Alright quick bonus tidbit before I lose it in the sands of slumber:

In my head (and in my notes those too), I have each character listed by their role and their number within that role. For example, the mysterious Otto can also be called "Utility 3", since they're the third Utility character after Xenir and Sorsier. This is mostly just so I have something to reference vague concepts by as I'm making the fourth round of characters for each role, which is something I'm coming startlingly close to reaching.

The fourth Control character I've actually had sorted for a while now, at least in terms of name and basic design, but have struggled with in terms of kit. Their main weapon (and the only ability that's stuck through multiple iterations) is a sticky bomb launcher that shoots gel-like explosives that can be detonated remotely.

And this is Control character 4... C... 4... C4.

Cometcare AU/frosty angst ramblings :3

ok kind of an au? basically ive been thinking about what cometcare will be like if any of the parents doesn't survive. the first one ive been thinking about is if just doom dies and of course i had to make this about frosty

^ first drawing i did based on this concept. maybe ill do an alternate version based on what if polly dies and doom doesnt another time

in this universe wendy (who doesnt go by his nickname anymore) is the youngest and doesnt have anyone relying on them, so she doesn't feel the need to act as positive and happy as in cometcare. basically they are just very numb and tired similar to canon polly.. his siblings constantly arguing with eachother doesn't help!!

personally my interpretation of regular frosty and unis dynamic is a little different than canon. i find it kind of hard to believe uni is badly coping and lying to herself about pups trauma without having some kind of unhealthy ideas about stuff. on her toyhouse it says he's trying to get frosty to see that "he has their own special kind of magic, caring about things and other people" when he's also very clearly stated to struggle with apathy, which makes me think unis advice is often less than helpful and wendy finds it pretty useless and annoying.

as for polly i think the resentment he usually feels towards it is a lot less subtle. barry hasn't come close to being helpful either.

i think sly and wendy could be closer in this au.. fen would try to help them even if she has no idea how. to him it feels a lot more genuine than when their parents try to talk to her and he appreciates fen a lot. ik sly isnt out to anyone but i like to think here wendy would be one of the first people she would come out to.. the sisters ever

ally and frosty have literally no canon dynamic (kit apparently caught them when his wings first froze up and i believe thats their only interaction) but i think they were close when they were little kids. ally feels terrible about wendy being so depressed and numb now but she doesnt know how to help.

i couldnt not mention plants!! wendy usually doesnt have the energy for baking anymore but she still takes care of plants. despite usually not being talkative they will ramble for ages about them if given the chance !!

also since while drawing these i joked about this being emo wendy .

assuming carrie is still around here and eve doesn't exist norma would probably hang out with wendy sometimes instead! theyre so cool. theyre awesome

OC-tober 2024 - Days 5 to 10

Decided that im gonna post every 10 days intead of every week, so that it lines up better

Day 5: Hair up - Gisel is my Lethal League Blaze OC, so had to do something related in termes of pose, so a throw it is!

Day 6: Neglected OC - I havent even done anything with Sakura Runner since i created the design :/

Day 7: Happy memory - Treat and Trick's 9th birthday :D

Day 8: Formal wear - Noticed that Kivot didnt even have a toyhouse set up, so i made some pixel art for this day for his pfp

Day 9: Idol/Band AU - So. I searched up band instruments and picked the first one with a cool name, and that ended up being the bassoon. I had literally not even heard of it before drawing it, and only actually saw what it sounded like AFTER drawing it (it apparently did NOT sound like a didgeridoo like i thought). Chalk's design in this one is based off of a king cheetah this time around :D

Day 10: Hero turned villan - Lammy isnt really a hero, but he is one of the nicest OCs i have, so zombot time it is!

yes I do ^^ My main Transformers S/I is named Overload.

In the Prime universe, Shockwave and I meet a pretty long time before the war, with me initially being an assistant, taking notes during experiments and helping him as needed. Later, I continue my studies in Cybertronian biology and become a partner in science to Shockwave rather instead of an assistant.

