Degel's appearance looks like hes as cold as camus.... at first

but the more you know , nope, he's not as emotionally constipated like camus is, he's pretty expressive for an aquarius.

the moment unity shows up, the moment he thaws (literally, degel is french for thawing, it's even noted in his gaiden)

it looks like kardia is the one who obeys him, as he notes "only this time I will listen to you"meaning normally it's the other way around, kardia who listens to degel.

Noteworthy that in either cases, he was constantly wavering, affected to how personal the fights are to him (both unity and krest) , he's the first to lost his shit when pandora seemingly killed unity when ironically kardia is more consistent in his feelings, be either boredom or pleasure, when degel, again, is the one who lost his shit (even if briefly, noteworthy that kardia is the ne who called him out on that) and goes through the five stages of grief in his fight due to how personal it is to him, to fight his master first and later his childhood friend, friend in same path of study. He actually parallels Hyoga more than Camus himself, despite his design. While he clearly hold Seraphian in high regard, from how he saw her, from how he called her "Lady Seraphina" but directly called Unity by name, it is likely it's more because of closeness than disrespect, as he still remind Unity he shouldn't do this as the Lord's son. Regardless of the lack of honorific used with Unity, he obviously see both siblings in high regards, hold them very, very, very dearly, not only he can barely keep his shit straight with Unity, but also, chose to die with Seraphina. (other than Dohko tried it with Kagaho, keyword tried, and gemini twins also does it, you would think teshirogi do have a thing for together in death trope)

As Krest put it, he's actually sensitive. he cried not only when fighting unity, but also when he carried seraphina from garnet's mansion

He's also surprisingly playful, shown as he winked to Flourite, he's also shown to agitate Aspros, poking where it greatly matters for the older gemini, first is the twin's similarity (or better said, either twin are offended when people imply they are NOT similar) and the second is his ambition to be pope. He's not being insensitive, he's intentionally pokes Aspros where it hurts. Considering he can go out of his way to avoid Aspros, him not only approaching Defteros but also knows where it hurts for Aspros shows that...

Pegasus Seiya

Bisexual — with a preference for men

Gender Fluid (She/He/They) — wears a mask that flows towards the feminine

He has ADD, and, of the group, he is the one least impacted by PTSD

Currently, he gets along well with Shaina — She was the one who gave him the mask

He has a photograph of Camus and Isaak on the wall of the Aquarius Temple — he's not completely over it, but he's gotten used to the pain

He's still blind, but it doesn't even affect him anymore

He and Shunrei are almost married — they lived together (until he went to the Libra Temple) and have two children

Genbu calls him "Rapunzel" — in the original story Rapunzel's prince becomes blind lol

Phoenix Ikki

has hallucinations because of PTSD — sometimes has violent reactions

He dates Seiya — and doesn't understand why no one notices, why the two never let go of each other and he stays more at the Sagittarius Temple than at Leo's

He wears makeup and a skirt when no one is looking — only Shun and Seiya know and they even do his makeup

He asks Shiryu for a lot of advice — Ikki is very insecure when making decisions

He likes birds — he draws birds and gives the drawings to Seiya

He gets along very well with Kanon, the two have many tastes in common — they like the same films, series and video games

He listens to Shakira — loves Estoy Aquí

He still doesn't know that it was Hyoga who organized his dates with Seiya

It's the Buddy for April 22nd! He's wearing the Capricorn Cloth (being a capricorn himself) of the classic Masami Kurumada manga Saint Seiya.

I loved Saint Seiya. I have all the paperbacks, even, I liked it when I was a kid. It's an interesting manga, in that it doesn't make much sense in retrospect, but when you're reading it, you're more interested in the beat of the plot than in the big picture.

The plot, as I understand, is that this rich girl Saori is the reincarnation of the goddess Athena, so her dad arranged for ten boys to get trained to be her protectors (the saints), wearing bronze armors based on traditional constellations. Then they get into a martial arts tournment to win an actual gold cloth, but complications start making it so they need to stop fighting amongst themselves, and start fighting actual bad guys.

In a way, it's a very toyetic story - each character has their own unique armor (or cloth) which is fits both them, and can be assembled to resemble its constellation, so kids had a lot of expensive toys to collect. And since the golden cloths (belonging to the strongest saints) are based on the twelve zodiac signs, kids already have a favorite character picked out for them.

Me, I'm an Aquarius, so my favorite was Aquarius Camus. The one with the ice powers. He also won a Literature Nobel, you know. But I never related to him, really. He's an ice guy, which is cool I guess, but, not the power I'd choose.

