Here begins the Arthurian unit for my "Early English Writers" course. This telling of the tale doesn't feel like a glorified romance at all, but kinda Beowulf-esque in parts (albeit with more British nationalism customary of the 14th/15th century). I'm not showing my contents for my other Lit course because the texts are printed in anthologies. But for that course, I just finished "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," by Robert Louis Stevenson and will be re-reading James Joyce's "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man." (Which I'm VERY enthusiastic about). I've also figured out what I'm writing as an experimental piece for my Creative Nonfiction course. PUT A BOW ON IT Here is a look inside my 1941 Bodley Head edition and you can see the green cover is a bit drab until you notice the beautiful bow on it. While no one is walking around Edwardian Dublin with a bow and arrows, the bow was the favoured weapon of Odysseus in Homer's epic. Past the cover, you can see that someone has priced the book at 50p clearly showing it as an English (or possibly Irish) book and you see that it is based on the unlimited 1937 print.
