Passion and suffering. Pleasure and pain. Can't have one without the other. I can't imagine them being separate. That's how its always been for me. If I felt one I would surely feel the other, in what some would call "unfortunate," and what some would call "perversion."
I feel everything so deeply, intensely. My emotions are too "extreme." Surely this must be my punishment for that. My inability to moderate my obsessions just made me get used to the agony that accompanied it. The lows turned into highs and when I crashed it'd all start over again, a cycle.
I thought that with you I would finally be content. Your sweet sunshine self that pierced through the storm clouds that invaded my psyche, your comforting presence accompanied by that fragrant flower scent, intoxicating, that I would gladly drown in. I loved your gentle dazed eyes, like melting candies. Everything about you, I thought it would satisfy me, finally keep me happy. That's why I had to have you, more than just clinging by my side. But maybe that was the storm coming in, showering my brain in false excitement to receive the resounding thunder of an intense thought with joy.
Was looking forward to it. But something's missing, and I can't understand why. What went wrong? Saudade turns sour in my mouth: sickening, debilitating, like I'd throw up. Oh, that would be in vain. I must brave through this melancholy without a medicine, though my suffering isn't noble like a martyr's. It's tainted—sin—because I'm the one who poisoned myself looking for a cure to my "addiction."
I passed my lips over your skin, both when it was dead and still alive. Chewing. Sucking. Tearing, grazing. Ripping, swallowing. Filaments thinner than a delicate flower petal's width tantalize my tastebuds like honey with an added spice. Flakes dissolve on my tongue just as the powder of your dandruff does. Your nails click against my teeth, one of the few sounds I remember after you, a garden buzzing with life, went silent. After a crop pest's ravage, it was to be expected, but I had told myself I did it because I loved you, suffocating you in a swarm of my affections. And when the clouds cleared, there was nothing that remained, not even bone.
Indulging in pleasures of the flesh. I wanted to find pleasure in your flesh, even while you were in agony, in your last moments. Your tears had been like sweet nectar and I needed more. I ate it all up, but it wasn't appetizing enough. There was almost guilt—who was I to act like a petulant child, whining for dessert and then barely even finishing it when it was actually awarded to me? I don't know what's wrong with me. Or maybe I do, but to admit it would be ritual suicide. Why couldn't I just savor it, enjoy it, take it and be done with it. I had wanted it, no? I thought it'd make me happy; well, why hasn't it?
why is it not enough?

"now we're stopping the world, stopped it in its tracks. nothing's too broken to find our way back so before it's over, before you run...didn't we have fun?"
♡ pairing: ilja dragunov x fem! reader
♡ note: not checked for grammar or spelling mistakes / i'm so happy ilja won tonight but that doesn't mean that i'm not heartbroken over walter finally losing. anyway, here's a small blurb for all you ilja stans.
Tumblr media
"your ex has his big match tonight, you excited to probably see him lose again?" Indi asked jokingly. you rolled your eyes, not wanting to joke about a match you were nervous to watch. "I know tonight for him is a big deal so I don't really want to jinx him or for that matter, Walter," you replied, taking a sip of water.
Indi sighed sensing the excuses rolling off your tongue. you were tapping away nervously on your laptop and you filled out last minute paperwork for the pay-per-view event. she noticed every time you had your nose deep into your laptop it was for one of two reasons. you actually had to get work done or you were so nervous about something that you consumed your life with work until whatever it was that was making you nervous passed.
"what has you so glued to your laptop? I thought all NXT work was finished yesterday?" you shook your head, not responding as you continued to, "Regal wanted me to respond to a few emails for the taping on Tuesday. where's Dexter? I'm surprised the engaged couple isn't together right now," you poked, making Indi smack you on the back of the head.
the entire building was buzzing from excitement. you heard makeup and costume screaming at each other about finishing their clients so the other could get started. wrestlers walked back and forth through catering, chugging back water and standing by the curtains to eat while they watched whatever match was going on.
"look, Walter's over there," Indi whispered. you looked behind you, seeing Walter along with his two henchmen walking to an empty table. you could sense Walter's energy the minute he walked through the door. it was like the biggest unkept secret that Walter carried this energy that just scared anyone who dared to provoke him. "man, Ilja's going to get it rough, regardless if he wins tonight or not," you whispered to Indi as she agreed.
you and Indi remained talking to each other as you watched Dakota's match against Raquel. you were on the writing team for their storyline so you kind of had to pay attention to the match to see where it went after it ended. you managed to be so engrossed into it that you hadn't heard Indi calling your name for a good minute until she finally shook you.
"they want you in makeup and costume, something about Regal wanting you," Indi said. you nodded, closing your laptop and shoving everything int your bag, "I'll be back," you murmured. Indi laughed knowing you weren't exactly coming back anytime soon.
you walked as quickly as possible, not realizing that Regal had no business in makeup and costume but since your mind was so plagued with the thoughts of Ilja's match, you hadn't put two and two together.
once you arrived to makeup and costume, you saw Ilja sitting on one of the chairs as one of the makeup artist apologized profusely to you, "this was all Indi's idea. I swear she was the one who put me to this," she confessed as she walked out of the makeup stall, leaving you with Ilja, the air becoming thick.
"I know this isn't all of Indi's doing so what do you want?"
+
Ilja and you stared at each other, minds racing as the two of you heaved in anger, "I'm not staying on the UK brand, Lacey and I got offered a better deal as a tag team on the main NXT roster and I'm not just letting that go," you repeated to Ilja as he tried to grab your hand again. you quickly shook it off knowing that all he was going to do was try and convince you to stay again.
"why are you so against me going?" you asked again. this time, Ilja stood up, looking into your eye with so much intensity, "if you leave, I won't ever see you again. I won't leave the UK brand and you look like you're dead set on leaving it," you huffed knowing what Ilja was saying was true.
the offer NXT had for you in Florida seemed hell of a lot better than what the UK brand was offering you at the moment and teaming as a tag with Lacey didn't sound as bad as what you were currently doing. you grabbed Ilja's hand and rubbed it softly, "this might be the end for us but it's not all bad. you have a chance at the belt here while I try to go do the same thing just in Florida. maybe this isn't the end, just a see you later?" you asked knowing Ilja was trying to hold in his tears.
you knew Ilja was the kind of man who didn't hold back his emotions. he cried when he felt the tears coming but today he tried as hard as he could to hold it together, "we'll be together again, I promise," you whispered to him.
you felt your leg pulsing as you tried to calm your thoughts down. you had taken a nasty fall down during a match and you knew it was your ankle that had taken the hit or your achilles. a part of you was begging that it was your ankle but in the back of your mind, you knew it was your achilles and an achilles injury usually meant a prolonged healing process.
the medics tried to find the source of your injury but there wasn't much you could do while in the area. it didn't take long for them to wheel you into an ambulance and rush you over to the hospital to actually check out what was wrong. the entire time throughout the ride and waiting on your results, you kept getting a multitude of texts from everyone wondering what happened.
you heard a knock on the door and whispered a 'come in'. the doctor walked in with a pile of paperwork and wary smile. "what's the damage?" you asked, quickly cutting to the chase. he handed you the paperwork and while you could understand somethings, a lot of it was confusing.
"your achilles, it took most of the damage and it's an injury that you won't be coming back from."
your heart stopped hearing the news. you knew an achilles injury was pretty nasty but you never thought it would be the reason why your career ended. the doctor could see your face drop in complete sadness as you tried to hold back sobs. he knew it was best to not continue as you hid your face into your hands. no one thought that a random Tuesday night match would be your last.
Ilja sat on his bed, scrolling through his feed on Twitter when he heard the tweet from your account.
it was a photo of you holding the NXT UK Women's belt close to your heart. his heart sunk as he read the caption.
"didn't we have fun? don't say it was all a waste."
he quickly scrolled through your account to quickly come across the official WWE account. they had made an announcement that you were no longer available to wrestle due to your injury and Ilja knew more than anyone how hurt you must've been. you had moved your entire wrestling career to Florida in order to pursue the women's belt there and now, all of that was gone.
a part of him wanted to text you to make sure you were okay but he knew better than to do that. the two of you hadn't spoken since the breakup and texting you could bring back memories he was sure you didn't want back. a lot of your career was defined as a inter-gender tag team with him and that was how the two of you got signed together.
Ilja bit his tongue back and decided against texting you.
