Oh my god, imagine Bruce taking the batkids sailing to learn about "team work" and "running a tight ship" and it just ends with, Jason getting knocked off the boat, Dick slips at one point and breaks his arm, Tim runs into a beam, Damian claims that he can steer better than everyone, especially Drake and pushes Tim out of the way and ends up crashing a 100,000 dollar sail boat into the peer, Bruce has a pounding head and Cassandra thinks all and all compared to most other family outings this went pretty well.

Omg so my grandma and I started watching Gracepoint and I fucking love it so far. Is there gonna be a second season?

Unfortunately no. Fox canceled Gracepoint after its first season like the bastards they are and they have no plans of bringing it back. The show suffered from poorly handled promotions, a truly horrible time slot which lead to poor viewer ratings, and then reviewers constantly comparing it to the original show Broadchurch. Add to all that a good bit of nastiness from a handful of Broadchurch “fans” vocally bashing Gracepoint at every turn (even ruining the original ending for those who’d not seen Broadchurch!) and, well, Gracepoint’s fate isn’t all that surprising in the end.

I think a lot of people forgot that it wasn’t made for those who saw Broadchurch. That said, I did see Broadchurch when it aired and I’ll admit that I was one of many who thought Gracepoint wasn’t going to be any good when I first heard about it. But you know what? I ended up falling in love with it. The show was promised to be different and it was. It took a few paths that the original didn’t, it went a bit further on some story threads that the original didn’t, it introduced new characters, and the ending was different (as was also promised). People keep complaining that it wasn’t different, but it was. The killer actually was different. I don’t know what they wanted, honestly. Or expected.

It’s just so disappointing that Gracepoint won’t be returning because the ending does leave it open for that, but no. It’s going nowhere.
