Hello, Apologies if this is a topic you've covered before! One very common thing I've heard across discussions that lean pro-isreal is how disappointed they are with the left, and more rarely that they're considering switching parties due to this.
I've yet to actually see anyone bring it up, but Russia specifically (+China to a lesser degree) has a HUGE amount to gain from pushing a radical pro-palestine > pro-hamas pipeline and dividing the western left just like that. Especially since its also so close to election season for americans. That kind of disappointment is the exact reason you're seeing so many inflammatory pro-palestine (and pretty much only that if you're on tiktok or twitter) posts, but its damn near impossible to point out that the complete lack of nuance is 90% deliberate manipulation from a source that is very very skilled at it.
Or maybe I'm paranoid? But seriously, after it came out that Russia was a driving factor behind both sides of BLM it might be worth it to keep in mind and bring up. Especially to people who have been spreading shit originating from Jackson Hinkle. Unfortunately its gotten to the point people just perpetuate it themselves, but he was one of the big sources of misinformation and incendiary content in the beginning
That is definitely going on. And as with so much about Russia's conspiring and foul play, it can be hard to know how much is directed top-down from Putin and how much is just "okay everybody, remember to spread as much chaos and start as many fights as possible, and have fun!". Russia constantly tries to gussy up its brand of totalitarianism with Christian traditionalist symbolism, and they are, uh, let's say not fond of Islamist terrorist groups. They've got good trade partnerships with Israel. But they also hate the West, hate anything associated with America or traditional power alliances, and, of course, they hate Jews. As you said, they did fund social media accounts that were both pro- and anti-BLM, just like during the Soviet era they maintained their "antifascist" Berlin Wall while also sponsoring Neo-Nazi groups. Far more important than any specific issue is just making sure American and Western societies are shaken-up and divided. If it turned out Russia was behind some "level Gaza" posts right alongside "there were no dead babies," I would not be surprised at all.

Lore about My Frosty the Snowman sona – Mistletoe
During Frosty's first meeting with Karen and her friends, the snowman creates a sheep out of snow and names her Mistletoe. And like with his top hat, he uses a magical bell that brings his creation to life. Frosty introduces Mistletoe to the children, but she seems a bit shy to new people. Frosty reassures Mistletoe that the children are his friends and they brought him to life, and it makes her bring confidence to speak to them. As Frosty and Mistletoe fear that they are about to start melting unless they can get to the North Pole. The children took them to the train to get there, but despite not having money for tickets, Professor Hinkle's rabbit Hocus Pocus, Frosty, Mistletoe and Karen board a northbound freight train's refrigerator car filled with ice cream and Christmas cakes while Hinkle follows them to reclaim his hat from Frosty.
Karen starts to get hypothermia, it worries Mistletoe but Frosty realizes that she couldn't stand the extremely cold temperatures. Everyone gets off the train to find somewhere to warm Karen. By nightfall, Frosty, Mistletoe and Hocus all struggle to bring Karen to the forest. Hocus asks the forest animals to build a fire for Karen, Frosty and Mistletoe then look for Santa whom he assumed that he can save Karen and bring her to the North Pole. But unfortunately, Hinkle arrives and puts out the fire. Frosty, Mistletoe and Karen flee from him and arrive at a greenhouse, which they go inside to keep Karen warm, but then Hinkle arrives and locks them inside.
Hocus and Santa arrived and see Frosty and Mistletoe melted which made Karen distraught. Santa comforts her and explains to her that they are made of Christmas magic and will return every winter. He then opens the door and the winter wind blows in magic snow to remake Frosty and Mistletoe. Hinkle arrives and demands his hat back, but Santa threatens to not bring him any presents, he comments back that it's not fair. Santa punishes him to write down apologies for what he did to Frosty and Mistletoe a hundred zillion time. Which then in his stocking. They put the hat on Frosty and the bell on Mistletoe, which revives them and Santa drops Karen back to her home. He takes Frosty and Mistletoe back to the North Pole, promising that they will return every year with the magical Christmas snow.