+
you watched the match from the monitors in the back. Ilja had said nothing to you when you asked what he wanted but he brought you in for a searing kiss. you were promptly taken back by his action but you let it happen, missing the way his arms hugged you and the way his intense eyes stared down at you.
Indi stood next to you as she saw you tapping against the table nervously. she knew you'd probably kill her later for making you reunite with Ilja but she knew better than anyone that the two of you belonged together. just like her and Dexter, you and Ilja needed to remain with each other. there was even a few wrestlers on the roster she had to scare away in order for her plan to work.
you saw the way Ilja's chest was turning red as Walter continued to chop at it, making it bleed and creating small cuts here and there. Indi stood next to you as she watched Ilja put Walter in a very easy chokehold. it wasn't one that seemed that Walter would falter too but it happened in an instant, Ilja had him wrapped so tightly that it seemed Walter was about to pass out.
"holy shit."
Walter was quickly tapping himself out of Ilja's grasp as the bell rang. Indi turned over to you to see the way you dropped your bag and without thinking, ran out of the curtains and onto the ramp. a few of the producers called your name to return but you were too far out to hear what they were saying.
the crowd was going wild to see you practically sprinting down the ramp. Ilja hadn't realized what was going on but you snatched the belt away from the ref and stood in front of him, holding it up high as Ilja tried to process what was going on. "you won, Ilja! you finally did it!" you yelled, shaking the belt in front of him.
Ilja's breath hitched as he grabbed the belt and held it tightly for a moment before putting his leg on top of Walter's chest, "you did it," you whispered to him. Ilja screamed in victory as you grabbed his hand and made him hold the belt higher to show the crowd that he had in fact dethroned Walter after 800+ days
you had no idea what this meant for you and Ilja going forward but you had the inkling feeling that somehow, someway, Ilja had crawled his way back into your life. not that you were complaining of course.

The Guardian
(we’ll see how I feel about that title if I actually do more of this story)
Anywho...this all started with a dream about rescuing a dog and Cassian Andor chewing me out.  Good times.
This is set prior to Rogue One.
I have no idea what I’m doing or where this is going or if there will actually be more of it.  We shall see.
Many, MANY thanks go to several people who have encouraged me, proof read for me, let me lose my absolute fucking mind with this.  @only-a-mindless-creation you were the first person I even mentioned having an idea to, thank you for letting some random stranger bombard you with her insanity.  @shenanigans-and-imagines thank you for being a sounding board and helping me figure out some specifics. @shejustcalledmeafish thank you for your help with grammar and smoothing this out. @yougottakeeponkeepinon thank you for answering all my random questions and giving me a confidence boost. @itsspacecowboys thank you for commiserating with me over the lack of Cassian content.  Last, but definitely most, @stevieharrrr for putting up with all my nonsense, you deserve an award, along with my heart and my eternal gratitude. I hope this lives up to everyone’s expectations.
There are probably others I’m forgetting, and I apologize if I said I’d tag you and I missed you.  I’m horrible at remembering shit.  Please forgive me, and drop me another line reminding me, so if I ever add onto this, I can make sure to tag you.
Now, onto the story
It’s Cassian Andor x f!Reader (no romance in this part)
Warnings: Swearing (this includes f*** and s***, yes, I know they aren’t canon, but fuck it), death/killing of imperials...uh...I think that’s it? Let me know if I missed something.
Word count: approx. 4.2k
Tumblr media
It was the modified voices of the stormtroopers that roused you from your pitiful attempt at sleep.  They’d been walking by in small groups every few hours the whole time you’d been in this cage, and each time, you’d jolted awake, making sure to catch as much of their conversations as you could.  Just in case.
So far, nothing you’d heard seemed to have any value.
“Throw him in there with the other one.”
Looks like you were about to get company.
Sure enough, a moment later, two imps stopped right in front of your cell, their white suits a sharp contrast to the dark ensemble worn by the man they had restrained between them.  You’d never seen him before, but you sure as hell recognized the insignia he wore.
You looked up into the eyes of the Rebellion captain who was about to become your cellmate.  He seemed to be trying to communicate something to you if the subtle movements of his head and eyes meant anything.
Before you could try to decipher what he was telling you, the cell door slid open and he was shoved unceremoniously, his knees buckling, so that he fell at your feet.  His arms had been bound behind his back, so his face hit the ground, a grunt of pain escaping from his lips.
“Seems like there’s Rebel scum everywhere you look.” His captors slid the door closed again before heading back the way they’d come.
You waited until you heard them turn the corner at the far end of the hall before you dared to move.  When you were sure they were gone, you gently lifted your foot and nudged the top of the man’s head.  “You alive?”
He rocked himself until he was able to flip over on his back. “You were supposed to rush them.”
“What?”  His accent threw you a bit.
“Did you not see me signalling you with my eyes?!”  He snapped, his eyes narrowing in frustration.  “You were supposed to rush out at them as soon as they unlocked the cell.”
You held up your left wrist.  “And how would I have done that? Hmmm?”  The chain from the wall attached to the cuff around your wrist clinked a bit as you tugged on it.
“Oh.”
“Yeah, oh.” You rolled your eyes.  “You think I want to be stuck in here, captain?”
“Cassian Andor.” He nodded as you gave him your name.  “Then you are definitely the woman I was sent to rescue.”
“Rescue? This is a rescue?”
“Yes.” He grunted in the effort it took to sit up without the use of his hands.  “Draven sent me.”
“Let me guess, he didn’t seem too pleased about it?” You scoffed.  “I mean, more than usual?”
A wry smile found its way onto the man’s face.  “I take it you know the general?”
“I’ve had my fair share of run-ins with him.”
Ungracefully, your cellmate scooted himself along the ground until he could rest against the wall of your prison.  “What makes you worth saving?” His eyes seemed to search your face for something.
“What?”
“Draven didn’t tell me why you were so important that I was pulled from a mission to rescue you.”
He had been on a mission?  Like Leia’s mission?  The one that wound up with you chained to a wall?  What were you supposed to say to that?
“You keep saying that you’re here to rescue me, but the binders around your wrists and the fact that you’re in here with me don’t really scream that you can help me.”  The guilt of screwing up his mission didn’t settle well in your stomach, so you went with tried-and-true deflection.
“I am part of a crew--”
“So, you’re the decoy?” You cocked your head to the side.
“No.”
“Where’s your crew?”
“I’m...not sure.” He started glaring at you again.
You could feel your blood pressure starting to rise.  “Do they know where we are?”
“Probably not.  We split up before the imps found me.”
You growled low in your throat.  “I’ll take a wild guess and say they took anything from you that might get us out of this?”  You yanked on your chain again.
“I don’t understand why the general would be so hesitant to rescue you.  You have such a pleasant personality.”
“I can see why Draven sent you to rescue me, considering the bang-up job you’re doing so far.”  You huffed.  “So, what?  We’re just stuck here now?”
Before he could answer, a new set of voices echoed down the hall.
“Here.”  One lieutenant and one droid now stood in front of your cell.  “He was just brought in.  How would they already know about him upstairs?”
“I do not know, sir.  I was simply told to collect the prisoners.”
Shit.  What were they going to do to you?  You’d been in this holding cell since they’d caught you, chained to the wall like some sort of animal since you’d attempted to barrel your way out the first time they’d brought you food.
Were they going to torture you?  Attempt to extract Leia’s whereabouts?  Kill you?
Well, whatever their plans, they were stupid to send only one measly officer and one droid.
The two of them stepped into the cell and the lieutenant moved towards you.  “You’ll want to keep this one on a short leash.”  He jerked on your chain.
As soon as you were free, you reached to grab the sides of the man’s head and jerked him forward, shoving your knee up.  No, you weren’t at a great angle to connect with much, but you knew instinct would make him double over.  Sure enough, his head lowered as he folded, and you wrapped your arms around it, twisting as violently as you could manage, until you felt more than heard the give and snap.
You snatched the blaster from his belt and whirled around, ready to put a hole through the droid, only to find its metal arms in the air.
“Cassian, please don’t let her do that to me.”  It seemed to be addressing your cellmate.
You looked down at the man, puzzled.  “What’s going on?”
“K2SO is my droid.  He’s going to get us out of here.”  He looked past you to the officer’s limp body.  “That was fast.”
“I can be fairly useful when I’m not chained to a wall.”  You tucked the blaster into your belt and straightened your tunic to hide it before helping him to his feet.  “If you’re getting us out of here, I’m assuming you have a plan?”
