Thoughts on AEW: All In 2024
Just my thoughts on the show, as well as the Zero Hour preceding it. Obviously, there will be spoilers.
ZERO HOUR
16-Man Tag Match: Tommy Billington, Kip Sabian, Rocky Romero, Kyle Fletcher, Lio Rush, Action Andretti, and Top Flight (Darius Martin and Dante Martin) vs Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, Anthony Ogogo, Ariya Daivari, Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen), and The Dark Order (John Silver and Alex Reynolds)
I'll be completely honest, I forgot this match even happened.
Tony seems to like to do these random-ass, giant, multi-man matches during the pre-shows.
I assume this is probably just so these guys could get a PPV pay day or something.
Absolutely one of the matches on the show.
Mixed Tag Match: Willow Nightingale and Tomohiro Ishii vs Kris Statlander and Stokley Hathaway
I love Willow. She's one of my favorites.
I'm still not over Statlander betraying Willow.
I have been loving Ishii just hanging around AEW having random matches
LMAO Stokely slammed Ishii.
Legitimately fun match. Willow and Ishii work well together, despite Ishii being just some kind of man-shaped refrigerator with no neck
10-Man Tag Match: The Von Erichs (Marshall Von Erich and Ross Von Erich), Sammy Guevara, Katsuyori Shibata, and Dustin Rhodes vs Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) and Cage of Agony (Bishop Kaun, Brian Cage, and Toa Liona)
lmao Sammy and Brian Cage both have Wolverine-themed gear. This feels like those scenes in shows where two girls show up to the same party wearing the same dress.
I am always a fan of Shibata wrestling on my television or other device.
Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona are so fucking cool.
I love that Dustin is walking around with two belts. And that he's still able to go as good as he does.
This was a fun match.
Interlude
Saraya and Harley Cameron are genuinely entertaining as heels. Nobody can harass the cameraman quite like Saraya.
I do not want to keep hearing Ronnie Radke. Please stop.
It's cool that they've brought Saraya's whole family back this year.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT JAMIE HAYTER IS BACK. LET'S FUCKING GO DUDE.
HELL YEAH. FUCK YEAH.
I missed Jamie a bit.
ALL IN
Four-Way Ladder Match, AEW Trios Championship: The Patriarchy (c) (Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, Killswitch) vs Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) vs House of Black (Malakai Black, Brodie King, Buddy Matthews) vs PAC and Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta
Presumably PAC/Claudio/Wheeler was actually going to be Death Triangle originally. But with Penta and Fenix on their way out, they probably had to change that.
They actually did everyone's entrance during Zero Hour, which I thought was really cool.
This match was absolutely ridiculous.
Christian Cage ran to the back, like, immediately lmao
And then showed back up to try to climb a ladder.
HoB continues to be very, very cool and very scary.
Juice Robinson is still my favorite wrestling goblin.
KILLSWITCH HELD CHRISTIAN BACK FROM GETTING THE BELTS??
PAC, Claudio, and Yuta?? The PACPool Combat Club?? They're the winners?
I had fun. Everyone in this is great and genuinely entertaining.
AEW Women's Championship: "Timeless" Toni Storm (c) vs "The Glamour" Mariah May
This is still one of the messiest break-ups I've ever seen in wrestling.
Genuinely great match.
Mariah's sadistic bisexual gimmick is fantastic.
I assumed there'd be blood, because there was white clothing. I'm glad my assumption was validated. This match benefited greatly from bleeding. It added a lot to the, well, blood feud.
Toni not only lost the belt, but she lost to her own finishing move. The sheer disrespect done by Mariah was a thing of beauty.
I can't wait to see Mariah's reign.
I can't wait to see what Toni does next.
FTW Championship: "The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho (c) vs Hook
The Learning Tree is such a goofy gimmick.
If I wasn't just tired of Jericho, I'd probably enjoy this more.
Why is Hook wearing kinesio tape over his eye? Does he not know about eye patches?
I'm genuinely so glad that they both managed to avoid hitting any of those cricket balls when doing suplexes, etc.
HOLY SHIT TAZ PUT THE TAZMISSION ON BRYAN KEITH.
HOOK GOT THE BELT BACK.
I love seeing Taz trying to hold back being a Proud Dad during Hook's matches.
Three-Way Tag Team Match, AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Young Bucks (c) (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) vs FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) vs The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens)
I don't know who I want to win, but it's none of these teams.
Max being an obnoxious edgelord on the internet and in his raps has really soured me on The Acclaimed, which sucks, because they're both good.
This was a genuinely fun match.
As much as I'm kind of tired of FTR vs Bucks, and The Acclaimed, all six of these dudes are still really good and kept me invested in the match.
Not really surprised that the Bucks won.
Oh shit, Grizzled Young Veterans?? I've heard great things about them. I wonder if they're going to be the ones to take the belts off of the Bucks.
Casino Gauntlet Battle Royale:
Started off with Orange Cassidy vs Okada.
Okada's comedic shithole heel role has been fantastic and was put to great use here
OH SHIT WHAT THE FUCK NIGEL MCGUINESS IS IN THIS???
Nigel clearly is returning to action so he can personally retire Danielson himself
OH SHIT IT'S HANGMAD. AND JARRETT.
AND WHAT THE FUCK ITS RICOCHET. I knew he was signed, but it's still awesome to see him.
lmao Christian limping to the ring.
Killswitch is back to being Luchasaurus??
THAT FUCKING DINOSAUR JUST GAVE CHRISTIAN THE WIN LMFAO. What the hell is going on here. Where are they even going with this.
I still enjoyed it. I like the random times, and that it can effectively end at any time.
AEW International AMERICAN Championship: MJF (c) vs Will Ospreay
Find someone who loves you as much Will loves Assassin's Creed.
Max's USA gimmick has been the single most obnoxious thing in AEW for a bit, but I love it.
Ospreay is so fucking good, dude. MJF is so fucking good. These dudes are so good, dude.
OH SHIT DANIEL GARCIA IS BACK. Fuck yeah! I love Danny, and he's looking all serious.
WILL OSPREAY WINS BRUV.
AND THE CHAMPIONSHIP IS BACK TO THE INTERNATIONAL TITLE BRUV
Solid as hell match, Bruv/10.
AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs Dr. Britt Baker, DMD.
This match is a death spot, Christ.
Considering she had some serious back problems, and a mini-stroke, and has been out of action for 10 months, I'm genuinely glad to see Baker back.