We end up courting awhile after I become his partner in science and shortly after that become Conjunx; it's rather straight-forward for us, especially Shockwave. (He is attracted to me and has romantic feelings, therefore, it is only logical for us to court one another and eventually become Conjunx if that attraction develops.)

I am specifically very interested in the fauna of both Cybertron and other planets, leading me to studying Earth as they have a wide variety of fauna. I pick up a nickname for Shockwave here ("Tiger"). Once the war begins, while I would rather stay neutral, I end up following Shockwave and becoming a Decepticon.

During the events of season 3, Shockwave returns to fetch me from Cybertron; I had been out exploring space at the time when Knock Out and the Vehicons found him. He returns with me and as we're fairly private about our relationship, I'm simply his "partner of science" to those who don't know us well. Though it becomes more apparent from our gentle affection that there happens to be chemistry between us (heh).

I'm also friends with the other Decepticons, Knock Out and Breakdown included! ^^ I'm also friends with their partner, Skysoul, who is a Maximal that transformers into a wolf. (Skysoul is an OC from... probably 2011? If I ever get around to adding Knock Out and Breakdown as F/Os she will likely become an S/I. I haven't watched Beast Wars yet so I'm not super familiar with how Maximals work but baby me thought wolves and Transformers were cool so why not combine them?)

Uhhh what else... after the events of the movie, we become reclusive on Cybertron and move into one of Shockwave's secret laboratories. Eventually, after seeing how Knock Out, Breakdown, and Skysoul have been accepted as Autobots, we begin a polite but tense relationship with the Autobots, no longer being Decepticons but neutral instead.

In my own headcanon for the Prime universe, sometimes Conjunx are chosen to raise a Cybertronian as their own, and they will be called to the Well of Allsparks where their new "child" will be created. Usually the child will happen to match their caregivers as well; in our case, we are given Blastoff. I don't have a reference for her yet but she's slightly taller than Shockwave and has some sort of plane alt-mode. Also, she ends up with a pretty strong crush on Smokescreen (and later in a relationship with both him and Soundwave once Soundwave is released/they get to know him better.)

okay i have 2 questions one is about ccs and the other is one i'm tacking on as an excuse which is: does toyhouse work for worldbuilding and stuff or is it just characters anyway the ccs question is that if you somehow forgot everything about ccs and had the full game appear out of thin air which ending would you do first

OK the thing about toyhouse is that its primarily built as a character archive but you can just submit your lore as a 'character'/do it through the literature format. its very nebulous and customisable HOWEVER this is mostly owed to the very freeform html compatibility so you do need to know some basic html to use it to its full extent i think aaaand that might be annoying. i personally really like how i get to basically build up my organisation system from the ground up but thats just me, i do recommended giving it a shot at least

ccs one. i honestly think id end up going for hydra just because like. the stipulation of letting the train continue to exist through a tunnel system sounds cool as fuck to me and its like. a far easier far more clear cut compromise than something like the perfect ending. i precisely built this ending to be like the 'way too good to be true' one where everything apparently falls into place overnight but GUESS WHAT in the end its arguably the ending where circumstances are the worst. if i literally didnt write it myself i think id just blindly go through with it just because it seems so correct at first lol

Oc? Infodump

I had this like all typed out on my phone and then accidentally closed Tumblr so now I'm doing it from my computer which is why I'm answering this later instead of when I woke up a few hours ago but YAY :DDDDDDDDDDD

So I've got 10 OCs! 11 if you count my sona, but they don't really have a story they belong to. Sky observes the other characters and record what happens which are what turn into my stories. The first 7 of these are from the same story and the other three are for a spin-off that exists in the same world. I'll also be reblogging this to my OC blog @skyllion-art-and-ocs because the links for my projects are broken and this will have to do until I get my Toyhouse page up. Not gonna say everything because I do plan on writing stories about them. All of them are trans and some flavor of queer

Jaxon (xe/xim): A minor eldritch being (I usually call xim a demon but I feel like this is a more accurate term) with amnesia! Xe woke up in a burning city and feels like xe caused it since xe's the only one left. After wandering around a bit, xe came across the only other survivor: a child named Bailey. Xe informally adopted her and they went off to Portland OR. There, Jaxon meets Robin and Holmes and falls in love with both of them. Xe has the ability to make copies of objects as long as they're a certain distance nearby. Oh, and possibly time manipulation powers? At least xe thinks that because they're all stuck in a time loop that resets whenever the world ends. Only xe and one other character remember the prior loops.