“You’re my prisoners,” came the droid’s almost cheery response.
“I mean,” the captain cut in, “unless you plan on snapping the neck of everyone we pass.”
“I’ll pass, thanks.”
Captain Andor nodded to the body.  “If you’re a prisoner, you’ll need to look the part.”
You cocked your head to the side.
“Grab the binders,” he sighed in frustration, “and the fob.”
“Right.” You knelt down and pulled the items from his belt before draping the binders over your wrists.  Then you held out the fob to the droid.  “Ready whenever you are.”
.
“I can’t believe we pulled that off.” How you’d all managed to get out of the base and onto their ship without setting off any alarms was a bit beyond you.
“Get me out of these.” Captain Andor snapped at K2SO.  The droid dutifully moved to unlock the binders that still held his wrists behind his back.
“Thank you.” You hoped to diffuse some of his anger.  “Thank you for rescuing me.  I know you weren’t really given a choice in the matter, but I appreciate it.”  You sighed when you were met with silence.  Was he still thinking about his botched mission?  You turned to the droid who’d also played a role in your rescue.  “And you, too, K2SO.  Thank you.”
“Well, it’s nice to see that some royalty still has manners.”
His tone would have made you laugh...except… “Royalty?  You...you think--I’m not royalty.”
Two sets of eyes, one human, one AI, turned to stare at you.
“Le--Princess Leia, I--no one told you who I am?”  Why did you suddenly feel like a fraud?  Like you weren’t actually supposed to have been rescued?  Was this all a big mistake?
“This is what we were sent.”  K2SO held a datapad out in your direction.
There, in the middle of the transmission, was your name, age, physical description, and last known coordinates.  Underneath all of that was the order for your rescue and return to the palace of Alderaan.
“Is that not you?”
“No, that’s me.  But Princess Leia, she’s my...my charge.”
“Your charge?” Cassian spoke for the first time since you’d boarded the ship.  “You mean--”
“I don’t know what your clearance is, Captain, so I can’t tell you all the details, but I can tell you that Leia and I ran into some trouble on her last, um, assignment, and there wasn’t enough time to get us both out.”
“Draven pulled me from an extremely sensitive mission to rescue a...a...a palace guard?” Cassian slammed his hands down on the control panel in front of him, “Unbelievable!” before spinning around to face you. “Do you have any idea what this might have cost the Rebellion?”
“I never asked to be rescued!”
“Well, you’re not rescued yet.”  He turned back to the controls and began making adjustments.  “I may still have time to finish my mission before I must return you to your princess.”
“Cassian, are you sure that is wise?” K2SO chimed in.  “Surely, without any sort of training, she will just get--”
“She’ll be fine.  You can make sure she stays out of trouble.”
“Now hold on, just one damn minute!” The disgruntled noise from the droid told you that you weren’t the only one not on board with this half-assed plan.  “Captain--”
“No time.” With one final button, the three of you were flung into hyperspace.
.
You drummed your fingers against your knee for what was probably the thousandth time since the captain had left.  A million thoughts seemed to be flitting through your mind, but you couldn’t quite focus on any of them for more than a moment.  This unease was foreign, and it didn’t sit well.  You were used to having one job.  Yes, life as Leia’s bodyguard could be chaotic at times, but you had a singular purpose.  Keeping her safe.  Everything else could be falling apart around you, but as long as she was protected, nothing else mattered.
Finding yourself on a U-Wing sitting on a planet in Hutt Space while waiting for the pilot to be done with some sort of spy mission...
“So, what’s here on Dandoran that’s so important?” You chanced, looking over at K2SO.
The droid was so still, you’d have thought he’d shut down.
“K2S--?”
“Cassian told me I have to watch you.  He did not say I have to entertain you.”
You pursed your lips, holding back your sarcasm.  “You’re right.  I don’t need you to entertain me.  I’m sorry that my presence is such an inconvenience for the both of you.”  You pushed yourself out of the chair, needing something to do.  “Is there something I could help with?”
“The probability of your involvement causing a catastrophic end to this assignment is very high.”
“How could you possibly know that?”
“Even without my programming, it is easy to see you have no experience in subterfuge, ergo, your failure would be inevitable.”
You ignored the pain in your palms where your fingernails were digging in.  “So, I’m just supposed to sit here and do nothing?”
“No.” The droid finally turned to you.  “You could also stand there and do nothing.”
You decided then that you absolutely hated this. “I need some air.” You needed a minute to clear your head.  That certainly wasn’t going to happen on this ship.
“My sensors indicate that the air quality in here is suitable.”
You turned and headed for the hatch.  “Then I need a walk.”
“Cassian said--”
“Cassian said you had to watch me.” You growled without looking back.  “He never said I had to stay put.”
You could hear the droid following you off the ship and fought the scream that threatened to erupt.
“It was implied.”
.
It took longer than you’d anticipated to find anything other than trees, trees, and more trees.  Oh, and did you mention, trees?  You hadn’t been paying close attention to where the captain had landed his ship--no, your focus had been more on trying to make him see reason and take you home.  A lot of good that had done you.
Now, walking through the dense forest, you had no idea where you were or where you were headed.  Was this even the direction the captain had gone in?  Were you just wandering around in circles, hopelessly lost forever?
Maybe.  But maybe not.  Up ahead, it looked like...
Your heart sank to your feet as soon as you spotted the field.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.” You spun around to face K2SO.  “Fuck.”  He froze at your sudden movement.  “They have him.”
“I don’t--”
“Shhhh!” You hissed, glancing back over your shoulder.  Thankfully, no one from the group you’d been eyeing looked over in your direction.  “The Imps over there.  Behind me.  About 400 paces.  They have Captain Andor.”
“I must go retrieve him.”
You pressed your hand against the droid, hoping to still him again.  “And how do you propose that?”
“I am an Imperial--”
“I know, and I also know I don’t see any more like you around here.  You’re gonna stick out like a Wookie in Aldera.”
“Then what do you propose I do?”
You looked back to see the three stormtroopers pointing their blasters at the captain, even as he set his on the ground near his feet.  “Shit.” You took a deep breath.  “I’m going to walk out there.” You glided your free hand over the blaster in your belt.  This was something you could do.  “Let me get no further than ten paces from him…” You hastily scanned the forest for something...anything… “See that tree over there?  The one that looks like a strong breeze could knock it over?”
“It appears it has been struck by some sort of electrical charge.”
“Yes, that one.  Get over to it, and when I’m close enough to the captain, push it over.”
“I do not see--”
“I may not be good at subterfuge, but I can keep someone safe.  Captain Andor is my charge right now, and I’ll keep him safe.  Alright?”
“Very well.”
You waited until you saw K2SO in position.  Then you squared your shoulders and headed towards the clearing.
“You there, freeze.” Three blasters were now fixed on you.  Good.
You forced a look of surprise on your face.  “Me?”  You refused to even glance at Captain Andor as you stepped further out of the trees.
“Yes, you.”  The trooper closest to you waved his weapon.  “Keep coming, nice and slow.”
“Well, which is it?  You want me to freeze or keep coming?”
“Shut up and move.”
Widening your eyes in what you hoped made you look frightened, you started walking closer.  “What’s going on?”
“Don’t you worry about it, sweetheart, just keep moving.”
Almost there.
Three.
Two.
One.
Right on cue, a crack, and then a loud crash echoed through the canyon.  Like clockwork, all three troopers spun around towards the sound.  You grabbed your blaster and fired off three consecutive shots, all of them finding their mark in the unprotected necks of your victims.
“You alright, Captain?” You finally looked over to see the man scowling at you as he retrieved his blaster from the ground.
“Why did you leave the ship?” he spat out at you.
Before you could answer, K2SO lumbered into sight.  “That was very good work.  I did not expect you to be able to get all three of them like that.  How did you come to be that proficient?”
“Uh, I’m a bodyguard to a princess who dabbles in espionage.  It’s a necessary skill.”
The droid nodded and turned to Cassian.  “Oh.  You are not happy we left the ship.”
“What gave it away?” He snapped, brushing past you to head into the woods.
“I told you it was implied.” The droid hissed at you before following.
Your jaw dropped in frustration before you scurried to catch up.  “Captain, you did not specify that I was to stay on the ship.”
“K2--”
“--is a droid that followed your order to keep watch on me.  Don’t yell at him because you’re upset with what I did.” You grabbed his arm to stop him, but he yanked it out of your grasp.  “What is your problem?”