Mercedes is such an obnoxious heel, I love it.
C O R G I S
Both Britt and Mercedes with the Eddie callbacks
Britt looking right into the camera to smile with Kamille gets ejected was beautiful stuff.
I am begging Mercedes to get a better finisher.
I don't know if it was ring rust, or a lack of real chemistry with the two, but this was not the best match.
I enjoyed it, but it was still definitely one of the matches of all time.
As I'm writing this some time after the event, I also want to say that I am so fucking sick of the discourse about this match being either "Mercedes is the worst wrestler ever' or "Britt is the worst wrestler ever'. This shit has nuance for fuck's sake.
Coffin Match, AEW TNT Championship: Jack Perry (c) vs Darby Allin
Jack's custom belt looks so cool. I can't believe the dude, like, forged that shit himself.
Darby fucking glued thumbtacks to his goddamn face.
Nobody dies like Darby.
This shit is brutal.
Jack has a fucking bag of glass lmao
THE "CRY ME A RIVER" CHANTS LMAOOO
Turns out the way to beat Darby in a coffin match is to bind him, put him in a body bag, and put the bag in the coffin.
The Bucks (with a freshly-shaved Nicholas) show up with gasoline to burn Darby and the casket.
IT'S STIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING
I've said it before, find someone who loves you as much as Tony Schiavone loves Sting
Title vs Career, AEW World Championship: Swerve Strickland (c) vs Bryan Danielson
Of course you give Danielson this fantastic video package about his career.
Of course you give Danielson "The Final Countdown" for his entrance.
Swerve Strickland continues to be the coolest motherfucker alive in pro wrestling today.
Swerve is working this match like he's actually trying to kill Danielson. It's beautiful.
Beating Danielson up in front of his children is monstrous. I love it.
Swerve took a busaiku knee and brushed his fucking shoulder off.
I love how Bryan does an Injury spot in every fucking match, and I know it's A Thing, but every goddamn time there's part of me that's like "Oh shit" because he's that fucking convincing.
IT'S HANGMAD AGAIN.
Oh shit, Bryan is getting the comeback.
Bryan absorbing kicks while fucking staring at his family and saying "I love you" was fucking glorious.
SWERVE TAPPED. BRYAN IS THE FUCKING AEW CHAMPION.
If this had been his retirement match, it would have been an absolutely perfect send-off for the man. Dude got the absolute shit kicked out of him.
I didn't even really want Danielson to win, but I was still, like, rooting for him toward the end there.
Like seriously, Bryan Danielson is one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. The dude is amazing.
I am still genuinely surprised that Tony somehow talked Danielson into winning the belt, though.

There's a confrontation I'd like to see in Arcane season 2 that would be incredibly dramatic to me AND that I'd be the most apprehensive about.
I think Ep 7 established a sort of "safe" combination of characters, that being Vi, Caitlyn, Ekko (and by extension the rest of the Firelights and Heimerdinger, but this isn't about him because he only cropped up later). They have practically the same goal and similar values, Caitlyn and Ekko especially are portrayed as the most morally upstanding and sympathetic characters of the show. The alliance they formed in Ep 7, while brief, was only broken up spatially, not ideologically. If Ekko gets a bigger role in s2 than he had in s1, it would feel like a sort of gang-up: As soon as the two teams wind up in the same location looking for Jinx, it's practically a simple confrontation between everyone and her. This could be complicated further by Vi and Cait disagreeing on how to handle Jinx going forward, but I think they'd be able to put aside their differences long enough to at least stop her (they've all done it before).
But I think to really ramp up the drama, they'd have to break that up.
There's, in my mind, two different ways to do this:
Avoidance: They simply won't put these three in the same room again. Both parties will have enough other stuff going on that they logistically cannot cooperate further. If they encounter Jinx, they'll do so seperately. For example, Ekko could get more involved in Heimerdinger's side of the plot (vs Singed, Viktors and Jayce's messy divorce), while Cait and Vi stay with the Jinx plot and whatever mess the Council will be in after that blow up of a S1 finale. Jayce and JInx are the biggest connecting pieces here, but the plot could very well be timed in such a way that Cait&Vi have interactions with Jayce while Jinx deals with Ekko and vice versa. There's also a whole Noxian war subplot brewing and whatever will happen with Vander/Warwick (although against my better wishes I doubt Ekko will be involved in either of those).
The ideological break up: And that's the one that hurts me the most, because the most (initially) obvious way to do this is to have Vi become an Enforcer and pit her against Ekko this way. I don't hope this happens, because I cannot see Arcane Vi as an Enforcer at all, and ironically Arcane Ekko is a lot more willing to work with the Enforcers than his LoL counterpart anyway. Of course further plot shenanigans could occur that would pit Vi and Ekko against each other - again, they could disagree on treatment of Jinx, or Warwick, or treatment of the undercity going forward, or maybe even on a more fundamental level (Ekko's commitment to non-lethal diffusion tactics and vandalism vs Vi's more violent tendencies). They could also have Caitlyn hardline more towards lethal violence against the Undercity due to the council attack, although I highly doubt this will happen (I'd rather see Caitlyn fight Jayce over this very conflict instead of betraying all her morals for vengeance, and I genuinely think the Arcane writers will do better than that anyway). Orr there is a yet unexplored third option that pits these three against each other.
Either way. Personally. I'd love to see Ekko and Vi seriously fight, because it would be a great dramatic escalation, they'd lose their only "other" undercity ally, and I'd love to explore their differences more while ramping up the angst to their continued isolation. But I am also apprehensive, because they'd need a really good reason to make these two fight each other while they have so many other issues to focus and join forces on.
And while we're talking about fights I'd love to see, we haven't had enough Piltover-folks beating the shit out of each other yet. Give me a fight between Jayce and Cait. Heimerdinger and Jayce. Mel and Jayce. I know we haven't seen 2/3s of these characters involved in a fight yet, but especially the Mel&Jayce&Vikor trio needs to have the messiest, most dramatic break ups possible, and if Mel doesn't get to at least slap someone, what is even the point.

I Need You To Need Me
A/N: This is a companion piece to my work from a few days ago Oh, My Life Is Changing Everyday that you can read here. You can also read this fic on my AO3 here. Enjoy!
Beth was getting worried. She thought she was being so ridiculously obvious with her feelings for Rick, but the more time she spent with him, the more it seemed that Rick did not feel the same way. He had shown no interest whatsoever, and her heart was breaking.
