Harlock is trying to perfect his “don’t care” smirk. Tochiro may or may not be standing on a box to reach 5′2″. They are both having way too much fun for a pair of incarcerated space pirates.

First time trying a more realistic digital artstyle, and for a meme of all things... well, given my past efforts, I suppose it’s to be expected, lol.

The expressions were heavily inspired by their official wanted posters, which are amazing. Just look at these goofy goobers:

i took some creative liberties with the pre-army times but since we don't know ANYTHING about his childhood anyway maybe it's real who knows

all the filler series like Harlock Saga or Space Symphony Maetel happen between CWZ and SSX imo