Mistletoe considers Frosty like a father to her, they both are made of snow and use a magical item that brings them to life.

The Super Bowl ad post is in bad taste. The ad doesn’t mention Israel, it doesn’t say anything about Palestine. It doesn’t take a second pair of eyes to see that many people are taking advantage of the horrible things Israel is doing to peddle modern day blood libel and other antisemitism (which shouldn’t be used when talking about Israeli Jews, but is particularly transparent when accusing Jews across the globe of dual loyalty). I don’t think it’s a surprise that people are using prime ad space to talk about rising antisemitics. Talking about antisemitism is not inherently undermining Palestine. The tweet is essentially asserting that American media is bought and paid for by Israeli schemers. That’s antisemitic.
I’m not accusing you of anything. I just wanted to point it out. The same thing happened with the Spotify wrapped results over the winter. People jumped on natural yearly variation in the numerical date of the release like Israel had paid off a Swedish music company to manipulate American attention It’s just not plausible.
Again, I think this probably just slipped through because the rest of the post is substantive. We should be talking about the recent killings. It’s disconcerting that the American attention span is so fickle. But Israel isn’t disguising their bombings inside American sporting events.
I’m sorry, I genuinely don’t think badly of you.
You really don’t need to apologize—I appreciate the fact that you are sending me a message, as I know misinformation is rampant right now and I have fallen for it before. I just want to ask for some clarification: the ad I saw was one sponsored by the Israeli government, the Bring Them Home ad that was about the Israeli hostages. Are you talking about the Robert Kraft ad? Robert Kraft has historically held ties to Israel and has even sponsored a passport program that sends teenagers to Israel, which has made me more skeptical of the ad. But, the ad itself doesn’t focus on that, like you said. I also do completely agree that the rising antisemitism should be addressed along with the rise in Islamophobia as well.
I appreciate you sending me a message. I find it incredibly disturbing that people are using the Palestinian genocide as a justification for anti-semitism and hate speech and it makes me extremely upset to see people use the Palestinian cause to peddle antisemitic ideas and white supremacy (looking at Jackson Hinkle and Doctor Anastasia Loupis as prominent examples).
But regarding your point about American media being bought and paid for by Israel, I would like to point to the fact that multiple major news sites have been accused of pro-Israel bias (there’s a good breakdown of it by the intercept), and that the New York Times in particular has pushed false narratives such as the Times Investigation into the alleged sexual assault on October 7th that lacked any substantive evidence. I don’t think Israel is funding American media since that to me is a very serious accusation that feels a bit like the conspiracies surrounding the whole “Jewish cabal is running the world in the shadows” which is so beyond bigoted and deeply concerning that anyone believes in that, but I do think that the pro Israel bias should not be ignored.
There is substantial evidence of Israel having involvement in American affairs though, AIPAC being the best example, as they actively donate to congressional campaigns and have fiercely lobbied in congress. Granted, this isn’t necessarily related to the media.
I want to emphasize the fact that I am not saying these things to spite you at all. I genuinely appreciate you sending me a message because I know that I am susceptible to misinformation and false narratives just like everyone else. I can’t imagine how hard it has been for anti Zionist Jews at this time, given that they are experiencing hate on all sides.
I would also like to say not to you, but to anyone who sees this post that antisemitism is NOT welcome on my blog and antisemites can fuck off. Same goes for any anti-Arab and Islamophobic rhetoric.

Rachel recently sat down with Variety to discuss her show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Read the article below.
Like the character she plays on Amazon’s “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” Rachel Brosnahan has proved herself to have hidden talents. Previously known for her dramatic work on series like “House of Cards” and “Manhattan,” Brosnahan is showing off a deft gift for comedy as the ’50s-era housewife-turned-standup. That’s what earned her a Golden Globe trophy as best actress in a comedy for the first season (as well as a series prize), and made her a frontrunner in the Emmy race.
During a break in production on season two, she talks with Variety about why a period piece is relevant today, being told she “wasn’t funny” — and the surprising injury she sustained on set.