Henry poked Beth’s shoulder and broke her out of her trance.
“Earth to Beth,” Beth jumped slightly before turning to look him in the eye.
“What’s up?” She responded, reaching across his lap to grab a piece of popcorn and then popped it in her mouth. Henry swatted her away as he responded.
“You were daydreaming during the best part!” Henry whacked her bicep with the back of his hand. Beth put her hands up in surrender.
“Sorry…” Henry scoffed at her lazy apology.
“Don’t you dare pretend to be sorry. One, I know you aren’t, and two,” Henry smirked, “You were thinking about Rick. So you don’t really need to apologize to me? But you should apologize to Christopher Lloyd.” Beth rolled her eyes before training her eyes on the television.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Lloyd, can you ever forgive me?” Beth pleaded with the screen. Henry nodded in approval, and the two fell into a short comfortable silence. Until Beth remembered what Henry had said about Rick.
“It’s so not fair that you can read minds.” Beth grumbled as she side-eyed Henry as he smirked and gently leaned over her until he was lying on top of her.
“I didn’t,” Beth could not handle this right now, so she sat up and pushed Henry up off of her.
“Shut up, I’m trying to watch the movie!”
“Why are you telling me to shut up! You’re the one that started talking first!”
“SHHHHH!” Beth put a finger up to cover her mouth and then moved it to Henry’s, making him laugh and the pair began silently watching the movie again.
The next day, Beth was at the grocery store with Yolanda, trying to decide what to make Courtney for her birthday cake.
“What’s her favorite kind of frosting, again?” Beth asked, looking up at Yolanda.
“Chocolate cream cheese,” she responded, immediately. Beth smirked as she grabbed the powdered sugar and baking chocolate off the shelf.
“And her favorite cake flavor?”
“Funfetti.” Beth covered her mouth to hide the giggle, but she couldn’t hide it from Yolanda.
“What?”
“You’re just very obviously in love with her.”
“Just because I know her favorite cake and frosting doesn’t mean I’m in love with her.” Beth glanced at her skeptically, as she reached for the rainbow sprinkles. Yolanda sighed.
“Okay, fine, but I’m not the only love sick fool here.” Beth looked up, confusion in her eyes. Yolanda rolled her eyes.
“Don’t even pretend that you aren’t completely in love with Rick.” Beth felt the heat rise in her cheeks before she set her jaw and stood up straight.
“Who said that I wasn’t?” Yolanda looked at her with wide eyes.
“Excuse me?” Beth grinned.
“I never said I wasn’t in love with him,” she left her words hanging in the air as she turned and walked down the aisle, Yolanda stared for a moment, shocked, before hurrying after her friend.
“You’re willing to admit it so quickly, though?” Yolanda questioned as she caught up with Beth, who shrugged.
“It’s the way I feel, so what’s the point of denying it?” Beth spoke casually as she scanned the cooler for the cream cheese.
“But it doesn’t scare you?”
“Oh, I’m terrified, constantly,” Beth grabbed a few packets of cream cheese, “And I don’t really plan on telling him, but when he’s not around, why deny it? I trust you not to tell him.” Beth smiles at Yolanda, who smiles back.
“So I promise not to tell Courtney if you promise not to tell Rick.” Beth held her hand out to shake, and Yolanda returned it, beaming.
“So I guess we get to vent about being obvious and them being stupid,” Yolanda joked as the pair began the trek to the checkout line. Beth laughed before pushing Yolanda gently with her basket.
The next day, Beth, with Yolanda and Henry’s help, was making the cake and some treats for the party. She shook her head as Yolanda ‘accidentally’ spilt some of the melted chocolate on Henry. He retaliated by dropping an egg on the top of her head. They began to laugh as they both grabbed a handful of powdered sugar nodded at each other, and threw it at Beth. She squawked as it hit her face before she opened her eyes and launched a handful of sprinkles in their direction. The food fight continued to escalate until the trio heard the door open. They stood frozen as Rick walked into the kitchen.
His eyes surveyed the mess they had made before he let his eyes fall on Beth, who was the messiest of all.
“What the hell happened here?”
Beth shrugged her shoulders helplessly before Henry and Yolanda burst into a fit of laughter, they were soon followed by Beth. Rick could not be more confused, and Beth didn’t think much of it, but for a moment it looks like he was staring at her sadly. She calms down first and looks at the other two, hitting them both on the back of the head.
“We need to get cleaned up and you two need to finish making the frosting!” She scolded them and went over to the sink, grabbed a rag and began wiping her face off, before tossing one to Henry and Yolanda.
“Yolanda started a food fight.” Beth finally explained, smiling shyly at Rick. He returned the smile slowly.
“Henry started it! He cracked an egg on my head!” Yolanda broke the calm silence by whipping her towel towards Henry.
“Yeah, but you “accidentally” spilt that chocolate all over me!” Henry used air quotes to emphasize his point, and Yolanda whips him a few more times with the towel. He tries to duck and dodge but it doesn’t seem to work. Beth holds a hand up to her mouth and tries to stifle her laughs, before they both finally stop. The pair nodded at each other again, before they both took their rags and began whipping at Beth, who squealed and tried running around the kitchen. Beth hid behind Rick.
“Save me!” She squeaked from behind his back. He smiled back at her, making her beam up at him. He grabbed her towel from her and began whipping the other two with it. Beth’s heart fluttered at the sight of Rick coming to her rescue. Yolanda caught her and raised her eyebrows suggestively, making Beth blush. After a few moments they all calmed down. So Beth sets Henry and Yolanda to finishing up the frosting.
“Rick, you can help me make the beignet dough if you’d like, it needs to rise for twenty four hours.” Rick grins at the suggestion, he finally drops his backpack by the door before heading over to the sink to wash his hands. Beth holds up a pink frilly apron when he makes his way over to her and looks at it curiously.
“You saw what we looked like when you got here, you’re definitely going to want this,” she spoke before walking around and slipping it over his head. She took a deep, shaky breath before reaching around his waist and pulling the strings back. She tied them in a nice bow before gingerly placing her hands on his hips to spin him around to face her again. They stare into each others eyes for a few moments, neither taking a breath. She finally takes a breath before she lets out a howl of laughter, making Henry and Yolanda’s heads spin, they then both joined her. Rick’s face turned a very bright shade of red, before he smiled hesitantly.
“Guys, come on…” He fiddled with one of the ruffles on his shoulder as Beth began to catch her breath.