“My problem,” he finally spun around to face you, “is that I have a mission to complete, only my droid is having to babysit you, and you can’t even stay put!”
“You would be dead if I had.”
“No, I would have been taken to a cell.  Then I would actually know where the holding cells are on this planet, and I wouldn’t be back at square one, trying to find where they’re keeping the people they’re smuggling through as slaves!”
He turned back around and continued on, leaving you standing, in shock.  Fuck.  How had you screwed this up so badly?
“I--I didn’t know, either.” K2SO stopped next to you.
You looked up at the droid, trying to make sense of all this.  “I thought I was saving him.”  It was what you did.  What you were good at.  “How do I fix this?”
“Cassian will have a plan.” A metal hand rested on your shoulder.  “We should go back to the ship now.”
“I’m sorry I dragged you into this.”
The response you received was a curt nod before K2SO followed after the captain.
Taking another moment, you ran your hand down your face. It didn’t matter anymore that you’d tried to get him to take you back to Alderaan and that if he’d just listened to you, you wouldn’t have screwed this up for him.  You needed to make this right.
You just had no idea how.
.
Turned out, K2SO was right--Captain Andor did have a plan.  It wasn’t exactly new, rather, he flew the ship to a different location, after sensors had picked up movement.  Once he was able to confirm the presence of stormtroopers, he landed again.
This time, you paid attention to where he was setting down.
“I shouldn’t have to tell you to stay put this time, yes?”
Quickly, you jumped up to block his exit.  “Let me help you.  I screwed this up.  Let me fix it.”
“I don’t need you to fix what you broke.  This is my mission.  I’m in charge.”  He turned his attention away from you.  “K2, neither of you are to leave this ship.”
“Captain Andor--”
He completely ignored you.  “Got it?”
“Cassian, I do believe that if--” K2SO began.
You couldn’t tell from where you were standing, but there must have been something in the captain’s eyes that silenced the droid mid-sentence.
“Got it.”
Cassian gave a curt nod. “I will be back before nightfall.”
With that, he was gone.
.
Light had started to fade from the sky when you were jarred into consciousness.  You hadn’t planned on falling asleep, but since being left behind, neither you nor K2SO were inclined to chat.  With little else to do other than sit and stare out into the green scenery surrounding the ship, it wasn’t a huge surprise that you’d dozed off.
“That will be Cassian.”  K2SO acknowledged the sounds coming from outside the ship that had woken you, before reaching up to open the hatch.  “Cass--”
The man ran up the ramp as fast as he could. “Get us up in the air, right now!” With his speed, he was unable to stop before slamming into the far wall of the ship, but somehow, he managed to twist himself so that his left side took the brunt of the impact.  On his right side, he had his arms wrapped around what appeared to be a child who was burying their face in his neck.  “K2--”
As the droid moved to follow the order, the sight of white plastoid caught your eye.  Immediately, you drew your blaster and began firing at the stormtroopers that the captain had obviously been running from.  “I’m assuming it’s alright if I shoot these troopers, yes?”
“Yes!”
You could practically hear his eyes rolling as you moved to close the ramp, firing every time you caught a glimpse of white.  Blaster shots were still pinging off the outside of the ship as it finally began to lift.  K2SO had you up and out of Dandoran’s atmosphere a short while later, and you were finally able to breathe.
“Hey, you’re okay.”
Captain Andor’s voice caught your attention, and you looked over to see him trying to calm the child in his arms.  Judging by the fur, you assumed the little boy was a Bothan, and one that didn’t seem to understand Basic, if the frantic way his skin was moving was any indication.
“Captain, I don’t think he understands you.” You holstered your blaster before inching closer to the two.  “Do you speak Bothese?”
“No.”  He looked up at you.  “Do you?”
“I’ve seen them before, when they’ve come to visit the Organas, but I don’t know the language.”  You knelt down in front of the child.  “I do know my parents and I were referred to as ‘Kas’ whenever they’ve been there.”  You pointed to yourself.  “Kas?”
Immediately, the child let go of Cassian and latched onto you, his arms snug around your neck.  “I guess that was the right thing to say.”  You shrugged, wrapping your arms around his shaking little body.  “Where did you find him?”
“I was able to open up the holding cells.” He grunted in discomfort as he tried to move.  His right hand cradled his left shoulder, trying to work out the pain from his crash.  “His mother--she was in the cell with him.”  He closed his eyes and leaned his head back against the wall.  “He didn’t run out like the others.  Just clung to her body.”
“Fuck.”  You rubbed your hands across the boy’s back, hoping to offer some bit of comfort.  “What about the others?”
“There weren’t enough imps to take them all on.  He was the only child in any of the cells.” He hung his head.  “I needed--”
“You don’t have to explain anything to me, Captain.”  You maneuvered yourself around so you could lean against the wall next to him.  It was more than a little challenging, seeing as how the boy refused to release you, but you finally made it.  “What’s going to happen to him?”
“I don’t know.  He could join the Rebellion, but… If he doesn’t understand Basic--I don’t know of anyone who speaks Bothese.”
“Would you be averse to me taking him when you drop me off on Alderaan?  I’m sure Leia will be able to contact someone from his home planet who can take care of him.”
The look on his face was something you couldn’t quite figure out.  Something was haunting him, something about this whole situation--but you didn’t have the familiarity to feel comfortable asking about what had him so troubled.
“In the meantime, we should probably see about fixing your shoulder.” You nodded towards his injured side.  “Can’t imagine slamming into the wall felt particularly good.”
He choked out a laugh before turning to look at you.  “You know, you really aren’t a bad shot.  Could use someone like you.”
“Like, to travel around with you and screw up your missions?”  You cocked an eyebrow, not really sure where he was going with this.
“I mean with the Rebellion.  We need all the help we can get.”  He seemed to sense your confusion, so he pressed on.  “I know the princess is your charge, but you could be doing so much more.”
“I don’t--” you shook your head “--it’s my job, I protect her.  I don’t...I don’t know how to do anything else.  It’s what I was raised to do.”
Cassian leaned his head back against the wall and looked up to the ceiling.  “You snapped that officer’s neck like it was nothing.  You killed three Imperial Storm Troopers before I could blink.  You convinced K2 to cause a distraction to help rescue someone you just met.  You managed to recall enough Bothese to calm him.” He nodded to the child still holding you, pausing long enough for you to register that yes, the boy’s skin was no longer twitching beneath your palms.  “Think about it.”  Gingerly, he pushed himself up from the floor and headed towards the rear of the ship.
“He’s crazy.” Your brain was having a hard time wrapping around what you’d just heard.  There had never been anything else you were meant to do with your life.  You had a purpose, and you did your job well.  How could you possibly think you could--
“Actually, he’s not wrong.  Your abilities would go far in aiding the Rebellion.”
You looked up to see K2SO towering over you.
“I thought my failure was inevitable.”
“Perhaps my calculations were incorrect.”

MoonSun [Post-apocalyptic AU] PT. 1
I’ve been listening to the soundtrack of one of my personal favorite video games from 2019 (Days Gone) and my mind decided to become active and create scenarios of an AU I actually never intended on writing at all. It kept bothering me until I actually did sit down and typed away
I have no idea if I will ever get to writing a full story of this. I can’t say that I won’t but I also can’t say I will with certainty. So might as well just share some bits and pieces here.
Also, English is not my first language so I apologize for possible grammar mistakes and typos.
Yongsun slowly opened her eyes as she regained consciousness, blinking a few times to get rid of her bleary vision. Her eyes scanned the surroundings, a slight soupçon of panic took her over once she realized this place wasn't familiar to her at all. She quickly sat up, groaning as her blood rushed to her head, making it pound tremendously.
Yongsun took a few deep breathes, trying to collect her thoughts. A string of questions flickered through her mind, wanting to be answered all at once. How did she get here? Where was she? What happened? The ashblond woman wrecked her brain, trying to find answers. No matter how hard she tried to remember what had happened, everything after the assault remained black to her memory.
 The assault
It slowly came back to her. She's been out to scout the area before she got assaulted by raiders. She remembered the first gunshot, the bullet sinking into the ground in front of her feet. Shortly after that, bullets flew everywhere, leaving Yongsun with no other choice but to run for cover. Once she had found a somewhat safe spot behind the debris of what she knew once had been a hardware store, she was finally able to scan the area for a quick escape route.
Swiftly moving from one spot to the next she was almost out of the dangerzone as she felt a sharp sting on the right side of her waist, then another in her thigh. Yongsun recalled she stumbled, crying out in pain before she fell onto the dusty ground and her mind went blank.
