A shared swan!

Hi everyone! I wanted to share an OC @sleepwalkersqueen & I created together! I’m afraid I don’t have any art of him to go along with this, but I hope you’ll all enjoy him! =D

I'm updating this with a new title and Arashi's last name! <3

Name - Arashi Aikawa (hero name Hurricane).  

Age - 25 (42 in current bnha).  

Likes - Stormy weather/rain, playing guitar, cooking, preening his wings.

Dislikes - Rats, cold weather, going more than a day without a shower.  

Diet - Arashi eats a mostly vegetarian diet with the exception of sea food.  

Appearance - Arashi is on the tall side with a slim, strong build. 

Long feather-like white hair, dark storm grey eyes, and pale peach skin. 

Many small scars mark his hands and arms as a result of his hero work.  

Quirk - Arashi inherited a mute swan-typed mutant quirk from both his parents, resulting in large white wings, webbed fingers & toes, and strong avian instincts. (nest building, a love for water & swimming, and a deep care & protectiveness for his loved ones).

Strong enough to brake bone, the feathers of Arashi’s wings can also harden to block gunfire and even elemental attacks, though this can only last so long. Hidden by soft down feathers, the underside of Arashi’s wings are embedded with sharp bone hooks, causing deep gashes when used for attack.

Resistant to water, Arashi is perfectly suited to flying through storms and other harsh weather. Requiring a running start to get into the air, his wings are not built for agility but allow him to glide for miles without burning much energy.  

Personality - Though his calm nature may make him come off as cold to those first meeting him, Arashi possesses a very caring, nurturing personality. Enjoying bad jokes and flying during storms, Arashi is never one to shy away from excitement, though he usually tries to assess a situation before flying in.

A very firm believer in actions speaking louder than words, Arashi uses body language (especially with his wings) to do quite a bit of talking.

Sadly this habit, along with his naturally calm demeanor & tendency to work alone has given Arashi a reputation as a difficult person to approach. 

As a mute swan, Arashi is neither a predator nor prey, allowing him to remain calm around Shinyo, without any instinctual fear or rivalry getting in the way.

Sexuality - Arashi is gay and a switch in bed, enjoying both topping and bottoming.

As a lover Arashi is mostly gentle & careful with his mate, though can easily become rougher to meet their needs.

Aftercare would include wing preening and cuddling.

As a migratory bird, Arashi's sex drive is highest in the spring.

With his quirk based on a swan, Arashi is naturally very protective of his mate Shinyo and small chick Keigo, loosing his natural calmness when he feels either are threatened.

Background - Born in a very poor city riddled with crime & corruption, Arashi decided from an early age to become a hero to help people like his parents, poor people barely scraping by with enough to care for themselves and their chick, turning to crime to support themselves.

Inheriting his quirk from both his parents, Arashi learned how to swim, fly, preen, and care for a mate from watching them.

Loving his parents dearly, he worked hard to get into the hero school UA, in order to support them in any way he could.

He even picked up a modeling job on the side as a teenager, leaving it behind after becoming a hero.

Hero work - Working mostly as an underground hero, Arashi specializes in taking down criminal trades such as cartels.  

However his resistance to water and ability to fly through storms with ease leads him to commonly take part in search & rescue teams during natural disasters.

Caring little for fame or recognition, Arashi never wears his hero uniform in public, favoring tight fitting civilian clothes such as jeans, tank tops, and tight jackets.

Having almost no merchandise Arashi claims to prefer it that way, as it makes his underground work easier.  

Meeting Shinyo - Running into a known tartarus-escaped thief & killer, all it takes is one look at Shinyo Takami’s injured state and his hurt, frightened chick Keigo for Arashi to bring both to his home.

Intending on gathering information on a smuggling ring from Shinyo,

Arashi tries his best to appear calm and even submissive, speaking gently when using both words & body language (wing-speak) a majority of the time. Keeping his promise not to turn the thief in to the commission, police, or other heroes, Arashi slowly attempts to gain Shinyo’s trust, offering medical supplies he keeps on hand and his cooking while doing so.

As the two grow closer and walls start to break, Arashi comes to realize he’s fallen for Shinyo and feels a strong parental protectiveness for little chick Keigo.

I drew Shinyo! Fanart for Fear of You by @sleepwalkersqueen ! I have been super into the story and I couldn't help myself. Shinyo's character development is AMAZING. So far I had cried like...three times. I kind of took this as an opportunity to get back into the flow of digital art again. Tbh, I want to do more fanart of the story, it's so good ;-;
