I reserve the right to set and maintain boundaries with my blog and my writing. As a rule, I block ageless/blank/minor-run blogs. This blog is run by a real adult and so I only want to interact with other actual adults because my content lends itself to being adult-oriented.

Every original female protagonist I write unless otherwise stated is a dark-skinned Black woman. Sometimes I will include art or a model for closest approximation, but for the most part I make this explicitly clear in the narration.

I usually only write OC/Canon ships. That is central to all of my writing. I know a lot of people are weirdly hostile about OCs being shipped with their favorite characters but I promise you it’s not and never will it ever be that serious. If you’re a dick to me about what I choose to write, at best the only attention you’ll get is a block.

That being said let’s just get this out of the way: I write characters who like to fuck. Sex is going to happen in my work so if that gives you the ick well…you’ve been warned.

I do not take requests. Writing is already very taxing for me given my health issues and schedule, and I want to focus on writing things that I personally enjoy, this includes prompts I choose to participate in.

For my roleplayers and those who like to ship one another’s OCs and do collaborative worldbuilding and headcanons: please ask me first before taking things from my personal sandbox. I’m very protective of my little corner and would rather do things like that with those whom I’ve established a close rapport.

Do not ask me about BioWare [Dragon Age and Mass Effect] content. Yes, my work is still available to read. But I no longer have any interest in creating content for that fandom, so don’t ask me about it.

My purpose and goal in my fanfiction is not to be strictly canon-compliant, and my interpretation of canon events and characters may and likely will differ from yours. Canon is not sacrosanct to me. If you find my work disagreeable because of this, feel free to go read something else suited to your tastes!

If you like my work, pleasepleaseplease share it. Liking my posts or giving kudos on AO3 doesn’t do much if you don’t share it for others to read. Comments are highly encouraged and appreciated as well. It’s always good to see feedback on how people interpret my work. It also helps me refine my writing in order to get my stories across more clearly.

Like the same day I get a 911 post looking like a captcha test, where Hen and Chimney have a picture with their wives and then Buck has a picture with Eddie... Which like... Kinda sus in a good way

But then Netflix comes in and have a post about OBX S4 and it was a bunch of shots from the new season. Except on the Netflix account there are 5 pictures while on the OBX official account there are 7. Netflix official account took out the shots of JJ&Kiara and of Cleo&Pope and now I'm like hmmmm what a weird choice? Why cut those two pictures? 7 pictures isn't that bad they could have put all the seven pics.

But the thing is it's Netflix, it's OBX I KNOW there's no hope for Canon JJPope (do they have another shipname pls say yes) but the Buddie brainrot made it seem like it was sign (in my head only but still)

treemina - i usually ship treemina in every universe i write, its probably my favourite tbosas ship solely bc of their dynamic. it helps that i love both treech and lamina individually, too.

coralbaird - modern au and canon divergence-based fics are where i write coralbaird. i truly think if the games weren't a focus point of the story (or, rather escaping/fooling the capitol was the storyline instead) they would have a very different dynamic.

diggy up (creds 2 the amazing @talkshowboyluvr for the shipname!!!) - if ur confused this is tanner x jessup!! ive shipped them for a long time, tho unfortunately i haven't written anything for them due to having other ships w the two i like (jessistrata and twinkhaw). but yeah i hope to write something w them soon.

solarmoss - ive loved solarmoss since i read til death do us part by @zippiedippievippie and don't go yet by @asclexe !! i love their dynamic in those so so much. i also love them in a modern au setting (i include them in my modern au fic which i need to wait to post bc of The Ao3 Acc Situation.)

Anon! First of all, sorry for replying late; we received your ask about a week ago but I didn’t have enough time to properly address it. Second of all, thank you for talking about it and sharing your experience.