For a show that’s set in the 50s, it feels so relevant now. What is it about that showrunners Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino are doing that makes the show feel so timely?
I think that the scenes surrounding some of the battles that women faced then are still very relevant today. And then women being considered secondary citizens or this idea of women not being funny or having to fit a certain mold and apologize for their ambitions. Those are all things that women still face today and I think that those ideas have never not been relevant and Amy and Dan have managed to bring them to life with a fresh eye. But also, the story at its core is about a woman finding the voice that she didn’t know she had. And that’s also something that’s happening all over the country and all over the world, right now.
I was just reading an interview where you were saying that you were once told that you weren’t funny.
This is gonna be the thing that ends up on my tombstone, “Was once told, not funny.”

I don’t know how to say this in a way that totally makes sense, but it became something that was just understood. When you’re really young and you’re figuring out who you are and what your strengths are, the feedback that was given regarding my auditions, enough times, was kind of “She’s just not funny. Not really for sitcoms.” And so I guess I mostly stopped going into that stuff and focused on other strengths. And so when the show came across my desk, I was very nervous about the idea of even approaching comedy. Because I felt like that was something that I’d internalized, but not in a negative way. But now I’m kicking myself for limiting myself in that way earlier. Because this has been such a fulfilling, learning process and an important one.
I do think it took someone visionary to look at you and your body of work and be like, “Yes, she’s perfect for this and yes, she can do this.” Do you feel that?
I don’t know what they were thinking. But, yes, it was a leap for sure and one that I’m eternally grateful that all the powers involved took.
Are there things you didn’t get to do in the first season that you want to do in the second?
Something I’m looking forward to exploring more in the second season is the tension between Midge’s three very distinct and different worlds. She’s a mother and a daughter and a, possibly, wife/ex-wife, as it left off in the first season. She’s a working woman now. She has a job that she loves and she’s also a budding stand-up and none of those worlds really gel together. Though I’m looking forward to watching her try to balance and I think that the more invested she becomes in each of the three, particularly the work and the stand-up, the harder that juggling will become. I’m looking forward to seeing how that unfolds.
What have you learned from the experience of making the first season?
I feel like I learned to be braver in the first season than maybe I’ve ever felt. Midge is an extremely empowered and confident and pretty fearless woman and finding that on a daily basis is not always easy. And I feel like, hopefully, I’ve absorbed some of those things myself, moving into season two. There’s both less and more pressure going into season two, right? We know what it is, we’re so grateful that people responded to the show but also now we want to make sure that this season’s even better than the last one.
Do you feel that pressure?
A little bit, but it’s motivating. It’s a nice kind of pressure. The pressure that only comes from feeling that people responded to the art that we’re putting out into the world. And though we don’t want to let them down, but we also don’t wanna let ourselves down and I feel good about what we’ve done so far and we’re excited to keep pushing those boundaries.
Now that the showrunners have seen what you can do, is more coming?
I’m sure it’s going to get more challenging in ways that I couldn’t possibly imagine, in some of the weirdest ways. I’ve already sustained an injury from an unexpected stunt.
What happened?
Well, I can’t say much without giving everything away but it involved a rolling chair and some choreography. Took a little tumble, so I’m learning new skills. Again without giving anything away, we finished last season and I got this text from Amy going “Can you ride a bike?” And heard that [co-star] Marin [Hinkle] got a text from Amy going, “Can you speak French?” So they’re definitely going to keep challenging us in season two. I’m thinking they just like to watch us suffer a little bit.
You just mentioned you were just at a costume fitting. How much does that inform the show? Does that help you get into character?
Enormously. But the ability to transform so completely with costumes and hair and makeup makes my job easier. There’s less pretending involved. I can look in the mirror and see someone very different from myself and those are my favorite kind of characters, the ones that feel furthest from me. Midge’s outward appearance is very important to her and I think that it’s something the attention paid to her appearance and the way she is presenting herself to the world is part of what makes her feel empowered. So the costumes are huge and Donna Zakowska, our costume designer, is absolutely brilliant and her attention to detail continues to astound me. The creations and the places that she looks for inspiration, I’m blown away every time I step foot in the new fittings.
