13 October 2020: Blessed 103rd Anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal. 🙏💐🙏 Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Amen. 🙏💐🙏 Today is the 103rd Commemoration of the 6th and Last Apparation of Our Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima on October 13, 1917: Most Holy Virgin, who has deigned to come to Fatima to reveal to the three little shepherds the treasures of graces hidden in the recitation of the Rosary, inspire our hearts with sincere love of this devotion. By meditating on the mysteries of our redemption that are recalled in your Rosary, may we gather the fruits contained therein and obtain the conversion of sinners, the conversion of Russia, the Peace of Christ for the world, and this favor that I so earnestly seek of you in this novena.... Amen. In the spring and summer of 1916, nine-year-old Lúcia Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto were herding sheep at the Cova da Iria near their home village of Fátima, Portugal. They claimed to have experienced the visitation of an angel on three occasions. The angel, who identified himself as "The Angel of Peace", taught them prayers, to make sacrifices, and to spend time in adoration of the Lord. The three children claimed to have experienced in total six apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary between 13 May and 13 October 1917. John Paul II credited Our Lady of Fátima with saving his life following an assassination attempt on the Feast of Our Lady of Fátima, 1981. He donated the bullet that wounded him to the Roman Catholic sanctuary at Fátima and it was placed in the crown of the Virgin's statue.