It’s just like you said; people really don’t want to get ridiculed or hated, especially younger people, therefore, they are afraid of liking stuff that is even slightly problematic. And for some of them, if they don’t want their so-called friends to suspect them loving problematic stuff, they’ll act even more aggressive than they should to overcompensate. I feel like when it comes to antis who talk about us specifically, the most vocal and persistent ones are those whose friends called them out for following my accounts or liking my drawings. And this is honestly both sad and pathetic at the same time; I cannot imagine how bad of a headspace this might be. I don’t pity them though lol

We always talk about it, but still: this is a game you can’t win because the rules are always changing. The only thing that never changes is that there is no nuance, once the crowd decide that the ship is bad, it’s bad. Starting out with the basics, age gaps and incest are bad, right? Right. But what if the characters aren’t canonically related but could be interpreted as brothers? Then it’s still bad, right? But what if they aren’t at all brotherly, but one of them expressed that they want to do bad things to the other? Sounds bad, right? And thus, the only type of dynamic that exists is a romanticised version of a perfect gay couple: they are equal in every way, they love each other, they are SUCH DORKS together who fit perfectly to any “redraw this as your ship” meme that’s the hottest thing these days, they don’t have arguments, they don’t have misunderstanding and rough moments. Their personalities, everything that made their relationship unique or interesting completely disappears and smoothes out, and after that it’s not even a ship, it’s just a nice blend that is perfect for consumption because it doesn’t irritate your teeth, your throat, or your stomach. It’s tasteless, it’s boring, it’s nothing, and it’s not about the characters, it’s about deciding which two characters are unproblematic enough to be transformed into blorbos, and if they have some problematic elements in-canon, it’s okay, we’ll just erase those because being unproblematic doesn’t really matter. What matters is to act in a way that doesn’t go against what the rest of them are doing, because otherwise you’re making people uncomfortable, and if they are uncomfortable with you, they feel morally correct for attacking you.

It’s never about characters. It’s always about control, about cliques, about bullying and making everyone afraid to have an actual opinion. It’s about instilling in people’s mind that attacking strangers on the internet makes you a cool person because you are simultaneously a rebel for being so ballsy and brave, and a saint for having moral standards so high that you can’t stomach bad things even if they are fictional.

Sometimes people just have different ships and that’s okay. Sometimes people don’t have any ships and don’t understand the shipping culture, and that’s okay. What’s not okay is to feel entitled to this control over the way others consume media and interact with it.

Because it makes the fandom experience boring at best and unbearable at worst.

Sorry, I digress lol What I wanted to say is that you are right, it messes with people’s brains. And it is much more unhealthy than fantasising about the things that are 100% fictional (which is, by the way, a huge part of their appeal).

guide to find the Spicy shiguang fanart

i need y'all to know this is a huge character development moment for me (a couple years back i would be so scandalized to be even talking about this lmao)

anywho. couplea people were talking about how there's not a lot of uhh...raunchier shiguang fanart out there. as a consumer of All The Shiguang Content I Can Get My Grubby Little Hands On, I am here to inform you that uh. yeah it sure is out there. there's not like a TON of it, but that's because the fandom overall is small. it's largely in the Chinese, Japanese, and Korean side of things-- haven't seen a lot of western fans making it actually. It's largely on Twitter, but even then, you're not gonna find anything explicit over there, people tend to link the explicit stuff on their twitter to another website. something like poppiku? I forget what it's called.

Without further ado...

option 1: tag name! on twitter you can search for the tag name specifically and comb through art that way. your options are shiguang (though this is largely limited to just the English-speaking side of things, I feel), 光时 (think this is the Chinese shipname), 程光 (uuuh I think this is the Japanese side? not 100% actually lol), ヒカトキ, and トキヒカ. Those last two are from the Japanese side of things, and fair warning, it seems that in Japanese fandom, the order of the names actually denotes the top/bottom dynamic (so there's Hikatoki and Tokihika; in the Hikatoki, Hikaru is top (Lu Guang) and in TokiHika Toki is top (Cheng Xiaoshi). In western fandom we don't seem to put as much of an emphasis on this, though I'm no expert. It's not a hard-and-fast rule though I feel like, I've definitely seen art under both tags where it doesn't seem so important, and at least one that was tagged with one of those shipnames but was explicit about them switching, iirc. Either way, using ANY of these tags up there you're not going to find any explicit art-- if you DO, it'll be a censored preview, and then through the tweet there'll be a link to another website. A lot of times they have you enter a "password" which is just you typing "yes" in the field (because it wants to know if you're over 18). Though they can change up the password thing-- I had one ask the combined weights/heights (I forget) of LG and CXS lol.

