“Levioso!”

Diana’s voice was filled with pure rage when she directed the levitation charm at an Ashwinder foot soldier standing before her. It was a spur of the moment decision, dangerously unplanned and reckless.

It did not matter to Diana, though. She could deal with the consequences of her brash decision later like she always did. She watched with fury as the charm lifted the Ashwinder a few feet off the ground.

“Put me down, you foolish child!” screeched the man as he wobbled his limbs clumsily, absolutely mortified that a mere teen had caught him off his guard. Diana remained unperturbed by his request, however, as her blue eyes glared at him piercingly.

“I said, put me—“

“Glacius!”

A ray of magic hit the Ashwinder instantaneously, and a layer of thin ice encapsulated him, his angry demands reduced to frozen silence. Diana’s intense gaze never left the criminal when she closed the distance between them, and he could only stare back at her in terror.

He plead for mercy with his eyes, for a shred of forgiveness. He was only a foot soldier, after all, a dispensable member of Rookwood’s gang. But Diana was beyond granting him that now.

Her eyes remained fixated on the man, watching his pupils dart around in pure panic. Then, she uttered a spell that sent dread crawling down his spine.

“…descendo!”

trying my hand at writing too. it’s not the best but it’s what i can come up with while juggling irl things 💖 it’s basically inspired by my attacking style in HL where i would just… levitate the enemies and freeze them, then wait and watch before slamming them to the ground with descendo. too brutal? 😅