The manga's also very camp. The art's really old-fashioned, looking almost like sometihng from Tatsuo Yoshida's generation. Not a lot of attention is paid to proportions and depth, and the fight scenes are not dynamic. But that's one of the things I like about it, to be honest. It feels like there's a closer dialog between the artist and the reader when the art is so direct. It's the opposite of something like the manga version of One-Punch Man, for instance.

And the designs of the cloths, characters and enemies is also pretty unique, it's got that simplified design quality of eighties manga that's not as popular anymore.

One aspect that Saint Seiya, like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, isn't shy about is the gay subtext regarding some characters... it's most obvious with Andromeda Shun and Pisces Aphrodite, but also Virgo Shaka, Aries Mu... it's an intentional aspect of the story, but when me and my friends were kids watching it, we thought it was pretty "gross".

Even though it doesn't really make sense and it's pretty much designed to appeal to kids' love of shiny stuff and fight scenes, Saint Seiya is one of my favorite franchises. I'll be honest, I didn't know much about greek mythology when I first watched the anime, so I assumed a lot of the stuff Kurumada made up was actual part of ancient Greek myth. Still makes no sense why Capricorn Shura had the power of Excalibur, though... what does Excalibur have to do with Capricorn? Should be a Draco thing, or even Ursa Major...

Now with your TT Pegasus AU I laugh imagining the face Mu made when he found out about the Pegasus Saints of the past (Possibly because the Bronze Saints go to Jamir to have their Cloths repaired)

Before going to the Sanctuary, the assembled group appears at Mu's door so he can repair the cloth and ensure that it is in perfect condition. (It's been a while since Taurus and Aquarius received a thorough examination)

So from not having visitors Mu now has about twenty people at his door, a notice would have been good for him (looking at you Dohko)

It's strange to have so many people around after years of isolating himself, but now he is informed of what was going on and understand the strange streaks of cosmos he felt.

Mu may already know Tenma from Shion stories but it is a surprise to see him alive and in addition to the fact that there are several other people each with a Pegasus cloth.

Finding out that time travel and reincarnation (other than Athena) is possible is a shock.

Aldebaran and Camus are updating him on the situation at the Sanctuary and everything that has happened (including the awakening of Poseidon or the official alliance with him)

So once the cloths have been repaired, Mu joins the group prepared to fight if necessary since they do not know what state the Sanctuary may currently be in.

Aleksandros is convinced that Tiberius or Herve has become the new Patriarch. That or Zeus has awakened in Aioria's body and started a massacre.

what was the last straw that made you finally block that annoying person? Personally I use block button freely when I see accounts with bad vibes, bad behaviour, especially they are insulting someone with nasty swears and those who put others under the bus for drama. But there was a guy who attacked a ship for a sake of promoting his own art which he reposted (the art was made 2 years ago), after finding out his other horrible antics and allegations and how he throws others under the bus like it is his breakfast, I blocked him, he was really annoying.

worst discord server and why? well. here we go. basically I was friends with one of the admin, had a good time in the server for 1 year and half, after sharing my vent on my personal twitter, they scolding me, dropped me from the proofreader of their fan translation project because I said I couldn't do Chapter 3 at the time. They didn't even communicate that, in fact they got someone to be proofreader without telling me. They justify it by saying my mental health was bad and gaslight and isolating me further until I could not take it anymore, I lashed out. I apologise but the server was so tense that I got paranoid, anxious and got trust issues. I became inactive in that server on 1st January. I tried to reconcile and explain myself to the admin about my actions and I was sorry I was, but they send a crazy google document to me being passive aggressive and absolutely rude, with no respect or regard to my feelings whatsoever after I got over the shock and took some time to realise it wasn't worth explaining myself. the end. But this year I found two amazing servers that helped me to get better mental wise and I'm much happier in 2024 than 2023.

what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them? emmmm, I don't think that kind of thing happened to me so far because I don't hate character, I am mostly indifferent to some of them, I just see the fans playing up the antics as they are an active force compare to the character which is a passive tool to be used. But I will say that the opposite does happen to me, my interest in characters, especially interacting with others civilly or positively or both, grew well and I love creating headcanons about them or even fics hehe.

worst part of fanon the debate of the who is the most powerful saint, especially the gold saint is overdone. Camus being an abusive parent and most people ran with it, I don't personally like that headcanon because that is used to overhating the aquarius. and I think that is it really.
