HOW CAN YOU DRAW HANDS

the answer is many creepy selfies of my own hands, desperation, and a pinch of pretty-hands-fetish. In fact I think I am objectively quite terrible at drawing hands because I rely on my own reference photos so much haha

so yes. anytime there are hands in my drawings theres like an 80% chance its modelled after my own hands LOL

I’ve come for the good stuff

What’s up with Mafia Jamil? Does his personality kinda change from the original? I am r e a d y

Mafia Jamil is older, in his 20s. Being a bodyguard and second in command for Kalim, he is ruthless to an extent.

Depending on which version of Kalim I'll use, Jamil will be different. But I won't say too much until I have mafia Kalim designed.

So be aware that the lore might change in the future

Mafia Jamil bottles his emotions a lot. There's a lot of conflict within him. He would've killed a lot of people, as is he ordered to. Jamil would just shove all of the nasty feelings down his own throat, forcing himself to chew and swallow his own actions.

He is tired in a sense for being in this business for so long. He has taken the lives of fathers, brothers, sons, even mothers, all because he is ordered to. It's what he has been trained to do so all his life. Follow the orders and you won't get hurt. Do the mission correctly and you'll live another day.

There's a part of him that wants to escape. But it is always dragged back with his more strict way of thinking.

There was never a path of happiness for him, despite him desperately wanting it, clinging to that warmth. The day he was born, it was already decided he would go into this business. When he was younger, he always thought of the possibilities of loving a normal life, being surrounded by supportive parents, friends and peers. But he never thinks about it anymore because there's no use.

Mafia Jamil has killed people and expects his death to be the same. Forgotten and unknown, killed by someone else more ruthless and "gone" than him.

Though outwardly, he seems confident and playful I would say.

HOLY CRAP I SOMEHOW MANAGED TO DO THIS. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-

Honestly, it was thanks to me doing the colouring and the lineart before that I managed to do this. Even then my back still hurts LOL.

As for the music, I can’t remember how I even do this. Seriously. It’s been months since I’ve finished this song (and I mean 2+ months). So, they’ll be no concept track lollllllllllllllll

Imagery and Ideas from Listening to Clematis:

First of all, I can imagine this music playing when you first meet Epel. It’s very magical and ethereal, yes, but it feels like Epel is on a strict pattern here. 

This is the first track to not have much percussion, and it shows. No action, nothing upbeat or as heart-racing...just still. It’s almost perfectly orchestrated. And as one of my buddies call it - it’s too tame for Epel. 

And when the climax is reached at 1:15, it’s as if he’s trying to rebel against the track. Trying to navigate his way out of the song, out of this ‘fantasy world’. 

I mean, it does sound fantasy, or into the woods kind of thing. 

TWSTxDAL Plot - Continuation!

Note: This is a snippet of Epel’s introduction to MC. This may not be revealed in the finalized plot. Take it as a teaser, if you will.

Teardrops danced and painted the stormy, raven sky. A blast of thunder echoed along the water fountain, pattering gently on your orange umbrella.

It had been too long since you left your house, your skin getting pale in colour and your lips starting to crack. For days, you felt a sense of dread and emptiness clouding your mind, your soul growing tired and lethargic.

But thanks to this new Spirit called Rook, you could finally feel a sense of hope. You were frustrated, so tired of sitting in a bed; as the doctors constantly searched for answers to your sickness. You didn’t want to be bedridden, but you wanted to be alive. To be full of life again.

Unlike the last time, you decided to go alone. No Spirits accompanying you, nobody to help you. It was rash - sure - but you were tired of the guilt, the emotional pain. You felt the feeling consume you, the stress eating you up inside like a poison. This seething, writhing pain was enough to burn your heart for days.

You coughed in your already wet tissue, as you held your purple umbrella. 

It was 12:00 AM. Just like Rook said, you were here, on the dot. No friends, no Spirits. 

Just you.

You hummed to yourself, eager to pass the time. Taking deep breaths, you shook your umbrella, praying for a miracle.

