Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Sam. I am a third-year student studying Animation. In my free time, I like to draw, play mobile games (especially Cookie Run: Kingdom), Scrapbooking, and hang out with friends. My goal is to hopefully work on a storyboard and a character designer, then go my high way up to make my own animated series.
All my life, I wanted to learn how to take professional pictures with a professional camera. I want to use this opportunity to improve my picture taking skills and my art skills, which is why I am taking this class.

Hey everyone! I'm Sean, and I'm currently studying graphic design at Fresno State. My main hobbies are playing video games, drawing, and playing dungeons and dragons, and I'm hoping to eventually become a concept artist or character designer.
I've always liked taking pictures whenever I'm traveling, and I thought that this class would be a good way to help improve the quality of photos I take in the future.

Hello, my name is Destiny and this is my photography blog. Photography has always been something that I have loved from a young age. I started with Polaroid cameras and have worked my way into 35mm film cameras and am getting more into different types of digital cameras. My favorite type of photography is landscape and street photography. This is what I hope to shoot as my profession once I receive my Bachelor’s degree.

"She has ice powers, too!?"
I am amazed at how ONE YouTube video made me ship and read fanfiction, about one ship I couldn't care less about before, like my life depends about it!!!
I. AM. IN. AWE.
It's the leaves I suppose.
Also, did I make Jack glow? Yes.
Did I do it because he looks pretty? Also yes.
It's just for aesthetics. It's not that deep. He's a spirit! He deserves to glow!!!
Thanks to @callimara and @therentyoupay for the amazing fanfic "more than you know". Your contribution to the ship is extremely appreciated! And thanks to introducing me to a whole new world!!!

Project Proposal- Art30 Joanna Torres
For this assignment, I have decided to narrow down my project to the coffee shop I work at. It is called Di Amicis Cafe, which translates to Friends Cafe. My assignment will be based on the history of the coffee shop, the workers, the owner, and the community of Mendota (the location) as to how Di Amici's has affected the community as a whole.
Di Amici’s first established itself in 2008 in Mendota California. Originally, it was meant to be a restaurant. Mendota during this time was not as big as it is now in 2025. The first owner, Samuel, wanted to bring the community together by establishing his restaurant as a place for teenagers and young adults to hang out after football games, or as a “spot” for people to go to afterhours. From what I can remember, the place was known as a breakfast spot in the mornings, close at noon, and open back up at night. My most vivid memory of the place was when my aunt and her now husband took me along with them to go get food. Their curly fries were the best thing in that restaurant. The unfortunate part about the establishment was the building it was in. The restaurant was so hidden-  that was the reason the owner would close during the afternoon and open up during the night. It is now in a much more open location that is in a very populated part of the town, but back then the business struggled to stay open. The greatest outcome was the change in buildings.
Di Amici’s is now owned by a different owner. His name is Raul, or “Boy.” He inherited the coffee shop when his brother no longer wanted it. Boy, the youngest of 9 siblings, is currently going into his third year of being the owner of the coffee shop. Boy is a great boss, he is extremely lenient and flexible with everyone’s busy school schedule. He is very knowledgeable in what it takes to making great coffee and other kinds of drinks. He is also very skilled in making pastries. This is because of his brother, the original owner of the coffee shop, who is going to open a pastry business. Samuel, has traveled to France and London, and has taken classes that teach how to make specialized pastries.
As for the workers of Di Amicis, there are several of us. You have Maria, Naeda, Jose, and Tami Anahi, who all happen to be family members. You also have Fatima and myself. Maria is my sister-in-law, so we are all connected in some way. Everyone who is currently working at the coffee shop all have connections to it growing up. Before they worked at Di Amicis, they were customers of the place as well. They have many fond memories and see Di Amicis as a place with a lot of history.

I'm PARKER GLEZ, and welcome to my ART30 blog!
I am FAR from a photographer, by trade I'm an illustrator and find working with cameras really difficult. That being said, I am somewhat familiar witkh photography, as I took filmmaking courses in highschool!
Something I value a lot in illustration work is vibrant popping colors and excitement. Hopefully, that is something I can pursue with my photography.
Doing so might mean I have to get out of my shell socially speaking, hope I don't clam up!

Artist Research Blog 3: W. Eugene Smith
W. Eugene Smith (1918-1978) was an American photojournalist from Wichita, Kansas. As part of his work for various magazines, Smith was present during portions of the fight between the US and Japan during World War II (including the Battle of Okinawa), documenting the harsh realities of war from both the perspectives of American soldiers and Japanese prisoners. In his years following the end of WWII, Smith continued to work for magazine groups and worked with activists in Japan on a photo essay covering Minamata disease.
Photographer: W. Eugene Smith
Title: US Marines, Battle of Saipan Island
Date: 27 June, 1944
Medium: Black and white photography
Venue: LIFE Magazine
Description: A US marine stares off into the distance as he marches with his fellow soldiers, a gun strapped to his back.
I believe that this photo from the Battle of Saipan is significant as it shares a small portion of what emotions some of the soldiers present on the Japanese front might have been feeling. As Smith was physically present on the battlefield himself (and even sustained injuries at one point because of it), he was in a unique position to capture the perspective of not just the marines, but also the war as a whole. The exhausted expression on the marine’s face in this specific image shows an alertness that comes with the territory of being in enemy territory, while at the same time carrying an emotional weight behind a mask of grit and stoicism created as a response to the harsh environment he’s in.

This is a bit of what my weekend looked like. This far into the pandemic, it feels like everyone is really struggling to find ways to stay entertained. My family seems to be struggling with that a bit too, even though we’re all homebodies to some extent.
In the 1st photo, my dad is shown lifting weights. He’s newly retired and trying different methods to stay fit and healthy despite the ongoing pandemic. He’s set up a sort of makeshift workout station in the middle of our living room since it’s probably safer to do than his usual go-to of running.
The 2nd photo features my younger brother struggling to use his phone with freshly painted black nails. He’s going through a bit of an emo phase at the moment and is constantly looking for new music to listen to.
In the 3rd photo, my mom relaxes and watches youtube videos on her phone and sends texts to her sisters. This photo makes me weirdly proud of her, as there was a time not too long ago where she insisted that she would find it too difficult to learn to use a smart phone.
The 4th image is once again a photo of my younger brother. He’s an essential worker, so he’s gone most of the day. When he gets home after work, he plays some video games to decompress. This view shows him from my point of view as I push his door open and annoy him for as long as I can get away with.
The 5th photo features my sister’s favorite little ritual. Coffee is her favorite thing to drink and she needs to have at least one cup a day. This might or might not have been her second cup!
Pictures 6-8 show a little bit of my mom’s process in our kitchen. She’s ridiculously good at multitasking and so, so quick at everything she does. She is also notorious for not using cutting boards or any surfaces, as she prefers to slice veggies while holding them.
The 9th photo in this set is a brief moment late at night in the dark of our living room. My sister brought out the new Uno Flip game she recently purchased. My siblings and I debated whether we should play one round or give into temptation and inevitably spend hours aggressively competing against each other.
The 10th and final photo in this set tells you that my siblings and I are terrible at making good decisions because I’m sure this was several rounds into the game and also late enough that we had to turn on a couple of lights to be able to see.

I hate the color pink, but on this flower the color pink was absolutely beautiful. The texture of the flower felt fake, but it was real and crisp. I picked it to put the flower in my hair. I was exploring in Carmel, but wishing I was in Hawaii. Unfortunately when I picked the flower, my best friend started having a sneezing attack so I put it in this bush outside of an antique store.