Bailey (she/her): A 7 year old girl. I don't know much about her backstory yet except that her parents started neglecting her later in life, choosing work over her. She started realizing this a couple months after getting sent to summer camp. When she returns, she finds everything in ruins and meets Jaxon. Like I said, they move out west. She has dyslexia and loves baking. She always tries to act happy around others. At least until she gets older but I'm getting ahead of myself

Robin (she/they): They're a teaching assistant! She specializes in special ed, which is how they met Bailey and in turn Jaxon. They're a bit of a nerd like their entire house is decorated in anime and video game merch and a hopeless romantic. This doesn't serve them well in some timelines.

Holmes (he/him): Originally supposed to be a one-off that I ended up loving too much. He's a serious, quiet, and a bit uptight man. He works at a coffee shop alongside Jaxon. He loves mystery novels and shows, but adventures themselves are super stressful. The most level-headed and calm of him and his partners. He's also a merman but keeps this a secret.

Charles (no pronouns; either called Charles and sometimes Chuck): Apparently Charles is hot according to my friends despite being an absolute scumbag. This is the other character who knows about the time loops. Charles is another minor eldritch being and constantly trying to murder everyone. However, Charles doesn't have a body which makes this difficult. No one can see Charles either except for Jaxon and anyone's mind that Charles has managed to infiltrate. Charles does have a human form and goes by Chuck in it, but the human form doesn't make an appearance until the very end of Part 1 and as a cameo in my other story. Charles is extremely nihilistic, seeing others as mere ants and that nothing bad could happen if killed.

Adrienne (fae/faer): Surprise surprise another minor eldritch being. Fae doesn't appear until the second part when Bailey is 17, but fae's her bff then. Eldritch beings can shapeshift to some extent, but Adrienne's main power is shapeshifting and can do more than others. It's better to call it imitation because fae can mimic others' appearances and voices to such a high degree that fae could pass as them as long as fae didn't slip up in mannerisms.

Etienne (he/ve): This guy actually is a demon and also Adrienne's half-brother! Oh, and the son of Charles! Yaayyy /s Anywho, he used to be a king before getting exiled and then wandered around different worlds until ve ran into Bailey and Adrienne. Ve and Adrienne don't have a good relationship. He can also do thoughtography (imprinting images onto film that show lost things or thoughts).

Shiko (he/him): A typical isekai protagonist. Bland, arrogant, overpowered, an asshole towards women- don't worry, he's dead. But because he was such a cool dude (/s), he gets to continue helping the isekai world by finding people to "send" there! Along the way, he learns the power of queer platonic relationships and how his internalized bigotry has affected him because plot twist this bitch is x-gender and aro/ace

Neil (he/him): A man who ended up possessing a truck. So he's technically a sentient truck now. Anywho, he's the guy helping Shiko with "sending" people to the isekai world by running into them! He's doing this to get back into his original body and constantly wonders if his family remembers him. He and Shiko are enemies to queer platonic partners.

Kami (any pronouns): A mysterious person who keeps thwarting Shiko and Neil's plans. Who are they? Oh, he can also turn into a crane. And is trying to bring down the king of the isekai world. I just realized I tend to make my trios with like 2 wacky characters and one serious calm straight-man and uh ze's definitely the straight-man here despite not being a man or straight.

I wanna make more OCs for that second story since it's supposed to be an isekai parody and they need a giant party. So far I have the ideas I have are a clown idol, a cross-dressing catgirl, and a strong warrior gf for Kami (the only one with a name right now: Alina)

Exalted Secret Santa Journal: 2020

Apologies for the slight delay! My journal this year is going to be pretty much the same one as last year; I was working on an additional reference but it absolutely got away from me, so I’ll give it more time and save it for next year. Without further ado:

Daia Shan- Serenity Caste Sidereal

Once just a troublesome junior bureaucrat in the halls of Yu-Shan, Daia truly gained infamy upon her selection to accompany a strike team of Exalted heroes on a mission into the depths of the worldbody of the Yozi Oramus, and her subsequent escape and return from that impossible prison, nearly a thousand years later. The experience left her profoundly changed; even now, the spite of Oramus hangs like a mantle around Daia, ensuring that the waking world she fought so hard to return to will never feel like anything more than a dream. And then, of course, there is the matter of the power she took from the Sevenfold Peacock willingly… and how that power might be changing her still.

