to celebrate the ides of march, i made little paper daggers for me and my friends

none of them knew why they were getting daggers tho

today we had a debate scheduled in religion ed, and for some reason the teacher thought the daggers were for the debate?? he went “oh if the diplomacy doesn’t work you’re resorting to violence. i see” and i was like NO ITS FOR JULIUS CAESAR

he thought i was kidding and later he asked me privately why 5 different people were in possession of paper daggers and if it was actually for the debate. he was just genuinely curious lol

so i was like “no, its because of the ides of march. today is march 15. the day of the assassination of julius caesar.” and he went “really?” and my friend looked at him understandingly and said “i didnt know either” and he was like “geek things” and she was like “yeah” and i was laughing internally bc i got the school pastor to say the ides of march are geek
