hello, I’m trying to put together a detailed archive post about the different ships of welcome home since (for the most part) there is little agreement on ship names. if you don’t mind, what ship names do you use for any of the wh ships or what are ship names you’ve seen or heard about? this is quite literally for research purposes haha.

interesting! i don't keep up with WH ship names much, mostly bc i have a hard time memorizing "what's the prettiest way we can combine these two characters' Central Motifs"-type names. back in my day we put their names in a blender and we LIKED IT (/lh)

anyways off the top of my head:

i use "franklydear" for frank/eddie, which seems to be Decently popular, but i've also seen "butterfly mail" get used a lot.

i've literally never seen anything but "popstar" be used for poppy/sally. before that name got popular, i Used to call it soppy, but it's probably a good thing that never caught on lol

on a similar note, barnaby/howdy has always been "laughingstock" to me.

i Personally use "barnwally" for barnaby/wally, but "wallaby" seems to be the more popular choice By Far. which makes perfect sense imo, i just worry about the hypothetical user who's just trying to find stuff about their favorite animal, the wallaby.

i only ever saw "starflower" for sally/julie

"julaby" for barnaby/julie which i'm Pretty sure is just one artist's rarepair but that artist is really good so i feel obligated to acknowledge the ship

wally/home is a ship for me and like 2 other people as far as i'm aware bc So much about their relationship is still up for interpretation. but honestly i just call it wallyhome.

Among his stops within the city, one he had not mentioned to Isolde was the tailors. She was due in little under a month, and while he thought she looked beautiful still, she had been feeling... large. Granted her belly had doubled in size the last few months, that did tend to happen during pregnancy!

She missed her old clothes, her leathers, and especially her lace. Admittedly he rather missed her lace as well, but knew that in time she'd be back within it all. Still, he figured a nice surprise was in order. Something that wasnt edible and coated in frosting .

Setting his bags down as he entered the shop, the swordsman was just heading to the counter when a display of lace made an appearance-- in the shape of Kallie!!!

Lochlan returned the deer in headlights look with one of his own, freezing in place after a truly unfortunate once over of the younger blond.

"K-Kallie!" He finally blurted out, shaking himself out of stasis to swiftly cover his eyes with his arm, spinning around to face the door. "What are yo-- By the Gods... is... is the Tailor in? Wh-where's The tailor??"

He gave a hard swallow and coughed. "Err... you look like nice?"

'Why do I walk into these things ?!'

The tailor shop had been slow and the owner had allowed the stablehand her freedom in the back. Since the tailor trusted and knew Kallie, she slipped out to grab a bite saying she would be back in ten.

The outfit was paid for from months of setting aside what extra tips she made. A dream to own lace beyond cotton and the typical cheap stuff was becoming a reality.

Kallie had hoped she was the only one in the store as she posed before the mirror.  With both arms, she lifted up her wild hair giving the look a one over.  A heavy sigh was given as she felt perfect in the tiny black undies, yet no way she would find a reason to wear it.

In her personal modeling, she did not hear the door open or the man walk inside.  Maybe to search for an outfit for his interest. 

Thinking the person who came in was her tailor friend Kallie stepped out to show it off.  “It is just as I had dreamed of it being…”  She froze as her eyes landed on Lochlan.  He was offered a deer in the headlights stare as she forgot how to move or react from that point forward.