The low rumble of what Yongsun identified as the engines of motorcycles crashed her speeding train of thoughts. Her gaze wandered to the boarded-up window, daylight seeped through the cracks and illuminated the room she was in.
Biting her lip and trying her best to ignore the sharp pain in both, waist and thigh, she slid off the bed, immediately regretting that decision as her body got gripped by a vertigo, causing the ashblond woman to stumble forward. Her hands blindly reached for anything that could support her and luckily found the back lean of a chair standing at the foot of the bed she's been resting on.
Clenching her teeth, Yongsun endured the mind-numbing pain rushing through her body, breathing heavily through her nose. Her hand moved towards her injured thigh, eyes dropping down as she realized it was bandaged.
The ashblond woman's eyebrows knitted together in confusion and as if her hand was lead by an unseen force, Yong let her palm glide across her stomach, feeling the overlapping fabric through her shirt. As if to confirm, she lifted the piece of clothing to peek down at the white bandage. Someone has been taking care of her wounds.
Yongsun wasn't really sure what to make of this. Did someone really want to save her life or was the reason she got patched up an entirely different one? Ransom maybe? Keeping her alive to squeeze out informations from her? While her mind ran wild at the possibilities, her ears detected the sound of faint voices. She could make out four different ones.
With her curiosity piqued, the ashblond woman took a few deep breathes, bracing herself for the unpleasant feeling wrecking her body as soon as she began to move again, trying as hard as she could to ignore the soupçon of nausea rippling through her.
The injured woman limped towards the window, leaning against the wall as soon as she reached it while she panted, hand clutching onto her waist, sweat had begun to form on her forehead. Taking a moment to collect herself she leaned forward, as far as her injury would allow her to, peeking through the cracks of the wooden boards.
Her eyes scanned the area, noticing two makeshift watch towers with heavily armed men, two more men near the high fence gate. Yongsun's gaze wandered and in the middle of the outpost's wide space, she spotted them. There were indeed four people standing at a table, all four leaning over the map folded out on the flat surface. They were the ones talking, one guy and three women. The first she noticed was the woman in the middle.
Long black hair flowed over her shoulders, a black snapback on her head, the visor hid most of her face. She wore a t-shirt that was mostly covered by a bulletproof vest.
Smart in a world like that.
The camouflage pants were neatly tucked into black combat boots, a holster with a gun strapped onto her right thigh. The other two women were slightly smaller than her, both black haired too, sporting the same dark color from top to bottom.
While the guy just nodded and sometimes agreed with a simple word, the three women were actively discussing. Judging by the way the woman who stood in the middle moved her finger across the map, pointing at certain spots they seemed to discuss a route.
Yongsun couldn't help but to keep her eyes fixed onto the woman with the snapback. The way she kept on exchanging looks with the other two made Yong believe she was the one leading the outpost. She saw them nod to each other in agreement. The ashblond woman watched the leader dig her hands into the pockets of her pants, gaze still fixed onto the map as if to confirm what they just had agreed upon which she did with a small but firm nod to herself.
While the smallest of the group was talking, Yongsun's heart skipped a beat as the tallest woman suddenly lifted her head, staring straight up at her. She could see her say something to the others, patting the woman to her right on the shoulder before she walked towards the entrance of the house Yongsun was in.
Yongsun's mind ran wild, her breathing picked up as she frantically looked around to find anything to defend herself with. Even though these people were the ones who brought her to safety and took care of her wounds, their motives were still left unexplained.
Sheer panic took ahold of her as she could hear the creaking of what she assumed were the stairs, followed by footsteps approaching the door. With the adrenaline rushing through every fiber of her being, Yongsun limped towards the chair, grabbing it firmly, ready to try and hurl it at the one approaching.
Her muscles tensed as the door slowly opened and in walked the woman she's been watching outside just a minute ago. Confusion was written all over her face as soon as she spotted Yongsun, back pressed against the wall, breathing heavily with the chair slightly lifted in front of her as some sort of shield. The woman would've laughed at the almost comical sight if she didn't know it was out of sheer panic and fear. For a few moments, the two of them just stared at each other.
"Hey..." the other woman greeted in a surprisingly soft tone, but still not enough to make Yongsun drop her guard, "you're awake. That's good but you shouldn't be moving around."
The slightly taller woman took a step forward, only to see Yong flinch, lifting the chair even more, wincing from the pain in her waist.
"It's okay," the black haired woman said, lifting both of her hands up, "I'm not gonna hurt you."
She could see Yongsun's eyes flicker towards the holstered gun.
"I'll reach for my gun to drop it, okay? I really mean no harm."
The woman slowly lowered her right hand, unbuckling the clasp that held the weapon secure in the holster.
The ashblond woman's heart pounded against her chest, her muscles still tensed, ready to try and dodge the bullet if one was fired, her eyes followed each and every single movement the other woman made.
Much to Yongsun's surprise the stranger stayed true to her word, squatting down to drop the gun to the floor. She slowly straightened herself, both hands still lifted, eyes fixed on Yongsun as she kicked the gun to the side to signal she really meant it.
As soon as the gun was out of the black haired woman's reach, all the tension dropped from the injured woman, along with her adrenaline level. The moment her body relaxed, her head began to swirl as another vertigo dug its claws deep into her consciousness.
Her grip loosened on the chair she's been clutching tightly, clattering loudly onto the floor as Yongsun staggered, hands reaching for nothing but air. The last thing she remembered was the other woman rushing towards her, catching her in her arms, her voice faint and distant before she blacked out.
That wraps up this one; To whoever took the time to read: Thank you very much :) I hope you enjoyed reading.

I have finally finished transcribing the XemSai werewolf fic I wrote from when I was 12. It’s not actually finished but I don't plan on doin that. I’m kinda only posting it as a shitpost anyway. So don’t try to critique it. It’s very out of character to the point Xemnas is basically a hyper empathic twink, and I’m not exaggerating that. It’s also not formatted cuz I wanted to keep that genuine historical 12 year old from 2012’s fanfic in a school notebook feel. The only things changed are spelling errors, grammar mistakes, and missing words. Otherwise it’s all directly transported right out of 2012. And trust me, this thing hurts me or than it hurts you. (Thoughts didn't stay in italics during the copy paste from Google Docs and I don't wanna fix it, let alone ever look at this thing again.)
A lone blue beast raced through the forest, crunching leaves and twigs it stepped on as it tried to escape. Suddenly the blue beast was surrounded by five others. They inched closer to it with every passing moment, deep growling emitting from the blue one. With a loud roar the supposed leader, a black and white beast, lunged forward and slashed its claws in an 'x’ on the blue's face. All at once three of the others charged at the defenseless beast. The red one chomped down furiously on the petrified blue's left hind leg. The only female bit hard upon its ear, causing the blue to yelp. A more younger, dark blonde one dug his claws into its backside, the beast finally collapsing. The youngest, still a pup, watched from the sidelines as the leader pawed at the fallen beast. The four trotted away, then the female turned, growling when she noticed the blue's nose twitch. The beast's eyes opened and it lifted his head. It barked at the female, which she responded with a low growl. “I'm sorry.” The barks spoke. “It's too late for apologies, you betrayed us and we did what we had to do to protect the pack.” The female growled. “You go against one of us and you go against all us. You should know that more than any of us, Saix.” The leader barked as he and his followers ran off back to the pack and left the blue all alone to die.
