Repost from @couchmanbespoke using @RepostRegramApp - #armchairactivist . I find it interesting that so many people buy on impulse. Without a thought for what they are really buying or buying into. If the price is cheap £ the more they will disregard the reason. . I want to give you reason to shop from my brand and from any other truely ethical brands too. . #ethical means to ... ☆ know who made the product; because unlike what many people think clothing and accessories are not made by machine. People use their hands to make them, and they wish to be paid right for that. ☆ know where the components came from; was the fibre grown using pesticides, has the cloth flown miles to be made into that shirt you are wearing, will it harm the planet, animals and humans when I wash it, has it used chemicals during processing and dying? ☆ to be transparent about the supply chain ☆ where is the profit going, does the company help others? . I can tell you that @couchmanbespoke all of our garments are made from organic or remnant cloth. . The people making each garment is paid a living wage. . We drive a zero waste initiative on all areas of production and have used @kapdaa_offcut to get some card wallets and note books made. (These are available to purchase and will be on the website asap, dm to purchase sooner) . We offer classes in tailoring skills to better you. With more to come on a Kickstarter project soon. . Just ask for more information . . . #transparentbusinesspractices #impactdrivenbusiness #purposedrivenbusiness #meetthechangemakerchallenge #menswearstyle #menswearstreetstyle #womensweardaily #lfw #sartorial #menstailor #womenstailor #customisedclothing #outfitbuilder #styleinspirations #luxuryfashionbrand #ethicalclothingbrand #sustainableclothingmovement https://www.instagram.com/gogreengiveback/p/Bw0Y4FOHgdX/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=zcmt8ozyj4sl

I've noticed a lot of the much-dreaded Social Justice Warriors and armchair activists on tumblr are usually college-age folk, typically in their freshman to sophomore years. (give or take, 18-20) Those are the years in which we are at our most impressionable and will merely parrot anything we're told in Philosophy, Sociology, History, or Gender Studies 101 without actually questioning and developing a well constructed argument about what's being taught.  Oops, that may be considered an ageist argument.
