ok sure!! ill be brief so as not to spoil things

villain vev au where he still ends up falling for alto, and eventually convinces him to come see him solo, where they slowly make things work, abandoning things for a moment of peace while keeping appearances up. alto slowly adapts a double life to see vev in the night and still be part of the group set to defeat him. its this kinda romeo and juliet scenario where the only thing keeping them apart is their allegiances. ofc i dont want to spoil when things end up getting to a breaking point, but it sure does come crashing down!!

also uh. yeah. it is tagged major character death. sorry!

!!!VENTING POST!!!

Hey friends. Something happened today and I just want to vent about it a little bit. You’ll understand why I wanted to do it here in a moment.

If you aren’t in to venting/storytime posts, then feel free to keep scrolling! I’ll have some other content posted in a bit!

So, it starts with my boyfriend. He is amazing and I love him so much. He always listens to me ramble about everything and even though he isn’t a big D&D fan, he knows all about the lore of Khoarexia and like actually engages in conversation about the campaigns with me! His family is great for the most part too! A little hectic since there’s 7 of them in total, but still pretty cool. Well that was what I thought until a few hours ago.

The problem comes in with his younger sister. Now I had only met her once or twice before but each time she was so quiet and did not speak a word to me. This is fine! I thought maybe she just was shy. Well from the last time that I saw her, my boyfriend told me that she actually follows The Arcanenites too! I thought this was great! It would give me something to talk to her about and maybe it would help her warm up to me! I was SO wrong.

So, today, I went to my boyfriends house because he invited me over for Thanksgiving with his family. We hang out in his room for a bit and just do what we usually do. Well we got hungry so I came out to go to their kitchen and grab some snacks while his mom and dad were cooking and his sister is sitting on their living room sofa with a laptop and typing something. So I stop to say hello and vaguely mention that I follow The Arcanenites too; and you know what she says to me? She says:

“I don’t have time to talk to [my boyfriends name]’s whore of the month.” 

And she just goes right back to typing whatever she was working on. This just really upset me. Not only because I was just trying to be nice and connect with her, but also, because I have been dating my boyfriend for a little over a year. Anyway, I go back to my boyfriend and tell him what she said and he just said that “she’s always like that” and to not let it bother me. But I was bothered! I want his family to like me, so this was definitely a blow. Also, just being called someone’s whore is not the most awesome feeling ever. I ended up leaving shortly after that because I could feel myself getting more upset and I didn’t want to ruin their holiday dinner. I cried on the ride home and I haven’t texted my boyfriend back since leaving.

So like. Why did she have to be so rude? We could have talked about the campaigns or something or she could have asked to talk later. She just completely blew me off and insulted me. I think maybe I will try again on a day where maybe she isn’t doing something already. I don’t know.

fic reading night over!! i am not insane is SOOO good holy shit. if you're a fan of cults, manipulation, and voices in heads... this is the best fic ever. it follows veks being a cult leader for his patron and involves some freaky mind games and magic. corrupt veks is literally the coolest. plus the main cast is alluded to, but never specifically mentioned!

Well if we're asking about fanfics… I don't think I've heard of Emerald Eyes before. Which characters does it focus on?

that would be seth! it's a fic told through journal entries (in draconic we can presume) about his time coming to the arcanites, and eventaully starts being mixed in with a medical journal in vauge entries about pain levels and amount of bandages needed as of late. its hurt no comfort btw but it has a real cool way of slowly fading from friendly pages with offhand notes and scribbles to direct no nonsense reports, its eerie in the best way <33

ooh thats a hard one!! hm... so hard to pick from my long list. where you go i follow is def up there, but emerald eyes is getting up there. command me to be well is good, but it is a very common hozier songfic. speaking of songfics, owner of a lonely heart is <33! im also thinking of reading some more fics tonight, so i may update with some favs in the morning!!

Fenix

hero name: Sakura Swan

Quirk: Ribbon Dancer Fenix can produce ribbons of sturdy string that can have unlimited length to grapple, hold, and tie around things. she has a limited ability to control where they move, and can reel them back in at will. These ribbons can break, and their strength depends on Fenix's own status.

Veks

hero name: Black Dragon

Quirk: Obsidian Veks can produce a black crystalline structure from the area around him and on his body. he uses the material like layered Armour, and when placed on the ground, like a slippery glass material he can easily move across. he also makes weapons out of it.

Alto

hero name: Magician

Quirk: Sleight of Hand Alto can preform impossible-looking feats of magic, such as making things disappear, drawing cards the subject is thinking of, pulling things out of hats, etc. Alto has somewhat awareness of what he is doing, but the quirk is fed on suspension of the audience. the trick only works if the audience thinks its magic, after-all.

Seth

hero name: Archangel

Quirk: Infestation Seth can spread a ability-hindering spore through the air the more attack he deals, however, this also spreads to him and lowers his capacity for endurance. the only way to fix this is by the counterpart to his ability that allows him to absorb the spore back from the air and allowing it to recede back into a stasis within him, healing him, and also "nullifying" its effect on himself.

Daezonik

hero name: Night Glider

Quirk: Draco Daezonik has a body affecting quirk that has given them wings and a tail for flight, both colored grey, white, and cyan. they cannot fully fly, but can safely glide from tall heights and see in the dark.

well with crab posting all about superhero au, I can say I am currently thinking about that one. but a personal favorite one for me is time travel au, which is where the main group are sent back in time to when forest foes took place and have to solve the world ending on their own, because they interrupted the events of debbie meeting any of her friends! its a little chaotic and they have to set the timeline right but its very dear to my heart.

well.... Fenix for sure. She's a classic for villain aus, it literally feels just so??? augh??? like the concept of her falling so far to go as far to hurt people is amazing on its own, but pair that with the guilt and anguish it causes for her mentally, you've got yourself a potion for angst! (any scenes that involve flashbacks of her friends being dead mirroring anyone else dead in front of her = immediate fav)

i was literally just looking at fics!!! try out "Changes" or "owner of a lonely heart" theyre rllyyyy good and offer some light angst with comfort