option 2: find a fanartist you like on twitter and just scroll through their "media" page (so it's only showing you pictures they've posted. This does include things besides just fanart, and ofc it can include art from other fandoms, but). I've been doing this a lot lately. Just scrolling through my recents, here's some fanartists I like:

EDIT: credit to @canonicallyautistic for this bit of advice: for the Japanese on-screen text, you could use an optical text recognition plugin so you can machine translate doujin quickly (they use Capture2Text for Japanese, but don't know which good ones are out there for Chinese). Thank you!

How to Tumblr

(there are probably endless posts like this, but I'm too lazy to look them up)

I want to start this post by saying this is not to shame/call out anyone and that it's for educational purposes only. In this case @key2525 commented on one of my posts-- letting me know they are new to the world of social media and reblogging. And I figured a lot of twitter (X) refugees and the like ended up here as well. And maybe some other people could use the refresher on how to participate in fandom aka reblogging creators stuff.

The best way to start and prevent other people from assuming you're a bot (yeah, we got a huge issue on this website with those) is by changing your banner and profile picture. Now, you do NOT have to (and I highly advise you don't) use a real photo of yourself. Never. Just don't. It's the internet and you're entitled to privacy. You can use a screenshot or photo of your favorite character or scene or a random picture off the internet that is free to use. If you wanna use license free pictures that won't get you into trouble, you might wanna look at pages like pexels, pixabay or vecteezy to find something that fits you and your blog. You can search up any type of theme/topic on those pages and find nice pictures to use.

If you want to use a gif from someone who made said gif on tumblr, then please ask permission first, wait for their answer and credit them in your blog bio once given permission. And I mean actual credit and not "credit to the owner" kinda sentences one might find under some peoples instagram posts, I mean (i.e.) "gif in banner/pfp made by @/1liv". (The / is so the user isn't drawn to this post right now, I don't wanna bother them, but they are the gifmaker of the one shown in the posts screenshots underneath)

So, if you have made your blog look a little more like a person by adding those two and perhaps a bio stating your age (some people who post mature or explicit content block you if you have no age listed or if you're underage) and/or preferred pronouns. Or add a title. (tumblr also gives you the option to switch off the title from being visible btw).

The red arrow points to the part that would be seen by people who look at your blog. All the posts that are not posted privately will show up on your followers dashboard. It also helps making you look like a person and not a bot. The green arrow is all the things you like. That ones not shown as the first page to anyone and you can turn it private. Liking something is more like collecting something into a little box for no one else but you to see. Reblogging is where it's at.

Now comes the part that is important for fandom.

Red arrow is reblog 🔁, which means it will end up visible on your blog (won't be empty anymore). Green arrow is likes ❤️. And the blue one is pointed at the comments 💬. Easy so far. All the hashtags like #sweet home 2 in the picture above can be added when you reblog something. It often helps when you add the name of a movie or show that you reblog in the tags, in case you ever want to look up something on your own blog. It'll pop right up under the hashtag you used. This also works for when you want to search someone else's blog for a specific show or movie. You just tap on the magnifying glass 🔍 next to "posts" on anyones blog.

Now, when you click on the reblog button this is what you would see:

"#add tags" - this is where you put the show or movie name, the actors name or a shipname. You can also ramble to the creator what you liked about whatever it is you are reblogging. Or on other types of posts add your opinion.