The awards consideration, the fact that you’re getting all this buzz, what does all that mean to you?
It’s such a lovely feeling to know that everybody’s hard work and literal blood, sweat and tears has been recognized. The awards stuff is great but actually feels less important than the fact that it feels like the show has touched such a wide variety of people. That’s what makes us feel the best. And awards stuff is great because it means that, hopefully, we get to keep going. That we get to have a job for a little bit longer and a job we love, at that. And it’s obviously an honor but the coolest part has been to hear from young women, especially, but also older men who couldn’t say that they were essentially coerced into watching the show by their wives or daughters and have fallen in love with it, as well. It’s nice to know that people love it as much as we do. That feels like the greatest reward.
Are you recognized more because of this role?
In New York, that’s not as much of a thing as it is in say, Los Angeles, so if people are recognizing me, I may not always know it. But I also look very different in my real life when I’m walking the dog up in Harlem, you know? So it’s not been something that feels like an enormous shift. The question I keep getting asked is, “How has your life changed?” And it feels like that’s a funny question because at the core, I feel like it hasn’t. But strangers can say my last name now, which has been very exciting. That’s never happened to me before.
Is there a moment you’re proudest of when you look back over the first season?
There’s a set in episode seven. It’s been fondly referred to as the epic take-down of Sophie Lennon and that set, in discussions with Amy and Dan was kind of being talked about as a place where Midge really comes into her own as a comedian. Really is able to combine her impulsiveness and her stream of consciousness style with a more polished understanding of what it means to, say, interact with an audience or to have certain pieces prepared and then she naturally goes off the rails. But i was the first time where I noticed I felt more comfortable stepping onto the stage and I was able to kind of clock how much I had learned about the more technical side of doing this form of comedy. I remember looking out at the audience and feeling, so distinctly, like we were in it together and it was the first time I really went into one feeling like it was gonna be okay. It was a place where I really felt that parallel journey between Midge and myself. And it was a very cool moment.
Is there one moment where you feel like you really owned this, that the part really became you?
No. But I think if I ever really reach that point, I’m not working hard enough.

I ran off from her and it was really windy and she called me several times to go to her and I didn't. She went to investigate something in a barn and there were these dogs that were killing destroying this woman. Cat Adams and Lindsey Vonn was let out 2 days ago without legally and the team hadn't been notified hadn't heard.
Spencer had just recently been released out of prison after spending six months they had just killed scratch and Aaron was out of the witness protection and back with the team as a agent and not unit chief
While they were on a local case in Virginia Spencer had been stabbed repeatedly in the stomach, left side, and the chest he was practically bleeding out in Ashley's arms JJ and do CPR on him several times and kept him alive until the ambulance came.
Now Ashley and Luke were called in to Spencer's ICU he was currently receiving two bags of blood oxygen in his nose he wasn't on life support or anything they had him stable.
Aaron and Emily both looked at Ashley.
"Guys we called you in here because we sending Spencer someplace secret to recover. Now your phones that you have we're going to put something in it that won't give the location you are actually at but whatever location you choose to put on your phone. You guys will be with Spencer. You guys were also be able to talk to any of the team members that you want to and if you want you can consult with cases."Emily started to explain hating this idea already.
"We are having you go with Spencer to help not really to keep him safe but to keep him grounded. Now as far as everyone else is concerned Spencer is dead he never even made it off the table." Aaron said softly
"I mean the reason why we're letting you contact team members is so everything will be as normal as possible. Like I said the only thing you cannot say is that Spencer is alive. But, I feel that it's necessary for you guys to be able to talk to the team because we are a family."Emily explained softly
"Ok but I'm getting Derek he's going to be in on this too." Luke crossed his arms not liking this but knowing it was the best option.
"Derek is on there she will be joining us in the room here shortly." Emily assured them

I apologize so much for this being super late and delayed. I've just felt really unmotivated because I've just been feeling really shitty and really tired a lot lately, but I am sorry this is so much later than I'd like it to be.