--
“Xemnas! Hurry up!” Vexen yelled. Six boys were running home after school so they could get their work done and hang out together at the park. The only problem… “Xemnas. Do we need to carry you?” Marluxia asked. Xemnas can't run. “No Marly, I can keep running.” Why does my house have to be on the other side of the forest? He was lying on the ground, a leaf stuck in his hair, breathing heavily and trying to regain himself. Zexion crouched down to face Xemnas. “You need to get in shape, Superior.” Zexion taunted, adding his 'go-by name’ that most of them called him. “Oh shut up Zexion. Just leave me here for a little while, I'll catch up later. He requested. They all respected his request and left to their own homes. After several minutes, Xemnas sat up and removed the leaves from his hair. He became silent for a moment, listening to the sounds of nature. He heard the birds chirping, squirrels climbing up trees, leaves falling off their branches, and a quiet whimpering noise from far away. Whimpering? Xemnas stood up and tried to listen carefully to where the noise was coming from. He tried to follow the noise until it became so loud, no one could miss it. He reached towards a bush, the sound of growling startled him and he flinched, taking his hand back. He grabbed part of the bush again and parted the branches to reveal a big, blue, bloody dog. Xemnas gasped and backed up at the sight of the large odd colored canine. The beast had long blue fur that looked like hair a human girl would have. A large bloody wound on its face that resembled an 'x’ was the most prominent feature on the beast. More injuries such as a small portion of his right ear was missing. It was also odd that it had floppy ears with piercings rather than pointed, like Xemnas always saw on wild dogs in the area. Its left hind-leg had a large bite wound that looked like it wouldn't stop bleeding for a long time. Claw marks on his right side stained the fur on it's back with blood. The dog was growling furiously at Xemnas in fear of being hurt anymore than it already had been. “It's okay big fella, I won't hurt you.” Xemnas spoke softly and reached his hand out. The blue canine didn't stop growling but seemed to only be trying to scare Xemnas rather than warn him of getting bitten. Xemnas ignored the attempt at scaring him and took a risk, he gently placed his hand on the beast's head. He waited a moment so that the blue could get used to his hand and accept it. The blue's growling became quieter, knowing that for now he would not be harmed, but still keeping his guard up just incase. Xemnas patted his hand on the blue's head and the growling seemed to abruptly stop all together. “You poor thing you. Who could have done such a terrible thing to a guy like you? You're so cute and fluffy I can't think of any reason someone might want to hurt you. And look at this blood, you must be in severe pain.” The blue whimpered slightly and nudged into Xemnas's touch. He moved his hands to scratch behind its ears. The beast's tail wagged at the fluffy feeling and barked happily. Xemnas jumped slightly at the loud noise the blue made and giggled, lifting its head up. “You need a name big guy.” Xemnas thought aloud. He studied the blue fur a moment, several names ran through his head like X, that's probably not even a name, Fluffy, too girly and over used, Woolfie, he wasn't even sure if the beast was a wolf, and Buddy, too common just like fluffy. Then it hit him. “I'll call you Blu!” He cheered. 'Blu’ turned his head to the side and did a quick little bark as if he was testing out his new name. “So you like the name?” Xemnas asked, getting a tail wag and hand nudge in response. “Glad you like it Blu. I'm-” “Xemnas!” He heard Marluxia calling his name. “Superior, where are you?” Xaldin shouted. “Sorry Blu, I-I gotta go.” Xemnas said. Blu whimpered and let his ears droop. Xemnas got up to leave but Blu pawed at his leg. “I'll come back tomorrow to see you, I promise. Blu.” Xemnas looked down at Blu and patted him on the head. “Superior, is that you?” Luxord asked. Xemnas ran over to his friends and they all walked away from the area. Xemnas turned back to see Blu laying behind the bush, his wounds still bleeding slightly. “Superior, why are you covered in blood?” Lexaeus asked. “Hmm, what? I'm not- oh, this is- uh- it's… not blood. It's, uh red ink. I-I dropped my pen and when I tried to pick it back up, it broke and red ink got everywhere. Why did you think it was blood?” Xemnas lied, that last sentence to be as a distraction. “Yeah Lex, why did you think you think it looked like blood?” Marluxia repeated Xemnas's question. While everyone was pestering Lex, Xemnas took a quick look at himself. His black jacket had blood at the bottom and on the sleeves. His pants also had blood and it even on his hands. “Poor Blu.” Xemnas whispered. Zexion, who had a great sense of smell, abruptly stopped his own Lex pestering and sniffed the air. “It is blood!” He shouted. Everyone stopped where they were, leaving Marluxia, Luxord, and Lexaeus in a rather odd position, and stared at Xemnas. He turned to face the others’ rather terrifying stares. “Superior, what is it that you're not telling us?” Vexen asked. And with that, Xemnas ran all the way to his house with his cat and grandfather waiting. “Why is he acting so weird?” Xaldin asked.
Ch.2
Before the bell rang Xemnas checked his backpack for the bazillionth time today just to make sure all his supplies were there. He took a couple medical supplies from his grandfather's office to bring to Blu so he can try and he him. Zipping up his bag, the bell rang and everyone left the room to get home. Walking out of the classroom he went right past all his friends and headed straight for the woods to go see Blu. “Hey, Superior! Where ya going?” Luxord called out. “Woods. That's where. Don't wait up, don't follow me. I got some private stuff I need to do.” Xemnas yelled at them in a hurry, too busy to turn around. He walked out of the school zone and entered the woods. Xemnas couldn't quite remember where he was when he found Blu, only that the bush was next to the biggest tree in the woods. Unfortunately, it always felt like the tree was in a different place every time you visit. Xemnas wandered around for quite awhile. He started getting more concerned for Blu and searched every nook and cranny in the woods. “Blu, Blu where are you? Bark if you can hear me!” Xemnas called out, but received no reply. I hope you're okay, Blu. He walked into a rather bright part of the woods where the sky had shown through all day and night. Xemnas looked high into the sky and saw the top of a large tree. He headed towards the tree in a desperate attempt to help Blu. Eventually he stopped and could see the tree a far ways away. “Blu! Are you there Blu?” He yelled. A bush to his right rustled and startled Xemnas. “Blu, is that you?” He asked. “Superior, who's Blu?” Emerging from the bush was Xemnas's closest friend, Xaldin. “Xaldin? Wha-what are you doing here?” Xemnas asked. “Well we all got worried about you so I agreed to follow you and see what you were up to.” Xaldin explained. “You really shouldn't get involved, Xaldin. I'm not even sure of what I'm doing is okay.” Xemnas warned. “What are you doing? Does this have anything to do with what or who Blu is?” Xaldin questioned. “Listen, it's nothing against you or the others but, I just don't want you guys getting involved. I really think it's for the best if you just go home and leave me to my own business.” Xemnas told him, which obviously upset Xaldin. “What could be so private that you can't let us know, not even me, and I've known you longer than all of the others!” At this point, the two friends were getting furious at each other. “If you wanna know so bad then I'll tell you! I saw a wild dog yesterday that was hurt really bad and so today I brought some medical supplies to help him and I didn't want you guys to find out because I knew you would want me to stay away from Blu because he could be dangerous and I don't care about that, I just want to help him because there's something special about Blu, I just know it. I even felt this weird connection with him, like we needed each other somehow!” Xemnas finished his long explanation and breathed heavily from the loud, fast yelling at his friend. Xaldin just stood there for a moment, certainly confused from the speed his friend was talking inm “You… found a wild dog, and it was hurt?” Xemnas, finally collecting his breath, stood upright and cleared his mind. “Yes Xaldin, I found a wild dog and he's hurt. Are you going to tell me to leave it alone and let nature take its course or not tell a soul and help?” Xemnas desperately awaited a response, hoping that his friend wouldn't tell an adult. “Superior,” Xaldin started, “if you really believe you can help the animal, then be my guest. As long as I get to help.” Xemnas ran up to Xaldin and gave him a big hug. “Thank you Xaldin!” He simply patted Xemnas on the back and smiled. “So where is this 'Blu’ at, Superior?” Xaldin asked. “I found him in a bush near The Tree That Never Was.” Xemnas answered, pointing towards the giant oak tree. “Then let's go get him.” Xaldin replied. They both walked for a few minutes towards the tree, which got bigger the closer they got to it. The reason it was named The Tree That Never Was is because long ago the townspeople chopped down the only oak tree in the forest and over night three appeared the way it is, a forty foot tree just popped up overnight. They reached the tree and stopped for a moment. “So where's Blu?” Xaldin asked. “Somewhere around here. Blu shouldn't be that difficult to find. He is blue