The black arrow on the right bottom corner points to more options:

All pretty self-explanatory. What I personally like is that if you come across a lot of posts you want to reblog but are afraid you might spam the whole dash of your followers, you can tap on "Schedule" at the bottom:

And it'll give you options when to reblog a post. You can pick the date and the time and fan out the posts you want to reblog. That way you won't lose the posts you found and you won't reblog in bulk at the same moment. It's honestly really useful. I tend to forget stuff and then not find it again, so I either schedule the posts or put them in my drafts to reblog later.

You might think "what followers, I have no followers yet" Well, if you continue to have a blank blog, no one will even consider following you since there is nothing you ever reblog. Would you voluntarily want to stare at a shut off tv for hours? I don't think so.

Tumblr isn't like twitter (X) or instagram where a lot of people have this "follow for follow" mentality. People follow the blogs that look interesting and interaction between the posts you reblogged as well as those you might make in the future will grow.

Think about it this way: If everyone stopped reblogging, users dashboards will stay empty except for the wacky tumblr ads and blazed posts. There is no algorithm on tumblr, you see what you want to see by following the people who post and reblog what you like. By continuing that tradition you'll inspire other people to do the same and keep this website as well as fandoms alive. And that's honestly kinda cool, if you think about it, right?

rajbow (raj x bowie): o b v!! can't have one of these asks without these two, tbvh, I adore them and from what I've heard abt them, I love how Fresh handled them--the fact that the only canon gay ship is also on the list of the healthiest ships is wild and I freaking love it!! they're so adorable together too--and let me say I noticed the connection between Bowie getting crowns and Raj's name meaning 'king' immediately and it made me love them more! I can't wait to see more of them next season, and I hope Fresh doesn't fuck around with them like they've done with other ships 🤞

emwayne (emma x wayne): while I understand where the zemma shippers are coming from, I'm gonna have to say that I can see them as a pairing, but mostly I see zee and emma as friends than lovers. moving onto wayne and emma, I've seen a couple of rlly cute fanart abt them that roped me into rooting for them; also, I saw this tumblr post that talked abt wayne helping emma see that her and chase aren't right for each other bc of the break between bowie and emma's friendship; I thought it'd be cute that emma realizes what an actual relationship is supposed to be like based on the way wayne treats her and the two grow closer as he helps her come into herself more. overall, really cute pairing!!

nichaxel (nichelle x axel): MY LESBIAN BABES!!! ever since I saw that one scene where they interacted, I was HOOKED, I'm SO SO on board with these two getting together, ugh, I can just imagine how badass and amazing they'd be!! axel teaching nichelle to fight so she can make her comeback next season??? nichelle helping axel tune more into her emotions and her heart??? sign me tf up!! they'd be unstoppable, legit, I want this so bad! seriously, I hope Fresh does smth with them next season and if they don't get them together, I hope they at least let them be friends, goddammit!

damien x priya (idk their shipname 😭): from the screenshots I've seen of the two, I think they're cute together!! wonder if next season will involve them more 🤔 it's funny too bc it's the guy who doesn't have a clue abt total drama with the girl who knows everything abt it; like imagine priya getting damien to watch the prev seasons and damien returning next season like a fricking icon with his newfound knowledge. honestly I'm on the fence abt these two; I like them as a pairing, but also I think they're great as good friends too! (also I've seen a lot of ppl talking abt millie x priya; I personally don't have an opinion abt that, I haven't gotten that far to have one. So, to me, they're just good friends!) (on that note, for the scary girl x damien shippers, I personally see them as friends, I just can't see scary girl with anyone sorry 😅)

