I guess it didn't just happen out of nowhere. Ayane did act like she hated Pin a lot because of his childishness. If someone said that they like Pin she would find it funny but underneath she cared about him. And her care might have reached Pin too. Her giving him things to eat like chocolates and everything influenced Pin . This opened the opportunity for him to get involved in her matters. If Ayane was always cold and distant towards Pin he might have cared less. Ayane really doesn't let others interfere in her matters. But she unknowingly did that for Pin. Kento might have took stand for Ayane which I am very grateful for but he was forcing Ayane. He could have cared without getting romantically involved. Even his words like let me lend you shoulder did not do much. He was always doing this even with Sawako. But Pin makes it special because he genuinely cared about Ayane later on. He motivated Ayane. He brought a towel and bag to cover her in the rain. He tried to check if she was actually sick being concerned about her health. Pin also protected Ayane from people hitting on her. And whenever she looked down on herself he encouraged Ayane to not think like that. It was not forced. He also waited a whole day to know her result.He wanted the best for her career. It's kinda hard to know how Pin saw Ayane but subconsciously he thought she was beautiful at least when he wasn't aware it was her. But even if he did he won't make moves on her which is the best part. Pin is protective of Ayane unlike Kento ( I hate to mention that scene but when Kento kinda forced Ayane on bed I disliked it). People always treat Ayane poorly because of her attractiveness. Even Kento said that she was attractive initially. Kento might have been a lot better than the people before him but he was still wrong. What makes Pin better in my judgement is that Pin respects Ayane. He also adores her. Pin is also close with Sawako but you can see how different it is with Ayane and it affects Pin gradually. I would love to believe that when Joe tells Ayane to kiss him for misfortune Pin becomes furious due to his jealousy and protectiveness.

Maybe I am reading too much into this but it kinda heals a part of me to know Pin loves Ayane in every interaction they have. I personally am very confused with the way my opposite gender ( male) has interacted with me and every time I thought they liked me they didn't. Obviously they were/are my crush so I was deeply interested about it. Pin is very mysterious when it comes to Ayane. We can see some signs but it doesn't show much about his inner feelings. It can be interpreted that way but when he talks he's really serious about it. So what I wanted to say was that in this scene Pin meets Ayane after rejecting her in the previous chap. He looks curious and maybe tries to strike a conversation to know how Ayane is feeling. Later Ayane points out his hair during the conversation and he is seen combing his hair on the graduation day. So did he pay attention to this because Ayane said it?

By the way he also happily says see you tomorrow. You know Pin has a beautiful smile. Not the proud grin he makes like you know whenever he's actually smiling. He's smile sometimes looks like he's sad too the same smile when he made while rejecting Ayane.

I am really fascinated by Kimi ni todoke. I love how it portrays romance between different pairs. The shy and awkward Kazehaya and Sawako, the friendship between Chizuru and Ryu. The way it gradually changes from being friends to lovers. People's focus shifted from Sawakaze to ChizuRyu for the complexity of the situation. I love anime or manga with Summer vacation, School festivals , Christmas Valentine's, birthday , dating etc. I love the feeling of teenage love and the restlessness that we see from eye contacts to , holding hands to kisses. I love how the writer showed us two couples with all this. I was laughing a lot too while watching the anime. I was sad and shocked to know when Kento and Ayane broke up. But the Pin and Ayane dynamics just hit different. I don't know how the writer wants us to interpret about them. But I learned a lot from Ayane's character and this unusual pair.It teached me that you don't need to see two characters hold hands, kiss and act lovey dovey to experience love.Pin and Ayane were barely a couple. I was laughing at their scenes. They're my favorite comic duo. But the way Pin just ends up saving her multiple times from bad people and Ayane gives him chocolates and snacks to return his kindness moved me. Pin also motivated her. As a mature acting teenage Ayane who fails to understand herself Pin brought the childishness in her. Have you seen how she blushes and smiles due to Pin? Have you seen how pretty she looks? Isn't it amusing how she pretty much appears that she hates Pin but one head pat makes her go crazy. I was so sad when Pin said "this is my Christmas gift to her" when Kento fought for Ayane. I loved their bickering. I love every duo that bickers like this and also blushes. Acts of service and words of encouragement are really my favorite love language. The way Pin gives her poly bags so she doesn't get wet in rain ughhh. Then also when he checks Ayane's temperature and is concerned if anything is bothering Ayane. It was deep. In the last Christmas Ayane ends up walking with Pin and buying him coffee. They were not dating but that was also beautiful. When Pin waited a whole day to know about Ayane's result and also brought an eraser for her was so beautiful. We see that lately Pin is behaving differently for Ayane. He also got mad at Joe for asking Ayane kisses.He was jealous for Ayane!!!They didn't do any couple things but I felt love. Another thing that I learned is you don't owe people love. If someone treats you nicely you can treat them with kindness while rejecting them. But it is necessary for you to love them too. You need to truly love someone with your whole heart. Don't do it because someone is nice to you . I have seen people calling Ayane ungrateful for rejecting Kento. But you have to understand her perspective too. You shouldn't force your feelings on someone. Kento also taught me to not force my emotions on someone and also to choose someone I actually love. I hope Ayane reunites with Pin someday. Also I love that Pin helps Ayane to know her goals. I really love it if the ml encourages the fl to pursue their career. As her teacher it is expected of Pin but still in other dynamics I would still want it. I also love how he is unconsciously attracted to her but won't make moves or take advantage of her. We know how he actually respects her by the end of the series. Always cheering for this unusual bickering couple #ayapin
