sousou no frieren is a show that always cures my depression but the graf granat arc is one of those moments that elevates my soul as well

seeing fern and stark fucking decimate their enemy is just. they are battered and bruised and unsure if they are capable. but their determination and ultimately skill carries them through it. starks killing blow for linie?? takes my breath away. ferns nonchalance while fighting lügner? aspirations. this show is one of the best things thats happened to me in the past five years im pretty sure

#ive seen other artists and animators geek out over the visual skill of this show #and yeah. this arc has both the hand wringing and also starks banger fucking coat animation.#that coat animation bit was someones lovechild. thats in it purely as a showoff #its like the bit in arcane s2 when vi is drunk off her ass in a fountain #and we get multiple shots of the stunning fucking bottle selection by her side #that was also someones passiom project #art made for the sake of showing off skill and geeking out about smth you like. my beloved #sousou no frieren #tams no good very bad days continue but at least i have the graf granat arc to pull me through it