Daia is a somewhat petite woman, belying an athletic build. She is ethnically from the Blessed Isle, with dark grey hair that she prefers to wear up, usually in a bun or a knot. Her face, which she tries but fails to keep free of stress and worry lines, is usually found bearing a smirk or an expression of dangerous faux-politeness. Her eyes bear the iconic starry blue of the Serenities caste, but are also shot through with bands of a strange prismatic iridescence. She bears a large pair of bull horns atop her head, a mutation received during her time inside the Worldbody. The nature of the power bequeathed to her by Oramus is such, though, that her very nature is beginning to blur around the edges, and it is not unusual for her day-to-day appearance to fluctuate strangely as mutations come and go like glitches. She is a bit of a fashionista, favoring blues, dramatic and sharp femme looks (she avoids ruffles and prefers sleeker outfits), and jewelry of all sorts (a lot of it). She rarely wears the same exact outfit twice, so do not feel obligated to stick to the reference- you can get creative! She wears makeup, but prefers cool colors and an understated application.

Daia’s most important accessory is her longfang, the Sevenfold Peacock’s Tailfeather. Forged from starmetal, orichalcum, and a crystalline shard of Oramic essence, the weapon contains knowledge of every martial arts technique known by every user to have ever wielded it, and seems to hunger for more to the point where its obsession has bled over into Daia herself. Even more potently, it bears deep within its core the secret to a martial art concocted by the Dragon of Not himself, whose charms grant the power to ignore the limits of impossibility at the cost of making the wielder more and more alien to the waking world. It is a temptation that Daia has drunk deep of, despite all signs pointing to that being a very bad idea. Daia sees the spear as a trophy stolen from her greatest nemesis, but it’s very possible the Yozi himself sees it as a clever snare for hubristic Sidereals. The blade of the weapon is prismatic crystal that resembles a jagged bird’s beak, the pole is jet black starmetal shot through with an orichalcum starmap of constellations, and the orichalcum pommel is fashioned to look like seven golden peacock feathers woven together into a sphere.

While her exaltation may brand Daia a chosen of the Maidens, the elder Sid is a loose cannon, an agent of Heaven in only the most general of terms. She is mercurial, theatrical, fond of causing petty chaos, and utterly disinterested in the politics of the Bureau, unless there is way for her to stir up drama. She has tendency to get ahead of herself with her schemes, and the vast majority of her ‘downfalls’ can be traced back to her own hubris. Beneath all that, she is a lonely woman who feels adrift in a world that no longer feels real to her. She’s a terrible flirt, a huge showoff (especially where martial arts are involved) and has a weak spot for dangerous women. She’s Creation’s wildest and worst gay aunt.

Side Note: Daia is partially deaf, due to an old and potent supernatural injury. She employs the use of what magic/technology she can to aid her, but relies as well on sign language and interpreters. She’s very used to it at this point.

Avenging Phoenix- Dawn Caste Solar (Formerly Ravenous Vulture Picks Clean the Bones of Creation, Dusk Caste Abyssal)

Orphaned at an early age, Phoenix was adopted by a Guild mercenary and raised as such. He spent his later mortal life as a city guard captain in Thorns, where he exalted during the fateful siege itself, disillusionment and rage at the circumstances of his death making him an easy recruit for the Mask. His path has weaved far and wide since then, a slow painful crawl from rebellion to eventual redemption; a journey that ultimately gave him a place among the saviors of Creation. Along the way, he played a role in liberating a group of orphaned children from the clutches of the Dowager, and now finds himself settling into the role of an adoptive dad to them, hanging up his metaphorical (and literal) axe and trying to live a gentler life. It’s not always easy. Violence and trauma etched in that deep doesn’t just smooth out perfectly over time. On top of that, he has impostor’s syndrome when it comes to his redemption by the Sun, and still feels uncomfortable thinking of himself as a peer to the other members of the Solar Host. Still, as long as his soul is on this side of Lethe, he is determined to fight against the Void- not because he considers himself antithesis to it, but because he has known it and survived it. And while some days it’s hard, other days it feels like, maybe, fighting against the void can be planting sunflowers for your children on a sunny spring afternoon.

