I shipped wriothesley x childe because he has been the only Genshin male so far who imo could make him feel safe and this was precisely because I felt I could trust him to not abuse his power over childe

Maybe she likes women because men are supposed to like women vs. she actually likes women. Like which comes first - the masculine identity or liking women?

Idk if I can see Childe as being straight, I feel like he's always bi too, but in my universe often he is effectively straight because I don't think Arlecchino would let him date men

I honestly like to imagine Arlecchino as incredibly possessive. The children are a group to whom she must give freedom for their development - but as a result, they choose to leave, or die. But a lover...a lover isn't someone she needs to raise. She could just keep...safe...forever...

I imagine for Childe she wouldn't necessarily feel that big of an urge, because while I can see her caring for and being attracted to Childe, Childe simply doesn't have the kind of purity that would make one want to "protect" him. Man nearly sunk an entire city ;-; and his reasoning is that he's a pawn in a bigger game that he doesn't care about. I imagine if it were Lumine, Furina, or Clervie, she would be ultimately uber possessive and maybe (probably) even controlling. Out of care sure, but also the want would just increase. In her position, having someone with a pure heart would be a near impossible feat, so i think she'd maybe even put em on a leash ☠️ In other words - I don't even think she'd let her women around other women...if she's dating someone who's not too bloodthirsty to be too pure for this world in her eyes, I imagine the protectiveness would just be too much.

I agree with sex for Childe being associated with win/loss - I think that's kind of a pathological way to view it (and why I think the true expression of his character would be a bi top, although that's not the universe I live in) but that is why he started fucking Arlecchino
