Is the next Apple Watch Series 3 switching to glass-film touch display?

With rumors of the third generation Apple Watch to be released later this year, the internet is already leaking different theories of what the next generation will feature. One of the claims is that the Apple Watch Series 3 will use a different display technology with shipments starting in the second half of 2017. Apple will look to use glass-film in place for the new Apple Watch and have Taiwan and Hong Kong factories produce the glass film touch panels, with shipments to be sent in the second half of 2017. Other claims that can make the third generation the “third time’s a charm” is improved battery life which could be needed for cellular connectivity, sleep tracking, or even an always-on display solution.