“I’m… I’m sorry, you just…” she giggled a few more time, “You look so cute!” Beth didn’t think it was possible for Rick to get anymore red, but he did, and she felt her heart swell in her chest before she turned and glared at their friends, who were still shaking from laughter. The look on her face, though, shut them up real quick. The pair then went back to making sure the frosting got properly mixed.
Beth turned back to Rick, a comforting smile on her face, she gestured at him to follow her. She brought him to the other side of the kitchen and began reaching for a pot that had somehow ended up on the top shelf. When it became clear she could not reach it, Rick took a step closer, lifting it up with ease, bringing it down to the counter in front of them. Beth turned to thank him, and suddenly became acutely aware of how close he had come to her. She looked up into his eyes and they stood like that, staring at each other, for longer than either could count. Beth felt herself leaning into him, and she could swear that he was leaning towards her too. Suddenly Yolanda’s giggle cut through whatever spell had fallen over them and they jumped apart, looking anywhere but at each other. Beth felt her heart speed up as they turned towards the counter and began to work silently side by side. Each very aware of the other’s presence beside them.
Beth sighed sadly as they worked silently side by side for a few moments. She sighed as she looked up, begging for Rick to feel the same.
‘Please, it’s all I really want.’ She thought as she glanced over at Rick’s face, scrunched in frustration as he measured out the ingredients. ‘And I don’t know how much longer I can take this.’

“well the probability of that is 0, but you go ahead.” the triplet bros
This is probably the messiest thing I’ll ever publish, and is pure self indulgence, but I need to cope from your story somehow!
“Remind me again why we’re here?” Louie asked, holding open the door for his brothers.
“We are here to celebrate, bro,” Dewey cheered, strutting in with his typical over confidence.
Louie nodded skeptically, choosing a four-person table just at the window. “And what are we celebrating at a venue so esteemed as ‘a family-run-bar-with-occasional-nachos’?”
“Your big-little brother Dewey is going to catch himself a man,” he exclaimed, searching behind the bar for his duck-of-interest. He sighed with relief when he saw him emerge from the back with a container of nachos.
“You even know this guy?” Louie asked.
“Yeah? His name is Raffy and he’s Irish?”
Huey grinned. “ Ah, yes, everything you need to know about someone.”
Dewey scoffed, but he could see his brothers looking on disbelievingly. “I’m gonna do it,” Dewey said with a determined look in his eye, “and you two wet towels can’t stop me.” Louie and Huey exchanged a bemused glance, and Huey stifled a laugh.
“It’s not that we don’t believe in you, it’s just that—”
“Last time you mixed romance and alcohol, you got sealed into a wall,” Louie cut in with a cheeky grin.
“You’re both just jealous that I’m gonna get the guy in five minutes or less.” Dewey got up with a huff and made his way to the counter.
“Well, the probability of that is zero, but you go ahead,” Louie called out after him.
Was life trying to prove his brothers right? Dewey got to the counter, but the only service he could get was from the old guy who started working last week, and he was not looking for a sliver fox. He munched sullenly on his nachos, debating whether or not to bring some back to his brothers. That would mean letting them gloat, though, he thought with a sigh. Was he losing his game? Dewey didn’t want to admit it, but it had been a while since he’d played the dating game, what with the whole Dante situation, and he may have lost his touch...
“Well, if it isn’t our favorite regular,” Dewey shot up to see the younger barkeep smirking down at him. “Going to ‘accidentally’ leave anything tonight?” He noticed the two young men sitting at the booth, incredulous. “Ah, so you’ve dragged company here, then! Hope you don’t forget them.” He chuckled drily. “Hey, you two! You want to move on up here?”
Louie burst into laughter, and Huey dragged him over to the bar, sitting so Dewey was boxed in. Huey and Raffy had a brief moment of recognition, a quick nod and it was over. “Can we get nachos, too?” Louie put on a slightly pleading voice. Raffy nodded.
“Pap, can you get another plate of nachos? Then you’re relieved for the night. I don’t think we’ll be getting anymore.” The older man saluted playfully, heading back into the kitchen.
“So, Riff-Raff, how long you known our darling brother Dewford?” Louie asked, stroking Dewey’s hair.
“Like, a month? Two months? He just kinda started coming in every couple weeks. Which turned to every week. Why are you asking?”
“Well,” Dewey said, smacking Louie’s hands away, “I wanted to see if you wanted to—”
“Here’s the nachos,” Raffy’s dad exclaimed, bursting in with two trays of food. He set them down in front of the brothers with a grin and a wink, all before turning to leave. “See ya in the morning, son,” he called to Raffy, who nodded back. The party waited until they heard multiple doors close before they continued.
“Where was I?”
“You wanted to know if I wanted to...?” Raffy coached Dewey forward.
“Oh, right! I was wondering if you wanted to, I dunno, go on a da—”
“Yaaa-buh-buh-bup.” Raffy held out his hand to stop him. “I can’t talk about that on the clock!” So, he swung the counter open, walked to the front of the building, and flipped the switch so that ‘closed’ was blinking brightly, and untied his apron.
“I was wondering—” Raffy held out his finger to stop Dewey once again, this time pulling out a cigarette and lighter, and taking a drag. “Ok, shoot.”
Dewey waited for a moment, anticipating further interruptions, yet none came. “You wanna go out? Like on a date?” He finally asked, any sense of formality gone. Raffy stared at him for a moment, then at the ceiling, and back to Dewey. The silence was palpable, and the brothers sat in mutual support, waiting for the rejection.
Finally, the young barkeep responded. “Keep it lowkey enough that my pap doesn’t get any ideas, and sure.”
The trio all sighed in relief. Their relief turned to confusion as Raffy produced a ballpoint pen and notepad and proceeded to write something down quickly. He put it face-down in Dewey’s hand and stood expectantly. The three brothers stared at the paper in amazement. “It’s the bill,” Raffy said bluntly. “I already added it to your tab, but I thought you might want to know how much those two owe you.”
“O-k-?” Dewey smiled, uncertain. Raffy pointed to the door.
“Time to go,” he chirped. “Text me, or something. But I’m tired, and I can’t lock up until you’re gone.” The brothers collectively got up and walked to the door.
They heard the lock snap shut behind them. “Bro, open the paper,” Louie climbed onto Dewey’s shoulder to see it better. “I wanna see what I’m not gonna pay you.”
Dewey shoved him off, pulling the paper back out. “I know how much you owe. Nachos are nine-fifty.”
