I'll share my headcanon? What if the Fairy World is also connected to the Ghost World? I don't know if fairies die, but their souls are probably in the Infinite Worlds, but they no longer grant wishes. Maybe the souls of fairies can visit the Fairy World to find out news of the world of the living and tell what's going on in the dimension of the dead. Could this be how Timmy and his fairies found out about Danny? Jurgen wouldn't mind if Cosmo and Wanda checked on their old godson, would he? :(

I’ve checked the Fairly OddParents fandom wiki, and apparently fairies can be killed, but I could not find anything else directly saying that fairies can die so. Yeah. Also I definitely do think that some of their past godchildren would’ve died before, not only were some of them were pretty bad(see:hall of infamy inside Cosmo’s and Wanda’s castle) but a lot of Timmy’s wishes have been very-mostly unintentionally-dangerous, so a child-good or bad-could’ve died from that. But that’s all just speculation, so it doesn’t really matter much.

Anyways, I personally think that the Ghost Zone connects to everything, so it would be a cool idea for Danny to stumble upon Fairy World that way.

Timmy and his fairies get called upon by Jorgan because “the Ghost King is invading them.” But it doesn’t take long for the group to find out it’s just Danny walking around in awe of Fairy World-and also trying to eat the ground/cloud that Fairy World is on because it looks like cotton candy(which is also known as fairy floss). Doesn’t taste as good as it though.

Cosmo says that Danny looks a lot like a godchild he and Wanda had a while ago, which makes both of the fairies panic because “oh no what if our previous godchild died because we left.” Danny also wants to know because this place does feel strangely familiar. He doesn’t say who he was before he “died” because Danny doesn’t know if he should trust these guys or not.

They all pester Jorgan to see if Danny was in fact their previous godchild, but he doesn’t answer and just wants Danny out of here. Too bad Timmy can’t just wish away and find out…but he can wish for someone to help him. Like Clockwork.

I'm going through the Prime Wars Trilogy just for the heck of it

Initially, since all 3 cartoons are very short, I was going to put all my thoughts in one big post... But Combine Wars ended up being so bad that my review of it became super long so...

Anyways, here's my thoughts on Combine Wars

So I watched the Prelude stuff after the main special, and I was really hoping those would help with the severe lack of exposition for the setting of Combine Wars....nah they didn't really help at all, so that was a fucking waste. Also what was up with the animation of the Preludes? It was stiff and at times felt like they came out of the first Danganronpa game...

Anyways, I want to try to be fair because this series is 8 episodes that are roughly 5 minutes in length so the pacing is what it is

But boy does it fall flat

Like when a series lacks proper backstory and exposition to the point I have to go to the freaking wiki to look things up, I don't find that to be really good

No good explanation for why the Combiners are at war, we just know there's some war between them that happened sometime after the other great war had ended. Megatron and Optimus are in exile. Megatron I get, but Optimus? You want to exile the guy who fought millennia to bring peace??? Why???

All I can gather is that it has something to do with how long the war went on and Optimus apparently didn't do enough to stop the war. I've seen reasoning like this in War for Cybertron (the bad one, not the game) and it's so stupid imo. Megatron implied that Optimus enjoyed the fighting, which is a gray take on the character that was introduced in Armada; and while I do like that interpretation of Optimust and Megatron's never-ending conflict, it doesn't change the fact that Optimus--even if he does enjoy the thrill of a fight--FIGHTS FOR PEACE! WHY ARE WE EXILING SOMEONE WHO FOUGHT FOR A NOBLE CAUSE???

Going back to the topic, the special isn't even about the Combiners as the title suggests! A couple of them are just glorified special guest stars, which is lame. And it's not explained very well why the Council feels the need to control them to stop their war. I mean, by the end of the special, Windblade gives the Enigma to Victorion so she can use it to unite her people like?????? WHY DIDN'T THEY THINK OF THAT?????

For that matter, Starscream being on the Council is so stupid. I don't care if he came up with a convincing lie that he had changed his ways, if they wanted Decepticon representation to be a chairman, why pick ACTUAL ROBOT JUDAS?!? Even this Mistress of Flame chick is like, "Oh I don't trust you" THEN WHY IS HE HERE?!? And then Rodimus ended up trusting him which led to, you know it, STARSCREAM BETRAYING THEM! SHOCK AND AWE!

Speaking of Rodimus, he's a main character but because of the plot they made him lack a lot of common sense. And then they ripped his arm off and suddenly he's out of commission like my boy from G1 probably would have used his severed arm to beat people up to get the job done, what was this writing??

And Metroplex was...offline I guess? And didn't come online until Windblade went unconscious and he had to pull a Mufasa on her she she could awaken him? No idea what was up with that...

I'm not gonna pretend I know anything about Windblade's character but her being very vengeful of everything felt very forced to me. Her prelude implied that the Combiners kept coming to Caminus to fuck shit up, which I understand makes her fed up, but I don't understand how that made her not want to speak to Titan class Transformers anymore. This special is ultimately about her, and her writing makes her out to be more of an edgelord than a noble warrior out for revenge like what I think the narrative wants her to be...

Optimus himself is...fine. Not an offensive take on the character, but tbh he mostly just felt like he was there as fanservice since Windblade is more of the main character. He didn't really do a whole lot other than be cool, and attempt but fail at being the voice of reason to the vengeful Windblade and violence-hungry Megatron

I will say I did like Optimus and Megatron's interactions though. I don't...fully agree with this notion that Megatron would find contentment with exile post-war, but him goading Optimus and their one-on-one fight had its entertaining moments

Also apparently Megatron is like...a triple changer I guess where he can turn into a tank and then Big Gun, which in a way is kinda cool but also kinda silly because it felt like something the writers threw in just to nod the original G1 alt form (Optimus using his gun form to kill Starscream was kinda sick tho if we're being real here)

Overall, it's pretty bad and a terrible advertisement for a campaign for combiner class toys

rating it a 2/10

Maybe the follow up shows in this trilogy can pick themselves up (x to doubt)
