A terrible accident happened at a nuclear power plant. The people, animals and plants that were there turned into terrible mutants. Dangerous anomalies and valuable artifacts appeared in the affected area. The people who went in search of the artifacts were called stalkers, and these stories are just a few of them.

Shreken was looking for happiness in the Zone. He wandered for a long time through the dangerous Swamps and the Junkyard, narrowly avoiding death, but only on Jupiter did he suddenly become happy. Happiness enveloped him completely, but it did not last long. Strong blows to his face suddenly brought him back to earth. "Wake up, Shreken!" he heard Clicken's voice pawing at him. - "You're being zombified by the Controller! I told you, you idiot, not to wander around without psi protection!" Since then, Shreken has often wondered if his thoughts and feelings really belong to him, and not imposed from the outside.