“Yeah, I don’t think it’s just the bill,” Huey added, “Besides, maybe he discounted you?”
Dewey laughed, “yeah, right. If it shuts you guys up, whatever.” He unfolded the little paper to find a two-column, three-row table that said “Nachos” and “$9.55” on every pair. There was also, on the right hand corner, a small phone number. Dewey blinked in disbelief. “Wow.” He said lowering the paper. The other two clambered to see.
“Ok, bro, you did it,” Louie conceded. “How does it feel to still have game?”
“It’d feel a whole lot better if he didn’t add five cents per order!

Ellie mutinies to Heartless. Everyone is shocked as they saw her in a really good position on the tribe
Jessica mutinies to Heartless because she knows that she is next on the chopping block
Colin mutinies to Nobody to cause chaos. Ellie tells him to side with Kim, and he tells her and Dylan to protect Christina
i'm sad colin left. but the show must go on
*All speculative prose (I do not know anything 🙃)* So I feel bad. I think Colin may have gone because Colin thought I was. The problem is he did not talk to me beforehand?!? Like Colin and were talking about it and then COVID and then the edit logic... And I was busy talking to people and the new tribe members. I hope I did not screw over Colin after hearing how it is over there. At least here *every* one is faking it. ...and he was gone. Not sure Colin will be happier there, but hope so.
~~~~~
Ellie forms a bond with Emma and wants to work with her despite her messiness
Pretty confident, I screwed over Colin. I apologize to Colin and to what I may have done to his game. I will feel guilty about this for a long time. Even if I am wrong, I still feel like I missed something with it being so crazy. Regrettably, Emma
I can’t find an idol to save my life now lmao nor can I figure out how to stop failing a part of it 😭 We won the immunity challenge AGAIN! I’m really proud of the tribe for this one because it was such a pain in the ass 😂 There was also an opportunity to mutiny and Colin took it! The chaos pull was strong for him lol. I really almost went too, but I heard negative things about the guys on nobody tribe soooo that’s a no from me. Heartless Tribe gained two people, which gives me another shot at building bonds. This immunity challenge we’re doing now is really fun tbh. We have to complete units of Japanese on Duolingo! I think we can win this one. If we don’t, there are a lot of people to choose from 🖤
~~~~~
Emma gets really paranoid about all the people who are talking
Fairly sure Dylan is holding the tribe in this challenge, but think Jessica will do a lot today. Weary of new people, of course, lol. They both are new to the tribe, and Ellie is super chill. We can talk about anything, so glad for her! Amy and I should have just done it. I do not think that this majority/minority wants to go tribal, and then the others do. So I am prepared for tribal. And I am staying silent to everyone else. The people playing in this are supposed to be my allies. I want this to be true. I wish I did not speculate as much as I do.
Lord please keep me from losing my shit on Emma. She is legit the messiest person alive and I cannot wait to vote her out. She consistently sends the wrong people the wrong chats and then wildly tries to pretend the messages are meant for them. She’s always in everyone’s business about challenges and idols and freaking out if people don’t talk for a few minutes. I will say this. If it goes to tribal, this vote goes to Emma because I can’t deal with her stress anymore.
こんにちは !! Liking this new tribe. I wish Kim switched over. Things are going well I think. Need to talk to more people and find out the scoop of everything. Things seem calm? Probably because they haven’t voted anyone out. Hopefully we win the challenge because I’ve been learning Japanese all day and this girl is tired.
~~~~~
WOOOOO WE WON. I have to admit it does feel good to win. And why yes raffy, I will enjoy my night off.
Yay Kevin! Yay our whole Heartless Tribe! Just, yay!
~~~~~
Christina and Kevin did amazing! Super proud of them because I know they both worked hard/love languages. This Immunity Challenge solidified (maybe) some stuff with Kevin and Christina being in this for the tribe. I am just going to try and be cautious. This will likely fail. 😆 Ellie's amazing addition. I think, overall, we are relieved. Party!!! 🥳😴😎🙃
~~~~~
Emma believes Amy is lying to her about something, calls out people in the tribe chat, and gets increasingly frustrated by people not answering her within 5 minutes.
https://youtu.be/EnKi5uFqj3g
Seriously hope Dylan/Kevin sent Colin over as a "spy" (since they have played together). I do think if I was faster as processing things that I would have made two different decisions, regardless of Colin's intentions. 1. Would have messaged closest allies and said I was going for sure. 2. Would have messaged Hosts I was going.
https://youtu.be/SrWYjWZmhiM
Friday was so crazy! I'm still in shock over Colin switching tribes, that was so unexpected. I really liked getting to know him. Also I don't really like the new People. Ellie seems sweet but she really is too sweet, it's almost ingenuine. Jessica just seems rude. I mean she waited until 2 days after switching to this tribe to talk to me. I had to talk to her. Like, who does that? Especially after mutineeing from a tribe. You should be on high alert. Jessica is a no bueno for now, but we'll see.
~~~~~
Ellie wants to work with Emma as they bonded over their similar chaos energy. She realizes that a lot of people are after Emma due to her messiness in general
Missing kin hours :(( Still I really like my new tribe!! Everyone is nice and I don’t think I’d be the target, rn it seems like Emma has a target on her back which kinda sucks cause I like her a lot but it’s better than me!
~~~~~
Emma leaves even more alliance chats that she created on a whim.
Ellie mutinies to Heartless. Everyone is shocked as they saw her in a really good position on the tribe
Jessica mutinies to Heartless because she knows that she is next on the chopping block
Colin mutinies to Nobody to cause chaos. Ellie tells him to side with Kim, and he tells her and Dylan to protect Christina
A mutiny. OF COURSE ITS A MUTINY! I'll absolutely say i wasn't expecting it but those were some bold decisions. Ellie i wasn't entirely surprised by HOWEVER Jessica mutinies and my heart skips a beat. It was ths game move she needed to make 100% because even if i potentially wanted to keep her , i wasn't going to a tiebreaker for her . Someone mutinied feom the heartless tribe and i wonder if they felt on the outs of they're just here to infiltrate. Who knows
Not surprised at the outcome at tribal tonight. I really did like John and enjoyed chatting with him, but for the sake of safety in numbers, he had to go. What I’m surprised is that Ellie jumped ship! Not so much Jessica, but Ellie has a good thing going for us. We will see how things pan out now that we’re divided 4-8!