chazee (chase x zee): okay, hear me out on this one. before the season came out, when all I knew abt everyone were those random pics of episodes, I remember wishing chase to be gay (or bi or smth that isn't straight or he realizes he's not straight while in the show) bc it'd break that stereotype which I thought would be cool--and I shipped him with zee like offhandedly, nothing extreme, just lowkey. like I thought their shipname was cute (chazee?? hello?? literally adorable?? and I've found out that ppl are calling them cheese now too and fdhdjf that just makes it cuter). then I started watching the season and got to know chase's whole personality, I was like 'ehhhh' and this pairing just...got shunted to the far corners of my mind. THEN I came across this freaking adorable fic of these two (it's this one!) that somehow converted me back to shipping these two??? then I started thinking up random scenarios involving the two and yeah imma say I adore these two. idk I feel like zee would be good for chase, like their way of viewing the world would be pretty helpful for someone like chase?? (plus the whole sexuality crisis can still exist on chase's end bc imo zee is the kinda person to already be aware of a lot of things abt him (their gender, their sexuality, etc) but not put much emphasis on it, y'feel?), and maybe chase's way of expressing himself would balance out zee's??? who knows?? idk I feel like this ship has a lot of potential and it's worth exploring-

mkulia (mk x julia): they'd be the queens of meet-uglies lmaoo but no rlly, they'd be rlly great together, I feel! they give off alenoah vibes too, which I think is pretty neat! idk much abt them rn bc I'm only a fourth in the season, but I will def let you know my thoughts once I do!

i usually don't like to talk about certain characters or ships i don't like in an overly negative way because i honestly see no point in wasting my energy on hating a certain ship when i can spend that time loving my otp instead. however, i'm having a bit of a rough time with filtering on tumblr and i really need to vent... so, i guess if you're a sebac*el enjoyer... don't read?

i'm so insanely tired of going into sebastian's tag on tumblr and be so overwhelmed by all the sebac*el fanart. and what sucks even more is when i see a piece of art of the two of them that i perceive as non-shippy and simply just.... you know, them, in the same manner yana would maybe draw them (which many people would call 'suggestive', yet what i would refer to as just sebastian being possessive over his dinner. i know, i know, this topic is a debate in and of itself but it's not what i'm here for today).

but that is exactly it. that's what pops into my mind whenever i see that type of art of them; ociel being on display, more or less, and sebastian patiently waiting for his dinner to be ready. i don't know if i'm making a lot of sense, but i HOPE people get what i mean; an artpiece that i don't perceive as shippy, but shippers do (i know not all sebac*el shippers are the same, so don't throw that at me - i'm talking about the general degeneracy some seba*el shippers does have).

i see artpieces like that, thinking they look super freaking cool and pretty and i want to reblog them - until i read the tags and they're tagged with their shipname. suddenly i'm so turned off from reblogging it because i don't ship it so i don't want those kinds of artpieces on my blog. maybe the artpiece isn't even meant to be shippy, but the op still tags it as that to reach a wider audience. but how should i know? i don't want to reblog something really pretty that i didn't think of shippy at all, only for it to be intended that way by the op.

now, i'm well aware that art is INCREDIBLY subjective. if i see an artpiece like that and i don't think it's shippy, that should be well but enough for me to reblog it and call it a day. i don't care what other people think of me either if they saw that on my blog and saw the tags on the op post and somehow thinking that i ship it or whatever. but what i do care about is my own immersion. if i look at an artpiece that i do not perceive as shippy, but am told via the tags that it actually is, then my immersion is broken.

people can post whatever they want, i don't care. i try to blacklist certain tags to the best of my ability as it is, but more often than not certain posts slips through the cracks anyways, and i just feel very disappointed.

you can ship whatever you want, and as long as i don't have to see it (hence my tag blacklists) if it happens to be a ship i strongly dislike, i really don't care what you ship. i am also in no single way trying to imply that great artists are "wasting their skills drawing something i dislike" - absolutely no fucking way. but it still doesn't change the fact that i get this sense of disappointment every time i see a really pretty artpiece of the two of them that i want to reblog, only to find out that it's supposed to be shippy.

this isn't even anybody's fault, except tumblr's website because you just can't properly filter out things you don't want to see. it's not the artists fault this website is shit, and it's not even my fault for feeling the disappointment that i do (even if it might make me come across as a little bit entilted just because i'm expressing my own disappointment with the amount of awesome fanart i see that turns out to be something i strongly dislike; it's just that it happens so much and so often that everything piles up within me after a while).

all i want is to be able to browse tags without having posts slip through the crack - whether they're something as trivial as fanart pieces, or even something really triggering type of content.

