usaid and assorted us/euro ngos were literally throwing money @ vzlan immigrants for basically coming here w no papers btw. the money is handed out by smaller orgs in cash, goes basically unaccounted for under the guise of this being some poorly organized/planned social studies or humanities research project and enables them to take unbelievably low paid + occasionally straight up illegal jobs bc theyre basically also getting a reliable and endless everything subsidy from us and european countries to live here and this depresses wages for everyone else etc etc. also having no papers or id makes them basically un-prosecutable in certain cases which is already a problem w like, illegal colectivo drivers who dont have licences and therefore just get no penalties bc of insane legal loopholes. source i simply know things and also i have eyes and ears.