Phoenix is of Western descent, very short, fat, and beefy, with warm brown skin and a round, open face.  He keeps his burgundy hair closely shaved, not fond of dealing with the mess of wavy curls it becomes when allowed to grow out. His eyes are dark brown, almost black, the outside of the iris rimmed with the faintest edge of golden yellow. His nose looks like it has been broken multiple times in the past, and never properly healed. Due to unfortunate wyld misadventures his tongue has been mutated to resemble and function like that of a frog’s, though this is only really apparent when he opens his mouth to use the damn thing. Frogs and toads are a definite motif for him in general- small, grumpy-looking, and round as they are.

Phoenix’s casual clothes tend to be simple, comfortable, loose, and in sharp contrast to his prickly combat garb. He enjoys floral patterns, and the color pink. He’s got a very ‘open hawaiian shirt and flip flops dad’ vibe, basically. He does not dress fancily unless pressed to for big occasions, and in those cases usually grudgingly follows the fashion direction of the one twisting his arm. When he’s on actual exalt business, he’s most frequently found wearing his armor; black jade full plate embellished with cruel-looking spikes, and occasionally a shaggy grey fur cloak made from the pelt of some hunting trophy. A horned skull helm, made from the skull of a nephwrack’s war-body, often completes this ensemble. The helmet is a minor artifact: when worn, it causes his eyes to glow balefully behind its sockets and makes his voice gravelly with deathly menace. He is reluctant to take it off unless he feels at ease in a situation.

Phoenix is somewhat bumbling and gruffly soft-spoken, with tendency to look more tired than he feels. Beneath this is a talent for strategic leadership and a determination that gets fiercer as the going gets tougher. On the battlefield, he is utterly terrifying when he needs to be, but would much prefer to be at home in his garden than on a battlefield these days.

His anima banner starts as burst of gold-and crimson fire that solidifies into the form of a fierce and predatory-looking phoenix, with aspects of a garda bird and a lammergeier both. It moves as he does across the battlefield, swooping and rising with each swing of his axe, its fierce eyes focused on his opponent. Additional refs:

as someone who wasn't in the know about current cham drama, i went to roelliot on toyhouse bceause they owned one of my cham designs and saw on toyhouse it was up for offers according to its profile, so i offered, and yeehaw - apparently they went IMMEDIATELY to the cham mods and tried to get me marked as a solicitor and got the mods to give me a warning. the mods also are taking the word of a literal blacklisted scammer over someone else, so thats cool i guess 🙃 a bit of a nothing burger of drama when it boils down to it, but reminds me just how much i hate the cham community, it was always full of drama and the amount of shit i was put through when i was active in it still upsets me to this day. and like, as someone who hardly posts on deviantart, how am i supposed to know a design is blacklisted, and equally how am i supposed to know a character isnt up for trades/sale when it says it is directly in its profile? fuck the community, i'm exhausted. sorry for the lil rant, just hit me at a time i'm already stressed as fuck.

Also you can see if a cham is blacklisted by checking their ML entry, it's in pretty big bold letters. On the note of offering on characters that aren't technically ufo even if their profile says they are, that's utter stupidity on the owner's part

i also have another scp that isnt on toyhouse because its not a human LMAO. i forgot the name i give it exactly but it's basically a door the just apparently spawned in the site and when people look at it or even think about it they loose memory and the longer you're subjected to the door and the more you think / look at it the worse the memory lapses get.

i really like the idea of things that make you lose memory, its both a fear of mine and something i struggle with but the trope is just so good??
