With reference to this post, is anyone aware of any prior examples of an interdisciplinary art jam for writers and illustrators whereby each participating illustrator produces a notional cover illustration in the style of a Silver Age comic book or classic men's magazine – just a completely indecipherable scenario, possibly but not obligatorily involving at least one (1) gorilla, with goofy dialogue and a title in a silly typeface to match, then each "cover" is assigned at random to a different participating writer, and they have to write a story which makes sense of the cover they've been given?

day one of this year's shark week sketch jam - this guy is inspired by the golden hammerhead shark!

for 2023's jam I did a little carved stamp each day; this year, I'm doing (so far pretty dragony) creature designs based around that day's shark. i'm not a specbio or creature design artist by trade, but this sounded like a fun way to play around with just Making Up A Guy and trying out a loose sketch-y way of drawing.