~~~~~
Colin goes to work socializing with a new group. It’s going to be tough since those 3 are tight. He needs to crack a wall somewhere
Results: https://hollowbastionsurvivor.tumblr.com/post/630371332666867712/duolingo-results
I honestly feel responsible again for losing the challange!!! A 2??!?!?! Here I thought we were gonna average something much lower. But honestly, I didn't have much time to work on it as I spent the majority of the day at work. I think at this point our allience will vote together and unfortunately Colin will be the casualty. He shouldn't have mutinied...
Look i get that is part of this whole process but DAMN . Why does my tribe have to attend all the tribals. It's kind of demoralising tbh .
~~~~~
Colin wanted to target Jordan, but has switched to Daniel. Kim wants to flip, but doesn't want it to tie. Jordan wants to flip on Kim since they have two rewards. The spice is going to be flavorful
OKAY so I need to walk you guys through my decision to mutiny. because on surface level it seems really dumb. I'm here to explain to you why its ALSO dumb on the deeper level. i'm a messy ass bitch. I have played DOZENS of these games and I've never taken a mutiny before, so honestly this was mostly about new horizons and trying new things! BUT ALSO. Ellie mutinied. and I NEED to be able to play my game without Ellie. I had good connections on my og tribe with Christina, Kevin, Dylan, and Amy. I hope that distance will make the heart grow fonder and they will realize how much they actually wanna work with me when I'm not there!! I gave them sufficient warning and tried to smooth things over so it wouldn't be awkward when we are reunited. My ultimate plan is to just survive until merge and then make a powerhouse trio of me, Christina, and Dylan. Dylan and I can be strategic masterminds, while Christina and I can also help maneuver us socially. After coming onto the Nobody tribe, I'm honestly not impressed. Kim seems okay but a lil dry, Jordan is barely around and also a lil dry, and Daniel is actually really fun to talk to, but doesn't seem invested game wise. I think i need to get Jordan out by painting him as a challenge threat. I think I'll try to make an alliance of Kim and Daniel. I really just need them to protect me. Losing this challenge SUCKS. I kinda wish Christina and Dylan had thrown for me. but I didn't expect them to and I'm not surprised they didn't. I think my name is absolutely on the chopping block because everyone else seems comfortable, but I fully intend to put in WORK to make sure I stay. if I can make it past this, this will be a huge talking point on my resume for FTC. I'm starting early. Wish me luck!! xoxo.
~~~~~
Everyone is targeting each other and it’s about to be a big ol mess
I know it should be a no brain-er to who's going home tomorrow but i honestly do see the value of keeping Colin . We've bonded and i honestly do think he can be an ally for me moving into a merge. But it would require someone else to pull off because i don't want to piss off either Daniel or Jordan or potentially both if i vote against them
~~~~~
Colin attempts to talk with people about the vote, but no one responds back to him. Things are looking bleak as Kim as voted early for Colin. “I was talking to Kim this morning and basically all he said was he didn't think jordan and daniel would vote for each other. I hope Kim will at least let me do firemaking”
Colin shifts gears and tries to get Jordan to flip on Kim. However, Jordan is too scared to talk to Daniel about it, fearing it might ruin their relationship. So, he seemingly backs out on it. Colin grows increasingly frustrated with the fake back and forth. He doesn’t view Daniel as playing his own game as Daniel seems to do whatever Jordan wants him to do
Lost one of my core members to a mutiny, now lost the challenge. Our tribe has 4 members, two of which I believe to be close allies, one being the new member who mutinied from the other tribe, and of course myself. Kim, one of my allies, has been winning rewards throughout the game which scare me a bit. I’ve been getting along with our new member pretty well and it’s made me consider trying to find a way to vote out Kim so we can keep Colin around and just get rid of those rewards. I don’t think Dan would trust me anymore if I threw out an idea like this though so I don’t know if there’s a way to make it happen. However, I think I’m still leaning towards voting out the new member and at least trying to stay three strong. We will see if I feel the same tomorow.
im so sad. why did i take the mutiny. I'm really about to get voted out bc no one is even TALKING to ME all three of my new tribemates have expressed interest in keeping me and said that we had vibed really well. but now here I am, 4 hours before tribal, with absolutely nothing. No one talking to me. No names thrown out. They're going with the easy vote. I don't understand why. I can protect them going into merge!! they're going to be at such a numbers disadvantage, and I can be a bridge to the OG heartless tribe if I make it. But they don't wanna give me that chance. I'm so frustrated.
I’ve really been trying to find a way to keep Colin but I just don’t think it’s gonna be worth it for me to risk my current friendships. I’m too nervous to even consider mentioning the option to either of them for fear they will just blow me off entirely after that. I do think I would have more fun if I kept Colin around, but it may be short lived. A blindside would be super spicy right now but we will see...
These Killer Hair Products Belong In Every Man"s Bathroom Cabinet
March 20, 2017 Share Tweet Men"s hairstyles continually evolve with new trends, and with each trend comes a slew of new hair products. Just like the shoes and clothes you wear, the way you style your hair says a lot about your sense of fashion and personality. That said, even if you crave a new look, sometimes change is intimidating. Kind of like shaving off a hard-earned beard can be off-putting, letting your short locks grow out can feel somewhat disorienting — and with reason! Your look, to some extent, dictates who you are. So before you decide on your next hair move, read on to find out what these hair products can do for you. These products each form distinct textures and styles for various hair types, which might be overwhelming if you don"t know exactly what you need. We"ve combed through the best hair products out there. From the luxury brand names to the cream of the drug store crop, good hair products for men can be found at all levels of the hair-product stratum. It"s also why lists like this one are great guides – just like in choosing the best beard trimmers or the best electric shavers – to know where to start in donning that new hairstyle you"ve been wanting to try.
Pomade
A clever blend of wax and oil, a good pomade will help you achieve the classic look made popular by Leonardo DiCaprio (think The Great Gatsby) and Mad Men’s Don Draper. Pomades are primarily used to bless hair with extra shine and softer texture, which makes them especially great for curly hair. When choosing a pomade, look for one that’s water-based so it"s easy to wash out. How To Use: Using your fingers, spread a small amount of pomade to the areas that need a little extra shaping or texture. Be careful not to use too much to avoid your hair looking greasy.