after all.” At the sound of Blu's name being said so by Xemnas, a low bark was heard nearby. Xemnas ran from the tree and towards the bark. He called Blu's name again and another bark was heard. Xaldin walked near a bush and a loud roar erupted from behind the bush. The roar scared Xaldin to the ground. From behind the bush a big blue dog limped out, its fangs barred and it growled deeply. Blood covered most of the face and back and it couldn't even place its leg on the ground. Xemnas ran in front of Xaldin and guarded him. “Blu calm down, he's my friend, he won't hurt you. I came back just like I promised and I can help you too.” Blu stopped growling and his tail was wagging like a puppy's. “See Xaldin, he's only scared. He's just trying to protect himself.” “Then why isn't he growling at you?” Xaldin asked. “He trusts me and knows I want to help him.” Xemnas replied. He walked over to the dog and scratched behind his ears. “What happened to him?” Xaldin asked. “I'm not really sure, but maybe he was attacked by people, or other wild dogs.” Xemnas answered. He took off his backpack and opened it up to reveal all the medical supplies. “Where did you get that stuff?” Xaldin asked. “I got them from my grandfather's office. He locked himself in his lab again today so I took them for Blu.” Xemnas pulled out some peroxide and poured some on Blu's face wound who flinched and whimpered. “So what are you gonna do with Blu, take him home with you or something?” Xaldin inquired. “You and questions, I swear. But that is something to consider. Maybe I should take him home with me.” Xemnas bandaged up Blu's head and moved to the side to treat the wound on his right. “That's a crazy idea! What if he freaks out and kills your cats or bites your grandfather, or your dad, maybe even your brother if he comes to visit! What if he bites YOU!?” Xaldin freaked out, the worst case scenarios running through his mind. Xemnas, who was unfazed by Xaldin's concern continued to treat Blu by moving onto heal his damaged leg. “Xaldin calm down, Blu isn't a threat to Terra, Vanitas, Grandfather, Dad, Ansem, or me. Blu is too nice. You like cats, right Blu?” Surprisingly, Blu let out a deep bark in response. Unfortunately, they couldn't tell if Blu was agreeing or disagreeing with what Xemnas said. “I still don't completely trust Blu. What are you gonna tell your grandfather, how are you even going to get him to your place if he can barely walk? And you do realize tomorrow's Saturday so you won't be able to see him.” Xaldin informed the other teen. “I know that if Grandfather finds him I'll be in big trouble, but I think I have an idea for a way to get him to my house today without making him walk.” Xemnas moved on to fix Blu’s ear though he couldn't do much since part of it was ripped off. “What are you planning Superior?” Xaldin asked. “Well, you remember that red wagon I had that we would ride down the street in, right?” Xaldin nodded and Xemnas continued. “I'm gonna go home and get the wagon while you stay here and watch Blu.” “What! I don't trust that beast! What if it attacks me, what if he runs away, what if-” “Fine, you go to my house and get the wagon while I stay here and watch Blu. He actually trusts me, unlike you trusting him ya big sissy.” “...I'll watch Blu.” “That's what I thought.” Xemnas walked out of the woods and back to his house. He went in and placed his backpack in his room. He searched in the garage for the wagon and when he couldn't find it, he headed straight to his grandfather's lab. Xemnas knocked on the door which opened by itself. He stepped in and looked around. His cats were in the lab and meowed at each other. The brown cat, Terra, walked towards the back of the room and pawed at a red shelf on the floor. Looking at it, Xemnas realized it was the wagon and his grandfather borrowed it to put some jars full of samples on. Xemnas walked over to the wagon and patted Terra on the head then removed the jars from the wagon. He wheeled it out of the house and down the street to the woods. He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and checked it to see that he had a text message from Xaldin. Where are you? At the end of the street I have the wagon. Hurry, I'm kinda scared with this dog next to me watching me text. Hi Blu! jffhgddsl What? I think Blu said hi. He put his phone away and pulled the wagon deeper into the woods until he saw Xaldin and Blu. “There you are. So let's get him on the wagon.” Xaldin said. “Can you get up yourself Blu, or do you need our help?” Xemnas asked. Blu tried to limp his way over to the wagon and he tried to place his front paws up on the wagon but he couldn't jump all the way up. Xaldin pushed Blu up and Xemnas pulled him forward so he was secure in the middle. “Xaldin, you pull the wagon.” Xemnas demanded. “What? Why me?” Xaldin questioned. “Look at you, then look at me, which one of us do you think can pull the wagon better?” Xemnas sarcastically asked. “I'll pull the wagon.” Caldin replied. That's also what I thought. Xemnas and Xaldin walked through the woods with Blu on the wagon. Xaldin pulled the wagon out of the woods and they ended up on dirt road. The two boys walked on to Xemnas's house. Once they reached the driveway Xaldin's phone beeped and checked it. “Sorry Superior, my mom wants me home now.” Xaldin said. “Aw man. I guess I'll see you Monday then.” Xemnas said, sounding disappointed. “I'll see ya later, and you too ya big blue puffball.” Xaldin scratched the top of Blu's head, waved by to Xemnas, and left for his house. I hope he doesn't tell anyone. “Alright Blu, let's get you inside.” Xemnas pulled the wagon in the house which took longer than it would have if Xaldin were pulling it. He closed the door behind him and assumed his grandfather wasn't home from the research facility yet so he left the door unlocked. Xemnas helped Blu down from the wagon and let him lay on the couch. He heard meowing in his grandfather's lab. Xemnas glanced at the clock, four thirty-six, way past the cat's lunch time. “Alright Blu, you stay here while I feed the cats. I'll be right back.” Xemnas told the dog, scratching behind his ear. He went into the pantry and got two bowls full of cat food. He headed to the lab and placed down the two bowls. Terra and Vanitas ran toward the bowls and chowed down. Xemnas watched his cats eat for a moment before getting up and leaving to check on Blu. He left the lab and entered the living room. Something felt odd in the room which made Xemnas feel uneasy. “Blu, are you okay?” He asked. At the sound of the name, a man on the couch where Blu was turned around. He had long blue hair and yellow eyes. His ears were pierced and the tips were pointed like an elf. His face was slightly bandaged and some blood was shown in his face. He was dressed in a long black coat that zipped down to his waist. “Hello Xemnas.” He said. “Who are you?” Xemnas asked, rather nervous. “It's me, Blu.”
Ch.3
“Y-you're not Blu. You can't be, Blu's a dog not a human.” Xemnas stuttered. “Well, actually, Xemnas, I'm not really a dog. I'm more of a wolf dog, half wolf half dog.” The man stated. “I don't know what you're babbling about but I'm calling the police.” Xemnas went to the kitchen and reached for the phone but the man jumped over the couch, ran into Xemnas, and landed on top of him. “Please don't Xemnas. I know it's hard to believe, but you gotta trust me.” Xemnas glanced behind him and saw a rather peculiar seeming object. It was blue and curled up slightly. Looking closer, Xemnas noted that it looked furry. The man caught onto Xemnas looking. He looked behind himself to see what caught his attention. “Oh this? It's my tail. Now you believe me, right?” “What are you?” Xemnas asked. “I already told you, I'm a wolf dog.” “You can't be, you're a human… with a tail. There's no way you can be Blu, let alone any animal in general.” “I know it's hard to believe, but some animals are capable of transformation. Not just into humans, but anything, and for some they aren't very good at transforming so they retain so they retain a trait from their real form. In my case, my tail.” “Why should I trust you?” “I know your name is Xemnas.” The man said. “That's not enough, you could have seen my name anywhere.” Xemnas responded. “...You told me I was cute and fluffy yesterday.” He replied. Xemnas blushed slightly, sure he remembers saying that to Blu, but he never thought he would understand what Xemnas said. “I… I still don't know if I can trust you.” The man sighed disappointingly. He reached up and moved his bangs behind his ears. At a closer look Xemnas could see that the top part of his right ear was missing and the edge was slightly jagged. “...Blu…?” The man reached down and enveloped Xemnas in a big hug. “Oh Xemnas! I knew you'd know it was me!” “Okay, yeah that's good. Now can you let me get off the kitchen floor please.” Blu stood up and helped Xemnas to his feet. “I still don't understand though. Why… how… what are… Why don't you just explain all this to me. Who are you really Blu?” They sat down on the couch and Blu thought of where he should begin. “You see, the world is full of more wonders then the normal human truly sees. What most people see as a… wolf, for example, is actually a wolf but with great abilities. Like many animals, a wolf can transform into anything they please. Wolves who are still learning or just not that good often have trouble transforming into non-living things. They also retain something from their true form, like I said earlier for me it’s my tail. It's a little different for me though. As a wolf dog I only have limited transforming abilities. I'm lucky though 'cause its very rare. Anyone