bottom-hand grip and the ability to smash balls landing on a particular area to any part of the ground at will and without much risk, Kohli has carved a niche of his own in Indian cricket.
Kohli rose to fame when he captained India’s victorious World Cup Under-19 side in Malaysia, in 2008. He also went on to become the captain of the team in 2012 and has continued to remain so since then. Devoid of noteworthy performances in the first edition, his domestic form still won him an India ODI cap on the tour to Sri Lanka in the same year.

3 Kane Williamson
Kane Williamson is one of the best players with the best in T20 matches. Current Captain of the New Zealand team after Martin Guptill.
Arguably New Zealand’s finest batsman since the legendary Martin Crowe, Kane Williamson had been a wonder kid since his teenage days. His exceptional talent included the rare Non-Asian skill to play quality spin apart from being adept against fast bowling. It would be fair to say the Williamson family boasted of sports freak all around. While his father had played cricket at certain age groups, his mother was a fine basketball player and his sisters excelled in volleyball. His leadership skills were in abundance, just like his batting. Along expected lines, the year 2010 saw Williamson donning the Kiwi colors, making his international debut in Sri Lanka for the tri-series that also featured India. The Test call-up came and it was for a challenging trip to India but Williamson made a massive statement but racking up a century on debut.
The following years saw Williamson scoring runs albeit not at the highly consistent levels that one expected from him. That changed in 2014 though during the ODI home series against India when he also broke a heap of records. With fifty-plus scores in all five games, he became only the second batsman in ODI history (after Yasir Hameed) to achieve this feat. He also became the fourth New Zealand player to hit five or more consecutive fifty-plus scores in ODIs. His five fifty-plus scores are also the most by an NZ batsman in a bilateral series.
If 2014 was a superb year for Williamson, it was 2015 that put him officially into the big league of batsmen. He notched up 1172 runs in Tests at a staggering average of 90 apart from amassing a gargantuan 1376 runs in ODIs at a strong average of 57. More than the numbers, it was the effortless ease with which he handled bowling attacks that impressed everybody. 2015 was also a historic year for New Zealand as they made their first-ever World Cup final appearance.
It happened in early 2016 after Brendon McCullum announced retirement from all forms of international cricket, just before the World T20 in India. It was a huge role but Williamson took to it fairly well, much like people had expected him to. Still, a long way to go as captain in terms of success but the one thing that stands out about his leadership skills is his ability to be tactically street-smart.
Williamson’s batting is a purist’s delight – what with his classy strokeplay blending nicely with his footwork and gritty temperament. You could argue that his role is that of a sheet anchor around which the other Kiwi batsmen revel. However, if he can raise his white-ball skills a notch upward, he could be a real phenomenon in world cricket. This is not to suggest that he hasn’t produced impact knocks in the shorter formats. It has been quite a few knocks in that regard and he had shown in the 2017 IPL that he can adapt to that role easily.
IPL through the years
He who is often referred to as a classical Test batsman was first signed by an IPL franchise in 2015. The Sunrisers Hyderabad had him in their kitty for less than $100,000, and in the first season, he didn’t return the dividends – particularly given the limited opportunities he had in an unfamiliar lower-middle order position. Against all odds, the Kiwi skipper exhibited a different dimension in his batting, hammering 735 runs at 52.50 and a strike-rate of 142.44. With Warner out of contention for any leadership role, Williamson is likely to continue with the role in the 2019 season and certainly remains a vital cog in the batting order of the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