Imperial Barber Products Classic Pomade (Best Pomade)
A brand defined by barbers for barbers, Imperial produces one of the strongest water-based products out there. With the ability to adapt to wet or dry hair, groomists can style their locks effortlessly—whether that means fresh out of the shower styling or a post-workday refresh. Enjoy semi-sheen with clean rinsability.$14.50 at Amazon.com
Murray’s Original Pomade
From a company who clearly cherishes brand value, Murray"s Original Pomade is simple and modest, yet has earned itself a devout celebrity fan club. With this number, you can forget about the extra bells and whistles, but you can count on it as a veritable workhorse in your dopp kit. $5.80 at Amazon.com
Uppercut Deluxe Pomade
Perfectly water-soluble, this product is particularly popular among those who rock the slickback, the pompadour or other timeless styles. It features a strong hold, and a medium shine that doesn"t dry up and flake.$18.00 at Amazon.com
Putties and Clay
Wax’s cousins, putties and clay, can be used in much the same way as any strong-holding matte product. These are great for accomplishing the messiest-looking hairdos with pretty much any hair type, and can even help add thickness to naturally thin manes. Clays and company will create defined strands and a pliable texture that won’t give itself away with any shine. How To Use: Like wax, use your fingers to texture and tousle the areas that you want to style. Clay isn’t sticky, but it can leave a gummy residue in your hair and on your hands if you use too much.
Baxter of California Clay Pomade
A perfect halfway point between pomade and putty, this award-winning (Men"s Health Best Styling Product, and Reader"s Digest Best Wax) lemon and sage-scented clay from Baxter of California is a great option for anyone needing control of their hair. It boasts natural ingredients, like real clay and beeswax, a strong hold with a no-shine finish, while it creates natural-looking shapes.$22.00 at Amazon.com
Lock Stock & Barrel 85 Karats Shaping Clay
Clays are great for adding volume and texture to any style, and this one from Lock Stock & Barrel is a perfect example. Especially great on shorter cuts for locking in those stubborn short hairs, it can be used on damp or dry hair. It can also be reapplied or reshaped throughout the day by simply working it with your fingers.$15.99 at Amazon.com
Detroit Grooming Co. Putty
One of the most reliable tools out there, Detroit Grooming Company"s pomade offers a lasting yet low maintenance style. Scented with lemon and bergamot, this is the putty you"re going to want to add to your styling routine.$17.95 at DetroitGrooming.com
Cream
For the most natural look, a quality cream will simply add a touch of shine and lustre for a healthy-looking head of hair. Perfect for wavy, curly, and longer locks, cream is a great grooming product that can help eradicate frizziness when used on wet hair. Compared to stiff wax or heavy gel, creams offer a light texture, which can also help soften coarse hair. For inspiration, you can look to Brad Pitt in The Counselor or World War Z. How To Use: Creams can be used as a main or finishing product. Start by distributing a small amount from your hands to your hair, and re-apply as needed. For those with longer hair, you can concentrate on treating the ends to help diminish dead-end frizziness.
Fellow Barber Styling Cream
Here"s the trick to mastering the messy look. Fellow Barber"s ultra-light hold and under-the-radar shine lends it a finish that kind of reads party-meets-boardroom. This one is definitely in our top picks.$22.00 at Amazon.com
Paul Mitchell Shaping Cream
Tea tree is one of the foremost ingredients in men"s hair products – it"s natural and cleansing. Designed to give your hair ample texture and definition, this tea tree cream dries matte so that your hair looks as natural as possible. Its soft wax makes for easy styling. $19.40 at Amazon.com
Baxter of California Grooming Cream
Functional on numerous styling fronts, Baxter’s lightweight hair treatment conveys manageability and overall conditioning better than most products in its class. It’s formulated for fine/thinning hair with a rich ingredient list that allows it to tame wavy/curly hair as well. Rely on a trio of essential oils—grapeseed, jojoba, and sunflower—to aid in hydration and follicle repair.$20.00 at Amazon.com
Wax
This versatile product can help you achieve great hairstyles, from relaxed bed-head to more controlled looks. Good for short to mid-length hair, wax can deliver long-holding style, without adding grease or looking shiny. As your day progresses, hair wax will allow you to reshape and restyle accordingly, without getting your hands sticky. As long as it is evenly distributed, wax can lend you an effortlessly roguish look. How To Use: Shake the bottle. Dispense a small amount in one hand and apply to your hair with both hands. Style your hair to your liking and blow dry for maximum hold.
Uppercut Featherweight Pliable Paste
For easy, messy hair, this medium-hold wax from Uppercut will do the trick. The wax is light, so you don"t have to worry about it hardening, and it has a dry, matte finish, so you don"t have to worry about looking like you"ve got gunk in your hair. $17.99 at Amazon.com
V76 V Rated Natural Wax
Applicable on dry hair, this offering suits the tousled medium look warranting medium hold and low shine. It’s praised for not melting on your scalp throughout the day, earning users carefully “careless shape, sheen, and separation” with natural movement. Slickness is another area where the product excels leaving no stray hairs present.$21.00 at Amazon.com
Blind Barber 60 Proof Hair Wax
This nutrient-rich styler comes blended with hops to condition the scalp and prevent hair fall, along with moisturizing additives to easily manipulate the wax when spread across. Enjoy a matte finish with a light hold created by nothing more than a dime size dollop scooped in-hand. All hair types apply.$59.96 at Amazon.com
Gel
Good for thick hair, gel’s primary function is to keep hair in place. Hair gel can be used to attain some of the most old-school looks, like the ones sported by Elvis, or John Travolta in Grease. Slick and stiff, it can be applied to wet or dry hair for different effects. Gel tends to make hair shiny, which is probably what has earned its reputation as the modern day hair grease.If you’re happy with keeping the same look from dawn until dusk, gel will deliver exactly that. That said, you might want to consider a different option if you’re prone to running your fingers through your hair. Once dried in position, gel can break from its shape, or flake, if meddled with. How To Use: Start with a small coin-sized portion of gel in your hands. Apply to wet or dry hair, and style as usual. You can use a blow dryer for maximum hold or let it dry naturally (it will look shinier). As previously mentioned, refrain from retouching once the gel is dry to avoid flaking.
