This is a separate file for a chapter of Arachnomaly, one of the chapters that is going to change the direction of the plot... it's astill rough around the edges, but I've started it almost a year ago!

“PARKER!”, Sajani yelled, as she pulled the lever in front of her. “The last capacitor is at its limit!” “We need to hold the breach a minute longer, Sajani!”, Peter Parker was fast at the computer station, correcting the equation on the fly. ‘Just a bit more… and I can form the bridge!’ The machine sparked, the spark of light hanging in the air starting to grow, though still unstable. “Structural analysis?”, he queried his colleague, who gave him a thumbs up in reply. “Still stable!” Grady Scraps was about to turn on his switch, but Peter stopped him. “Not yet, Grady!” “Parker, it’s gone too far already!”, replied the man, a new Hawaiian shirt under his lab coat, night sky themed this time. “If you turn on the attenuator, the stabilization process will not occur!” Peter spoke up, in expectation. All the simulations had been made and now the whole process was automated, and the only thing left was to hope things would go according to his plan. “He’s right, G”, Metron Jackson pointed out, still behind the shielding panel. “You don’t know that!” “I ran the numbers on my mind.”, the kid replied. “You say it like that is reassuring!”

Peter Parker / DC Series:

The Dark Matter Multiverse Series by @mysterycyclone

Dark Matter is the blueprint for most Peter Parker / DC fics, and it's also fucking fantastic. If you're reading a crossover and don't understand why, without explanation, Peter is talking to ghosts? Why he by default ends up living in a firehouse? Read Dark Matter.

Spider and Bat Friends Series by @emmacortana

So far, 12 well written and hilarious works from my all-time favorite author, Miss emmacortana. This, coming from someone with over 1,500 bookmarks. She's that good.

Bitsy and The Bats Series Series by @wibbwoby

Haven't read this one in a while, so I don't have much to say, but Rated T for Traumatized is an absolute classic.

A heavier read, wherein Peter tries to keep his job, make rent, and has a lot of unfortunate run-ins with Gotham's rogues.

Peter is the Wayne family's doctor. He has a... chaotic time. I've only read Part 1, but I am still including this here because it's a series.

Only one! Most of mine are all in FF.net, maybe one day I'll post them there, but for now, yeah, single fic.

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count?

Today (10/30/2023), measly 45k, but I'll be posting two chapters this week, so... 50k soon?

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Now, Spider-Man and Batman, but I've mostly published Doctor Who fics, usually crossovers.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Just AO3, that is Arachnomaly. If I include the works in FF.net, then, by favorites, it would be:

5) Maelstrom in the Darkness - An Essay on Blindness: What if Uzumaki Naruto had been incurably blind from birth? Oh, I wish I had time to write more, so many ideas, so LITTLE TIME!

4) Smoke on the Water - The Untold Stories! Based on the popular "Smoke on the Water" story by Sir-Mercutio-McHuffer, who authorized me to publish chapters as a separate, sorta-not-exactly-canon bonus chapters!

3) Different Doctors Meet a Most Unique Universe: after a talk with @zaziecurie , I started writing this collection of short stories about The Doctor in Steven Universe's reality, different takes as his many incarnations (4, 10 and 12 posted, but I had other ideas)

2) Justice-Whimey : formerly my longest fic to date, it's a tie with the first place, The Tenth Doctor is a patient in Arkham Asylum, DC Universe, in an reality-altering adventure;

Sure, always! I don't have too many comments, but what I get, I try to reply on the same day or the following, at most!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

My short story Destiny is Not A Game , in FF.net, based on the finale of the game X-Men: Destiny.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

What is this 'happy ending' people talk about so much?!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Hate in ao3? Maybe... overzealous criticism?

The worst stuff, as expected, is in the reviews in FF.net, but, again, it's FF.net, so what can you do against great guest reviewers such as...

9. Do you write smut fic? If so, what kind?

Used to, but they are for my wife's eyes only !

10. Do you write crossovers? If so, what’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Currently, Spider-Man x Batman comics, but the craziest were my forays into Doctor Whooves stories (my focus, as always, had been more of a whovian than ever a brony, I'll admit)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I hope not!

Nope! Maybe I'll do it myself for Arachnomaly, one day!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes, long time ago, but never published it - it was a crossover with The Idealist 33. Actually, I fibbed, I heavily edited a chapter for their story, Doctor Whooves?, chapter 7, which almost makes it half mine, kinda?

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Oh, wow, let's see, there are so many... NaruHina ? Though I always had a spot for NaruIno? In RWBY, Dragonslayer, just for the fics I've read. Peter Parker x Kitty Pryde, just because of the Ultimate Comics, but PeterxMJ for life.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Well, "Spider-Man Must Not Ruin the Future" is an old project, Spectacular Spider-Man crossover with X-Men: Evolution, trying to integrate both realities in one story.

Also an untitled story where the six original Mighty Morphing Power Rangers get saved by the arrival of Black Dino Thunder Ranger, hilarity and feelings ensue (those who know, will understand the potential!)

16. What are your writing strengths?

I've been told that, when I get the character, I REEALLY get them. Like,

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

If I feel the chapter needs to be short, it will be short. Sometimes, I can get too concise for my own good.

Also mispeling, but I've been getting better, I think.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I'm always writing in another language, but I've been venturing on writing a character who communicates mostly in ASL.

19. First Fandom you wrote for?

Doctor Who!

Tie for Justice-Whimey , Arachnomaly and Charades 4 6, actually!

I've had this in my mind since October, when you had Spidey describe Bruce as a pincushion; great imagery, as it stuck with me 6 months later!

The suit design is the authors (awesome, right?), but I did add some lines running down the blue bits, based on the insomniac suit. The knives are ones Talons have strapped to their chest in some designs, and I used those instead of their classic longer daggers because I didn't want to torture poor Bruce. Or Alfred, for that matter, since he'd be the one stitching him up. Sadly, I couldn't fit the gargoyle, because my sketchbook is only so big, but wouldn't that have been cool to include?

Anyways, hope this makes your day, and thanks for sharing your fic! It's a very fun read.

As a writer I recommend: denial, if you try hard enough with other fics, other fandoms, you might forget the original fic you loved so much and enjoy it again at another date.

Or write your own story, that worked for me.

When you’ve read every fic in that once specific niche trope that you really like and now you’re only option is to write it 😭😭😭😭
