Cynthia Erivos performance as elphaba was so good I actually got myself to do some studies and sketches so big win, fingers crossed I can do more cause I love it and miss it!

Forgive everything looking “off model,” turns out when you stop sketching and drawing all the time it takes a sec, especially when trying to capture likeness, I desperately wanted to draw that one leaked dress in part 2 with elphie doing a toss toss and turns out when you’re not actively practicing poses, anatomy and stylization is difficult🧍‍♀️.

I wish they included this in the show cause it’s just so great. Look at the difference in how Gothel and Arianna treat Rapunzel’s hair. Look how Gothel almost worships it and focuses on it for herself while Arianna uses the hair as a comedy prop to make Rapunzel laugh

you know I’ve been wondering why the phrase “Have mercy, for the spirited away shamans.” in Elden Ring sounds familiar. I remember where that phrase is from now.

Fromsoft also used that to refer to all the children being kidnapped and died from the Senpou monks immortality experiment in Sekiro.

There’s only one child who survived…

That girl later on also ate two Great Serpent hearts so she could become a Divine Cradle… essentially another vessel for the Divine Heir, a vessel for Divinity…

I wonder if that parallel is the reason why the Miko used to refer to Marika’s ppl is written as 巫子 / Sekiro divine child is 御子 (both pronounced as Miko / with 子 literally means children)

It’s like the more i think about it, the more Marika becomes the sum of all the Fromsoft girlies i have been mourning for for the past 4 years.

Was it worth it, Sage?

I did a thing, and I regret nothing.

Arianna and Sage are probably my two favorite characters from Castoff. I drew most of this in Star’s recent signing stream, but waited a little bit to post since I already posted that day lol. I enjoyed getting to experiment with different techniques in this drawing and went WAAAY out of my comfort zone, but it was fun!!

Tbh, I haven’t done a drawing this intense in a long time and it felt good to finish! These are characters from Castoff, a webcomic made by @thestarfishface ! Go check it out, the story is absolutely amazing and the art in the comics is gorgeous!

The shattering glass layout was inspired by many of the shattered glass memory flashbacks in castoff, glass specks pen by theStarFishFace.