Suddenly, a Spirit glowed brightly in the sky; the rain relishing in his slim, petite figure. Its ethereal, mauve locks glowed; embellishing its cute, adorable face. The Spirit’s eyes were closed, as if trying to calm themselves down. They posed rigidly, trying to look elegant and poised as possible. Their pose was similar to Vil’s, trying to imitate Vil’s perfect figure. 

But was too imperfect, and their body too shaky. It was as if they were ready to break, ready to collapse. 

Just like you.

“...About...t-time..”

They walked over to you, their eyes darting across the entire park. It seemed as though they wanted to be as secretive as possible.

Or, they were a bit shy to have eye contact. You couldn’t tell.

After a few moments of silence, they waved. sending you a short closed-eye smile.

“Hello...” They muttered shyly, their shoulders relaxing slightly. “I believe you are Y/N...?”

“...T-T-That’s the name.” You uttered back, a hint of anger in your voice. 

You really couldn’t be bothered with the introductions right now.

Phantom Thief F Prompt!

I shall come steal the "Diamond of Happiness."

(Y/N) sighs as she looks over at her partner in crime. The young gent fiddled with his Polaroid camera that hung around his neck. (Y/N) takes her eyes away from Yuu, she scans the area of the boarding gates. She watches a few passengers besides her and Yuu.

The Auctioneer ran passed by them. His light lavender hair was messy as his posh white suit was ruffled. He stares at his fancy watch with worry. A small yawn was heard a few steps away from her. They were a Mechanic, from what (Y/N) could see.

Bright blue firey ran across his back. He seemed a bit weary of his surroundings, his posture looking very meekly and timid like a mouse. A whistle could be heard loud and clear from behind her. Shocking the Yuu and herself. The whistle blower was a male Police Officer, covered in uniform from head to toe.

His dark blue locks barely peeking from his hat, his teal eyes cold and watchful. Next to him was a odd, sickly business man. Who passed right by him. Laughter and gleeful shouts fill the air as two young men walk with the crowed. The Mafia is here as well? Two men looked exactly alike, but their clothes and voices could tell them apart easily. One of two was shouting and the other was quiet. Though they both had disturbing smiles on their faces.

Then, there was herself and Yuu, another two passengers that would go on the ship. (Y/N) was a simple Detective, who was assigned to protect a Newbie Journalist. Also known as Yuu, a person who wanted to uncover Phantom thief F. The two had became close friends from working on numerous task that their boss would give them. Yet the two individuals always managed to finish each task assigned to them.

Once aboard the ship, the two meet more interesting characters. The Magician does a card trick that soon turns to a dove flying from nowhere. His bright eyes and light red hair being shined on from above the stage. The policeman from before looks tense with rigorous caution? The mafia pair smile at him with dangerous glints in their eyes.

The Politician they had sat with spilled his wine. His green eyes clearly showing tiredness. The redhead Doctor besides him tells him to get his medicine. Clicking his tongue with distaste. A few seats behind them was a the famous Actor, Vil. He chatted pleasantly with a hard working Waiter.

The waiter had dirty blond hair and droopy eyes, which sometimes sparkle when the actor spoke up. The colorful cast of the dice has finally arrived. But who is Phantom Thief F..?

Who has the best Overblot form in your opinion and why 😙?

It's either a pick between Azul and Riddle. I'm still a sucker for Alice in the Wonderland vibes, so Riddles overblot form (no matter how painful it is to draw) was very cool! The use of cards, roses, the use of black and red, etc... Felt like it fit well together! His boots kinda remind me of knight armour for some reason.

Azul's OB form was the first time we seen him in his true form. I like the corals growing on his shoulders, and his eyes are really cool too! I also like how he has Ariel's necklace, the one from Ursula's contract, I thought that was a nice detail.

Though I'm really excited for Vil's, Idia's (especially), and Malleus's OB forms (if it does happen).

Begonia here was kind of hard, but overall it was a lot easier than Agapanthus fOR SURE.  

In conclusion, I am extremely EXCITED and ECSTATIC to release Begonia! Thank you for listening as well, and stay tuned!

The Concept of the Track - Begonia:

In the beginning it was a simple, scrapped draft that was lying in the corner while the previous song, Agapanthus was being edited to completion. 

