hello! here's the second of three posts i will be making about some particular ideas i have about deltarune. the first part is here

in my last post i talked about why i think the darkners already know that they are toys/cards/programs in the light world, and in this one i'd like to talk about why i think the "truth" of the world that jevil and spamton seem to know about is not about the fact they're objects in the light world, but the fact that they're in a game

sooo. here we go again

2) Jevil and Spamton know that their world is a game

let's first go through our first hint that the world is not as it seems: jevil

jevil himself does not tell us what he knows, just that he knows something that makes him "free", but he does allude to it once. jevil talks a lot about wanting to play a game with you but it's pretty clear this "game" is in reference to his boss battle. but there is once instance where it seems to mean something else too: when you refuse to play his game

BOO HOO HOO, UEE HEE HEE!! HOW CAN YOU REFUSE, WEN YOU ARE ALREADY PLAYING...?

we also get a clearer idea of what jevil seems to know when you talk to seam about him after defeating him:

One day, he met a strange someone... and since then, he began to change.

He started saying bizarre things that didn't completely make sense -

But didn't completely not make sense, either.

Soon, he began to see the world as a game, and everyone as its participants.

the world as a game and everyone as its participants....it may sound like he's just referring to the fact they're cards in a card game but since i have already stated how they already know that, and that it's not a really big reveal, i think he's talking about the game WE'RE playing--deltarune.

and then there's spamton and his talk of..."heaven"

Kris!?!? WAS THAT A [BIG SHOT] JUST NOW!?

ARE YOU WATCHING, [Heaven]!? IT'S TIME FOR SPAMTON'S [Comeback Special]!

referring to his NEO body as something that can "pierce" heaven, directly addressing heaven asking if it's watching him....again it make seem like he's just referring to the light world, but what REALLY seals it for me that he's talking about US and not the light world is how he involves kris, a lightner, in this plan to look into heaven.

THAT'S RIGHT. YOU. I NEED YOU. TO BE BIG. WITH ME. VERY VERY BIG SO BIG WE'LL STAND UP TALL AND SEE PAST THE DARK STAND UP WITH OUR HEADS IN THE CLOUDS AND LOOK INTO H E A V E N

it makes no sense for heaven to be the light world in this context because kris is a lightner. this is undeniably spamton talking about the world we the players live in, asking kris to join him in looking into heaven because he KNOWS kris is being controlled by us.

(the fact that he even KNOWS kris is being controlled by something higher than the light world is again another point to "spamton's heaven is real life")

and....you know what?

if the real world we inhabit is heaven, then we the players are angels.

and you know where else angels come up?