6 Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma is the hero of Indian cricket and the top leading batsmen in the team. Former captain of India and now as Vice-captain.
Talent – an apparently heartening term that has followed Rohit Sharma around like a shadow; even haunted him at times. It seems to be a burden that the cricketing fraternity has enforced upon him and, after more than a decade in the national setting, he has been weighed down by the label.
Harsha Bhogle spoke of whispers in the domestic circuit; of coaches and scouts spotting the effortless, free-flowing stroke-play of a Mumbai teenager. he shot to the limelight when he scored a brisk unbeaten triple-hundred at the Ranji level.
He was called on in a last-minute emergency replacement to play a league game against the hosts. After a lackluster start to the Indian innings, the 20-year-old strode out into Kingsmead and stroked his way to a fluent half-century against the likes of Pollock, Ntini, and Morkel as though he were having a net session. He showed startling maturity under pressure to survive till the end of the innings, escorting India to a respectable total that they ultimately defended, knocking South Africa out of the tournament in their own backyard.
Indians have a thing for like-for-like replacements. More specifically, they have a thing for spotting similarities with the days gone by. he was subsequently picked for the ODI team. He made an impression in the CB series Down Under, playing some crucial cameos against stalwarts like Brett Lee and Stuart Clark, and a more-than-competent Sri Lankan attack. These inspired away performances in the World T20 and the CB series caught the eye of the selectors and warranted him an extended run with the limited-overs side.
In the first two years of the IPL, his performance stood out, as he made over 350 runs each time for the Deccan Chargers and proved his worth to his franchise. He was then transferred to the Mumbai Indians franchise in 2011 and has been one of their most consistent batsmen over the years. However, this turned out to be another false dawn as he followed it up with a string of low scores in the CB series in Australia and a nightmare tour of Sri Lanka with 14 runs in 5 innings, including 2 ducks. He had already been given a more-than-extended run and was starting to build an unenviable reputation of a frustratingly fascinating player.

(B) Top 6 Bowlers1 Pat Cummins
One of the best bowlers from the Australian team and an all-rounder also. Best bowling skills in the present cricket world. A fiery Pat Cummins set the international arena ablaze with his Test debut in 2011 on a juicy Wanderers pitch. A seven-wicket match haul including a six-for in the second innings gave Australia a chaseable score which they eventually gunned down, albeit by a narrow margin. He was impeccably complete, that too at such an early age which promised so much. Tragedy struck though, which meant that he didn’t play a single Test match for about six years.
Cummins has no real weakness in his skill set but a fragile body meant that he couldn’t capitalize on the sensational debut that he had. Although he did feature in white-ball cricket during this Test hiatus, there too he wasn’t a regular starter with injuries inevitably consuming him at frequent intervals. It did seem like such a powerhouse of talent would end up combusting in the flame of injuries. However, the 2016-17 season saw Cummins upping his fitness levels in a big way. After a few years of constant preparation, it seems like the body was finally starting to be stable.
He was picked for the Test tour of India in early 2017 and this was an examination for him in all aspects. The sub-continent isn’t the best place for a fast bowler due to the pitches and the temperature levels. Add to that Cummins’ inherent fragility and there were concerns on how he would pull up. But he put all that to rest by featuring in two Tests back to back and seemed quite hungry for more. The IPL season that year saw him play more competitive cricket and the presence of Indian pace great Zaheer Khan helped Cummins mold himself a lot better.
Despite the progress, Cummins still had to consistently keep the good work going for putting his career on track. The Bangladesh tour saw Cummins progressing well and after proving his fitness over a long period of time, he got the nod for the all-important Ashes series at home in 2017-18. It was the ideal opportunity to make a statement and Cummins didn’t let it go. He had an excellent series, often claiming crucial breakthroughs, and also made invaluable contributions with the bat. Australia regained the urn and the cricketing world was convinced that Cummins is here to stay for long.
Ever since that series, Cummins has progressed to becoming the premier strike bowler of the national team across formats with the ODI series win in India in 2019 being a massive achievement. Fitness was the only concern anyway and his determination has allowed him to know his body better. Barring injuries, there is nothing that can stop him from a legend.

2 Trent Boult
Trent Boult is one of the fast bowlers with the best wickets in Test matches. He is playing from New Zealand in the International team. Boult was in and around the New Zealand team but only made his Test debut in Hobart in December 2011.
Boult’s first Test wicket was Michael Hussey as who picked up four wickets in the match and helped New Zealand win a Test in Australia for the first time since 1985. He has had a fairly good start to his career as he has picked up wickets against England, West Indies, India, and Sri Lanka. His moment of glory came in the second Test against West Indies at Basin Reserve, where he got his first 10-wicket haul. That performance also gave Boult his first Man of the Match award. He continued to have a great time in Test cricket as he picked up 10 wickets in the two games against India, which New Zealand won 1-0. and was a regular member of the Test side and was always amongst the wickets. Due to his ability to swing the ball, both ways at pace, the selectors named him in the squad for the 2015 World Cup. Boult finished the joint-highest wicket-taker in the 2015 World Cup with 22 scalps, enhancing his reputation as one of world cricket’s exciting new talents with the ball. His high point came in the group stage victory over Australia, where he demolished the eventual champions with 5 for 28.