Kerastase Homme Sculpting Gel
The star of this category, this sculpting gel from Kerastase is great for creating a denser head of hair, without feeling heavy or greasy. It"s also water-soluble for easy removal.$32.24 at Amazon.com
Redken For Men Stand Tough Extreme Gel
Not many gels can earn strong reviews backed by a colossal 5-star rating (83%) on Amazon. Then again, that’s quite normal for any Redken personal care product. Its extra strong gel falls in line showcasing maximum stay power that comes third to its definition and shaping capabilities. Curly types should find solace in freezing their frizz in place when out and about.$14.79 at Amazon.com
Dove Men Care Control Gel
Adapted for stylish purposes, Dove’s translucent gel gives the appearance of thicker, stronger hair with smooth texture application. The caffeine-infused substance resurrects flat and thin manes by keeping hair defined and smooth, leaving no grease or residue behind. One quick pass-through with a comb and create a bold look, on a budget at that.$5.12 at Amazon.com
Mousse
Mousse really isn"t our favorite kind of hair product, mainly because it"s annoying to use (it"s foamy in the hands and feels crunchy when it dries) and because you can accomplish similar, easier effects with other types of hair products. That said, there are a few good mousse options out there and it can be used fairly successfully on thin hair. Especially when used in combination with a blow dryer, mousse can lend extra volume. How to use: Use when hair is damp, starting at the roots of your hair. Style as usual, and let dry naturally or with a blow dryer.
Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam
Not strictly speaking a mousse, Aveda"s styling foam is a great product to use against thin, flat hair — also it"s easy to apply. Made from natural ingredients, one will never worry over chemicals often found in other mousse alternatives (stay away from anything that comes in an aerosol can). Build volume and keep hair detangled.$21.00 at Nordstrom.com
Giovanni Natural Mousse Air-Turbo Charged Hair Styling Foam
Give your follicles a botanical spritz with this nutrient-filled mousse. Distribution is slick across the head despite having a heavy texture, but that’s simply an attribute that aids in the product’s super-strong hold. Its neutral scent also kills any metrosexual notions normally associated with unisex mousses.$42.00 at Amazon.com
Oribe Surfcomber Tousled Texture Mousse
If high-end haircare is the lane you rid, then by all means splurge on a premium styling foam designed to hydrate and texturize your locks. Oribe employs its signature complex of watermelon, lychee, and edelweiss flower extracts that protects you from damage and color-depleting effects caused by environmental elements.$29.15 at Amazon.com
Pastes
Ideal for all hair lengths, paste bears a thicker consistency than most other styling products, yet is known to provide hair a medium to strong hold. Other notable attributes include a natural matte finish and touch of shine. They come water-based, can easily be rinsed out, and lastly, give you more control of hair placement. How to use: Normally thicker hair paste requires some heating before application. However, rubbing it together softens the composition for balanced distribution. Once styled it will cool into hair and re-thicken, therefore holding your hairstyle in place.
Kevin Murphy Night Rider Matte Texture Paste
Not strictly speaking a mousse, Aveda"s styling foam is a great product to use against thin, flat hair — also it"s easy to apply. Made from natural ingredients, one will never worry over chemicals often found in other mousse alternatives (stay away from anything that comes in an aerosol can). Build volume and keep hair detangled.$59.99 Amazon.com
Fellow Barber Texture Paste
Much like its styling cream, Fellow Barber’s hair plaster is potent enough to nourish your entire crown landscape. It’s a product that adapts to your grooming tendencies over time, offering resilient texture and shaping the more you use it. A light amount is enough to control waves, whereas a heavier dose puts coarse hair in its place.$21.90 at Amazon.com
Axe Messy Look Flexible Paste
A hot seller amongst urbanites, Axe’s hairstyling fix solves the walk-of-shame look with a flexible hold and polished texture that lifts your spirits when rushing out the door. Instantly reshape and relax hair with just a smidge off the top of the tin can. Hints of coconut are a nice touch. Incorporate with the brand’s haircare regimen (we recommend the 2-in-1 Adrenaline Deep Clean Shampoo & Conditoner) for maximum performance.$6.45 at Amazon.com
Which Hair Product Is Right For You?
Hopefully, you"ll find a product that best reflects your hair and style needs. Just remember: Whatever product you opt for, make sure it contains no alcohol, and try to find products with UV sunscreen protection and moisturizing characteristics to maintain healthy hair. Perfect for wavy, curly, and longer locks, cream is a great grooming product that can help eradicate frizziness when used on wet hair. Compared to stiff wax or heavy gel, creams offer a light texture, which can also help soften coarse hair. For inspiration, you can look to Brad Pitt in The Counselor or World War Z. How To Use: Creams can be used as a main or finishing product. Start by distributing a small amount from your hands to your hair, and re-apply as needed. For those with longer hair, you can concentrate on treating the ends to help diminish dead-end frizziness.
Gel
Good for thick hair, gel’s primary function is to keep hair in place. Hair gel can be used to attain some of the most old-school looks, like the ones sported by Elvis, or John Travolta in Grease. Slick and stiff, it can be applied to wet or dry hair for different effects. Gel tends to make hair shiny, which is probably what has earned its reputation as the modern day hair grease.If you’re happy with keeping the same look from dawn until dusk, gel will deliver exactly that. That said, you might want to consider a different option if you’re prone to running your fingers through your hair. Once dried in position, gel can break from its shape, or flake, if meddled with. How To Use: Start with a small coin-sized portion of gel in your hands. Apply to wet or dry hair, and style as usual. You can use a blow dryer for maximum hold or let it dry naturally (it will look shinier). As previously mentioned, refrain from retouching once the gel is dry to avoid flaking.
Mousse
Mousse really isn"t our favorite kind of hair product, mainly because it"s annoying to use (it"s foamy in the hands and feels crunchy when it dries) and because you can accomplish similar, easier effects with other types of hair products. That said, there are a few good mousse options out there and it can be used fairly successfully on thin hair. Especially when used in combination with a blow dryer, mousse can lend extra volume. How to use: Use when hair is damp, starting at the roots of your hair. Style as usual, and let dry naturally or with a blow dryer.
Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam
Not strictly speaking a mousse, Aveda"s styling foam is a great product to use against thin, flat hair — also it"s easy to apply. Build volume and keep hair detangled.$21.00 at Nordstrom.com
Giovanni Natural Mousse Air-Turbo Charged Hair Styling Foam
Pastes
Ideal for all hair lengths, paste bears a thicker consistency than most other styling products, yet is known to provide hair a medium to strong hold. Other notable attributes include a natural matte finish and touch of shine. They come water-based, can easily be rinsed out, and lastly, give you more control of hair placement. How to use: Normally thicker hair paste requires some heating before application. However, rubbing it together softens the composition for balanced distribution. Once styled it will cool into hair and re-thicken, therefore holding your hairstyle in place.