you see could really be an animal. I want to thank you though. You just happened to come along after I started to give up. Because you helped me I regain enough strength to use this form to talk to you. When you left that first day I was afraid you would never come back. You wouldn't believe how happy I was to see you again. I'm so grateful.” Blu hugged Xemnas tightly and placed his head between his neck and shoulder. Xemnas flinched and blushed slightly but placed one hand on Blu's back and the other on the back of his head. “How did you get hurt Blu?” “...I-I'm not ready to talk about it.” It was silent for a moment as Xemnas thought. This is crazy. There's no way this can be true, but yet here he is in front of me as a human. Should I tell Xaldin or the others? What if Grandfather ask about him? I need to stop worrying about this and wonder what I'm gonna do about Blu. Something alerted them and Xemnas reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out his phone. Blu looked over and saw Xemnas read a text message. Xemnas looked over the text that Xaldin sent him. Hey just got home. How's it going with that dog? Xal, we need to talk. Only seconds after sending his reply Xemnas and Blu heard the front door opening. “Quick Blu, hide!” Xemnas pushed Blu off the couch and shoved him in his room. “But Xe-” Xemnas shut the door behind Blu and rushed back into the living room. His heart was racing as the door flew open and he saw his grandfather. “Oh, there you are Xemnas. What did I tell you about leaving the front door unlocked?” His grandfather said. “It must be locked because if Father or Brother decide to come home they won't be able to because they don't deserve it.” Xemnas said. “Atta boy.” His grandfather patted his shoulder and headed to his lab. “Did you feed Terra and Vanitas?” “Yes I did.” “Why is your wagon in the living room and not in my lab?” Dammit, I forgot about the wagon! “Me and Xaldin needed it to… uh… move a… a rock!” A rock!? How stupid am I!? His grandfather just stared at him confused. “You had to move… a rock?” He asked Xemnas. His phone suddenly rang in his pocket and he fumbled to get it. “Yeah and looky here, it's Xaldin. I should take this.” He ran into his room and locked the door behind him. When he answered his phone he noticed a blue tail poking out from under his bed. Hiding under the bed wasn't really necessary. “Hey Xal.” He said. “Hey, what did you wanna talk about?” “Well… Blu isn't any normal dog.” Xemnas saw Blu peak his head out at the sound of his name, who had already turned back into a dog. “What do you mean?” Xaldin asked. “Do you think your mom will let you come over?” “Probably…” “Then get over here now.” Before he got a response Xemnas closed his phone and put it back in his pocket. Blu crawled out from under the bed and limped over to Xemnas. He placed his hand under Blu's chin and bent down to his level. “Your leg still hurt?” He asked. Blu nodded in response but perked his ears up when he heard a knock at the bedroom door. Blu went under the bed again and Xemnas turned and opened the door, but only slightly in case Blu was visible. His grandfather was at the door. “Oh, hey, Gramps.” Xemnas greeted him nervously. “Xemnas, can I keep the babies in your room? Some of the chemicals in there I need to open and I don't want the little darlings getting ahold of them.” He asked his grandson. Why do you always call the cats your babies or darlings? “Uh… that might not be a good idea.” Xemnas replied. “Good idea? Why thanks, I'll go get them!” He said. “Wait! I didn't…” Why does he do that every time I refuse something? He came back with both Terra amd Vanitas and placed them in Xemnas's room. When the door closed Blu came out and encountered the cats. All three barked and meowed at each other and Xemnas assumed they were all talking. He walked over to his window and looked for Xaldin. Where are you? He turned back around and when he came face to face with human Blu he jumped and screamed. “Stop doing that Blu!” He yelled. “I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you.” Blu pouted and he tucked his tail down. Oh great, here comes the guilt. “No, I'm sorry. Just let me know when you're gonna do that.” Xemnas patted Blu's head and lightly giggled at how funny Blu looked with the bandages wrapped on his head and face. “The felines say the old man is crazy.” Blu stated and the cats meowed in agreement. Xemnas giggled again. “He is a little cooky, but I think that every scientist is a little psycho, even Vexen is going crazy and he wants to be a scientist. Xemnas heard a knock on his window and looked past the blinds to see Xaldin. “Okay Blu, stay here, watch Terra and Van, and I'll go get Xaldin.” Man, he gets here fast. He left his room and got the front door to let Xaldin in. “Alright, will you tell me now?” Xaldin asked. “Why don't I just show you.” Xemnas pulled Xaldin into his room and luckily Blu was still a human. “Who the hell is that?” Xaldin asked. “Don't you remember me? It's Blu.” Blu said. “Okay, I know this is hard to believe but-” Xaldin raised his hand in front of Xemnas's face. “I'm going home.” “No wait! It's true really!” Xemnas yelled, stopping him from leaving. “Oh, I believe you. I just don't want anything to do with this.” Xaldin pushed his younger friend aside and left the room. Running in front of him in the hall, Xemnas blocked his oath with his arms. “Please Xaldin, you're my closest friend. I've known you longer than any of the others. I think you're the only one who can help.” Xemnas pleaded. Xaldin was irritated by now at his friend. “Help with what? When his wounds heal just put him back into the wild. It's that simple!” Blu limped into the hall and used the wall as support, the cats peeking from behind the door. “I can't go back. My pack won't accept me.” Xaldin turned to face him. “What do you mean?” “They thought I was a traitor so they chased me out.” Blu tried to place his foot firmly on the ground and yelped. He almost fell to the ground but Xaldin grabbed his arm and caught Blu before he fell. Blu looked up at Xaldin with yellow piercing eyes. Xaldin felt a light tug at his heart and quickly looked away from the puppy dog eyes. What is it about animals that make me want to care about everything? “I'll stay…” Blu jumped up and snuggled his arm, and Xemnas ran over to hug him. “Thank you so much Xal!” What have I gotten myself into?
Ch. 4
Xaldin and Xemnas sat on the couch in the living room watching wolf Blu play with the cats. “So, what do we do with him?” Xaldin asked. “...Well he definitely needs to stay while his wounds heal… and I guess if I word it right I can convince Gramps to let me keep him.” “But he's part wolf. It's possible that he could snap at anything. And what if he bites someone, he could be put down!” Xaldin worried. “Blu seems too sweet to bite someone. I'll just keep him on a tight leash so he doesn't misbehave.” Xemnas reassured him. “You know, a leash might not be a bad idea.” “I'm not putting him on an actual leash, Xal.” “Fine then, but don't come crying to me when he bites someone's finger off.” Xaldin simply got a glare from Xemnas. He turned his attention back to Blu. “Blu, you hungry?” Xemnas asked.  Lu barked back and wagged his tail joyfully. “Oh great Superior, what are you gonna feed him?” Xaldin asked sarcastically. “I could always feed you to him.” “Touche, Superior, touche.” Blu limped to the kitchen and sat down to observe everything. Xemnas and Xaldin followed behind him. Xemnas looked around at all their food, looking in the fridge he asked, “Should we feed him human food or animal food?” He looked back at Xaldin to see he was awkwardly staring towards Blu. “What are you staring a-Aahh!” He turned around mid sentence to be surprised by human Blu. “What did I say about doing that?!” Xemnas's voice got very high pitched and Xaldin snickered at him. “Oh… I'm sorry Xemnas.” Blu tucked his tail down. “No, I'm sorry. Just… please, give a warning.” Blu nodded and Vanitas jumped on the counter. He pawed at Blu to get his attention and when he turned around Vanitas seemed to be telling him something. “Vanitas said the old man keeps a stash of sweets in his lab.” Xemnas and Xaldin momentarily glanced at each other. “Blu, he's got a lot of chocolate in that stash of his. I don't think that'd be healthy, ya know the whole 'dogs with chocolate has a heart attack’ thing?” Xemnas told him. Blu didn't understand the issue so Xaldin had to tell him the story about Marluxia's neighbor's dog that died because the man's daughter gave it chocolate. Of course that made Blu terrified of all human food, so Xemnas ended up feeding wolf Blu some meat from the freezer. “I still can't believe any of this.” Xemnas said as they watched Blu eat. “Yeah, well I've seen crazier things.” Xaldin told him. “What are you talking about?” Xemnas asked. “Let's just say that there are weirder things in that forest than shape shifting wolves.” He said to his younger friend. It was some sort of silent moment between all of them as Xemnas wondered what that could possibly mean. Blu finished eating only seconds after, it was obviously a while since his last meal. It was now getting dark and maybe around seven or so. “What are you gonna do with him when you're at school?” Xaldin asked.

And that’s it! To elaborate on a bit Vanitas was hoping Saix would eat some chocolate and die. Zexion was secretly a wolf. And I have no idea what the thing Xaldin mentions at the end was supposed to be about. Oh and Terra and Vanitas could shape shift too. And Axel set up Saix so he wouldn’t get found out. That’s all I remember that wasn’t brought up in what was already written.