When I first opened the music file, it did feel kind of Rook-like but it didn’t hit me like a truck for this song. It was boring, cringe, catchy...but annoyingly catchy in a way. It didn’t feel like the Rook we know and love - so I decided to do another one instead.

For Rook he’s known as enigmatic and eccentric (well in my opinion), so I definitely wanted his theme to sound that way. But if I’m going to be honest here - the whole theme sounds jumbled up.

The theme sounds like a tiring, never-ending journey of adrenaline rush...except the ending is rather unexpected! I never expected the guitar to be even in the last bits of music there but...it somehow did. (:’)))))))

To summarize, Begonia is an amazing track for Rook and for my ears. Not a bop, but it works for me (lol). I hope it sounds great to your eyes too, oh great reader ( ╰(´꒳`)╯).

Imagery and Ideas From Listening to Begonia:

In the beginning I imagine Rook bowing to Vil amusingly, lowering his hat while looking sus.

Also I imagine him in game mode using multiple arrows to hit his opponent (you) and Vil sometimes helping him by adding poison to the arrows.

That’s it lol

TWSTxDAL Plot - Continuation!

Warning - long reading ahead!

Note: This is not a full continuation of the story in Agapanthus to avoid spoilers. These can be consider teasers of the upcoming story.

A mysterious figure laid above the roof of the glamorous villa, their hands twirling a freshly-bloomed Begonia. Its sapphire petals laid bare to unwithered skin - basked with warm, welcoming rays of the evening sun. Emerald eyes fixated on the meticulous veins of the petal, before subtly shifting its glance to the person next to him. “Good afternoon, Vil.” “Same to you, Rook.” His light, blonde curls bounced as he spoke. “May I ask why you had to call me on top of the roof?” Rook roared with laughter. “Roi de Poison, I want to reconsider the contest that has commenced two weeks ago.” “If it has something to do with that Invidaé potato and those Spirits, I’m not allowing them to join for VDCI.” “Dearest Vil, I understand that they may be a disadvantage...but maybe if you reflect carefully and ponder on the subject - this could be the most fantastic opportunity yet.” Breathless silence befell the two, as Rook’s words sunk deeply into his thoughts. “An opportunity?” Vil huffed in wry amusement. “Explain how conjuring unstable in one place can be considered an opportunity.” “That’s the thing, *mon ange. You want to be even more successful and modern, right? If we bring the Spirits on our side, then maybe the whole world will express a change of heart.” “Rook...we can’t do that - it’s not time yet.”His lavender eyes shifted to tile roofs, glaring at it.“Failing to properly prepare for the worst, is like begging for disaster and danger.” “*Mon bégonia bleu...” His scarred, veined hands wrapped around the blonde’s unblemished, lily-white ones. Emerald and lavender met one another, their gaze unwavering and sparkling in the apricot sun. “We never know what the future may hold.” His grip tightened, unwilling to let go. Moments later, Rook’s hands gently moved a strand out of Vil’s face; before planting his hair with the begonia. “I understand that you may not be ready. I will wait with you, but if there’s a time to begin - it is now.” Instantly, Vil pulled away and stood up hastily. “Enough of the dramatics, we've arranged an appointment in the next hour.” He uttered before turning his back to the golden-haired being. “Meantime, I’ll consider it. Also, Rook - don’t touch my face. I put my life’s work into it.” A radiant smile and chuckle escaped his lips. “Apologies, Vil.” With speed, Rook descended smoothly to the ground of the villa before catching a slightly trembled Vil in his hold. Forcefully, Vil sped inside the front door while Rook simply followed after, all while maintaining an enthusiastic smile on his face.

Oh you changed your background colour! What's the story behind it?

Thank you for noticing!

I sketched it a while back but thought it would be fitting for the spooky theme. I wanted to give a menacing vibe. It was first supposed to be an icon but this current one already felt halloween-y (due to its purple orange colors), so I used it as a background which felt better.

I might draw another one with the same colors but different subjects to change it a little.

The backgrounds might change again. I'm trying to experiment with the themes and it's kinda fun!

On another note, I really like horror but at the same time I can't handle it. It's like spicy food in a way!