Currently reading: disorder under heaven: collective violence in the ming dynasty and kaleidoscope of death as well. disorder under heaven i picked up thinking it was about violence AGAINST the collective, not BY the collective, so while it's still interesting, it isn't giving me the information i want regarding state punishment of the citizenry. kod i am reading very, very slowly because i want to finish it so i can write all the fic but i keep only reading it late at night and then i fall asleep like one or two chapters in. oh, wait, i just checked my libby app—i'm also reading she who became the sun which i've wanted to read for a while and hadn't realised was set during the yuan dynasty era? which makes me extra excited about it.

Got back into UnderTale and the AU community, sooo me and a friend in a discord made a ship and a ship child! (I feel like making one is a right of passage in this fandom lol)

Meet Mariner1!

The ship child of OuterSwap!Sans (who was dubbed Star-Dust as a nickname) and Error!Sans. The shipname is SwapNova! Swap comes from Star-Dust, and as supernovas are the destruction of stars, Nova comes from Error!

Mari was ofc named after a space craft fail! Another reason I chose it is because of the fact that it was a typo that caused the failure, and Mari couldve been named Typo instead.

Notes about Mariner1:

- He was formed from a time Error and Star-Dust met, in which they fought immediately within sight of each other out of panic. Before Error realized this was a combination of two AU's he likes and left.

- He has chronic pain, as Errors glitches canonically cause him pain, they cause Mariner pain too. His pain doesnt get in the way of his life often, but that is only because he got used to it with time. When he was a small child, it was extremely bad and often had him at home in bed. Presently, its dull, but flares up randomly and without cause some days. On bad days he doesn't really move from his bed, often lying there and only getting up to alarms for food times, or to use the bathroom. Pain relieving medication doesn't really work on him.

-He has some sight problems due to the glitches and the fact that his right socket is never fully open like his left is. Usually he solves this by just closing his right eye, but he cannot do that all of the time. And he doesn't like the idea of glasses.

- Mariner1 is autistic. This affects a lot about his life and relationships with people.

-His autism finds most any touch rather weird and uncomfortable feeling, while not painful, he wont actively seek it, or look for it. Which makes others think of him as rather withdrawn. (This also applies to his own touch to himself, he does not like when his phalanges all touch eachother if he can help it. Theres always a minescule amount of space between them.)

- He doesn't speak aloud often. Only sometimes randomly or when he thinks its necessary. He is rather quiet, until he isn't. Usually when away from people he searches for stars to mess around with. Mostly finding old ones to blow up. That is when he gets loud.

-this doesn't mean that never opens his mouth except for rarely speaking and eating though. Quite the opposite in fact. As his strings come from his mouth, hes often seen with his mouth hung open, and maybe a phalange or two inside of it. He does this absentmindedly, this causes a slight drooling problem. But can be fixed by giving him something to do with his hands, and by giving him chewlery. He likes to eat the rubber though.

-His special interests arent considered normal to most people as well, those interests being jesters, bells, lost space craft and humans, and overall any weird disturbing things related to space, as well as anything to do with fires and explosions. Generally, people find him "disturbing" and "freaky".

this username is still from the time this was exclusively a maze runner blog! It's a very obvious play on the shipname newtmas for the two characters newt and thomas who are two this day a ship that I adore so much. I'm so glad I got a url that is so close to the shipname without any major letter substitution etc. so I don't think I'll ever change it.

For my follower count, currently it's 2374 exactly, which may seem like a lot but I think in the grand scheme of things it's not that much. Especially bc only 400 to max 500 of those followers are from recent times and interested in Lockwood & Co, the majority is back from maze runner times (so probably not really active anymore/not interested in my current content). I'm happy about everyone ofc but I don't think that I'm necessarily a very 'big' blog