His high point came in the group stage victory over Australia, where he demolished the eventual champions with his spell of 5 for 27.
Few of his other impressive spells came against West Indies at Wellington and Afghanistan at Napier where Boult claimed four wickets and three wickets respectively. The match where Guptill scored a double ton was one of them and the other one was against Afghanistan where the Blackcaps steamrolled the opposition by six wickets. Although Boult has played only one World Cup, he has become one of the integral parts of the New Zealand bowling attack. Safe to say, he’s their spearhead at present and is going to play an important role in New Zealand’s World Cup campaign in 2019.

4 Stuart Broad
Stuart Broad is one of the best bowlers from England with the fast pace he delivers many wickets and performs well for his team. He toiled hard on his Test debut in Sri Lanka as he showed admirable heart in adverse circumstances. and starred with both bat and ball during New Zealand and South Africa series, but he was at his best during England’s victorious 2009 Ashes campaign, had fired a warning shot against the Aussies. It was in the fifth Test at the Oval that Broad churned out his best-ever performance. His spell of 5/37 ruined Australia’s chances and helped England to victory.
He also scored a century at Lords in the year 2010, something that his father had never achieved. It was his first-ever century in any form of cricket and came when England needed it the most but he well played in his team. His team was struggling at 102 for 7 against a brilliant Pakistan bowling attack and his 332-run world record stand with Trott helped England recover and seal the series. And had a very good Ashes in 2013 in England, he ended the series with 22 wickets. He was the Man of the Match in the fourth Test at Chester-le-Street, where he had match figures of 11/121. He bowled a fiery spell and brought England back in the match as he helped them retain the Ashes. This ugly controversy, which saw sparks fly all round, set the tone for the return Ashes Down Under. Infuriated by Broad’s behavior, the Australian press launched a scathing attack on him with the public hopping onto the bandwagon as well. Never the one to back down from a challenge, the lean mean pace machine fought fire with fire, picking up 6 Aussies wickets in the first innings at the Gabba. However, it could not prevent his side from crashing to a cataclysmic loss. Broad had an indifferent tour of Australia, which was cut short due to injury. He started with a half-century in a warm-up game, and overall took 6 wickets over the two games against Western Australia and South Australia In the first Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, he fell for a golden duck in England’s innings, the final victim of Peter Siddle’s hat-trick. Wicketless in Australia’s first innings, he had Simon Katich caught in the second as the Test was drawn. In the second Test at Adelaide, he finished Australia’s first innings off with the wicket of Brad Haddin, but a stomach muscle injury limited his participation in the second where England won by an innings. That injury was revealed to be a muscle tear, and it ruled Broad out of the remaining three Tests and the one-day series that followed. He was not missed for the rest of the Test series but he was for the ODIs because England was plagued by injuries throughout the 6–1 series defeat. Cricket Records

5 Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah is one of the fascinating bowlers in Indian Cricket. Best bowling in every format. A skilled player with a superb yorker. Bumrah built his reputation by being different. A short run-up followed by a snappy bowling action with his arms rigid as bones, where it seems like everything could go wrong, right up until the point when it doesn’t. His reliability makes surprisingly started to stand out amid the mayhem of the IPL. Under the guidance of a death-bowling expert like Lasith Malinga, Bumrah flourished. He made his debut in the 2013 edition of the competition, where he barely got much game time, but would quickly go on to become a regular in the MI playing eleven in the seasons to follow, surprising batsmen with the pace he generated off his wrist.

Previous versions of the Spirit identified actions that were deemed contrary (for example, appealing knowing that the batsman is not out) but all specifics are now covered in the Laws of Cricket, the relevant governing playing regulations and disciplinary codes, or left to the judgment of the umpires, captains, their clubs and governing bodies. The terse expression of the Spirit of Cricket now avoids the diversity of cultural conventions that exist in the detail of sportsmanship – or its absence. While the 1983 World Cup-winning squad included Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, and so on, the 2011 team had MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh to lift the trophy. And don’t forget that Virat Kohli tops the ICC ranking for one- day internationals and Test batting. there is one major international championship per format, and top-level domestic competitions mirror the three main international formats.
