THE HAUNTED ARLINGTON INN - De Soto, Missouri. Built in 1860 as a hotel, the Arlington Event Center has operated under several iterations: an inn, a brothel, a B&B - and as a haunted destination for ghost hunters to investigate. The site of a number of untimely deaths over its century-and-a-half, The Arlington is purportedly haunted by the spirits of guests that refuse to check out. Paranormal investigators, patrons and staff have reported (and in some cases, recorded): ghostly orbs of light, spectral mists, self-moving objects, electric switches turning on/off, disembodied voices, EVP, invisible touches and even demonic scratches.