Chapter 24
It seemed like the high ladies were either throwing or planning a party every week. They did it more so to show off their money and glory rather than the socialize with their acquaintances. Amber Lynn got sick of them fairly quickly. She had to go to them nonetheless. If she didn’t go they’d say things about her, spread rumors around her, hate her. She knew the thoughts she had were irrational, but she had let the anxiety behind them control her after a while.
Amber Lynn Ranez was a difficult situation of a person. Even though she was born to one of the four high families of Novak, she never felt like she belonged with them. Second born child to the Ranez name, she would always be nothing compared to her elder sister, Saturday. Amber Lynn always felt too humble for the hierarchy, but too pretentious for the rest of Novak.
She had tuned out everything until she heard, “Amber Lynn Ranez will now speak,” from the front of the ballroom.
Her head shot up and her hazel eyes went wide. She had told Ashlyn she didn’t want to speak, but no one ever listened. They all brushed it off, they told her to just face her fears.
Fears. Fear. Children feared the fictional monsters lurking under their beds. Teens feared not being sexually pleasing enough for their peers. Adults feared losing all the money they worked so hard on earning. Amber Lynn feared everything; rational or irrational, it didn’t matter. She was a marionette and anxiety was the puppeteer.
She closed her and breathed in deeply. It didn’t make it go away, nothing did, but it helped it get to the next step. The mask went on with the devilish grin on her face. No one ever saw the Amber Lynn who sat in her room, panicking and crying herself to sleep. They only saw the Amber Lynn she wanted them to see.
They only saw the spicy young girl with the short blond hair. They only saw the girl who wouldn’t shut her mouth even when the times were inappropriate- god dammit Amber Lynn just shut up!
She walked across the floor, her hips swaying with each step. The orange fabric of her dress flowed behind her. The floor was her’s in this moment and the smirk on her face hid any nerves she felt. “Ah,” Ashlyn spoke across the room, “here she comes.”
Finally, she got to the stage. She avoided making eye direct eye contact with anyone during her walk, but she wasn’t able to do that in front of everyone. If she stared at the ground the whole time she knew everyone would whisper about it, but if she looked at the people she’d stutter and embarrass herself.
Too late. When she left the zone she was in, she saw everyone staring straight at her. Browns, blues, greens, hazels, and grays all watched her. She froze. With all those eyes on her she started to feel the pressure.
She couldn’t speak. No matter how hard she tried to push out the words, they stayed lodged in the back of her throat.
The eyes all around went from interest to unamusement. That only made it worse for Amber Lynn. She tried so desperately to say something, at least one thing, but the panic rendered her mute.
The attendees began to talk amongst themselves, and Amber Lynn had a hinkling it was about her. She couldn’t help the tears beginning to fall from her hazel eyes, but she pleaded with herself to at least wait until she got back to her seat to cry. Her eyes wouldn’t listen. The tears flowed down her cheeks. Luckily, she didn’t notice any of the audience watching her meltdown.
She turned to Ashlyn and gave her a looked that asked if she could go sit down. Instead of answering, Ashlyn rolled her eyes and let out, “Are you crying, Amber Lynn?”
It was loud enough that the people heard her. Heads turned back to the stage and eyes locked back onto Amber Lynn. This was a scene out of her nightmares.
She didn’t wait any longer for Ashlynn to tell her it was okay to be seated. She didn’t even want to be at this party anymore. With tears flooding her eyes, she stormed off the stage in a fit of anger and fear.
She stared at the ground as she walked, not wanting to see how the people might stare at her. The tears in her eyes hit both the ground and her dress, leaving small dots that showed where they landed. Her blond hair worked as blinders, blocking her peripheral vision.
Once she got to the doors, she opened them a bit then gently closed them once she was out, trying to make as little of a scene as possible. Now alone, she fell to her knees and wept. “Hey blondie,” a voice called out, “your friends fuck with you again?”
She knew immediately who it was the moment she saw the glow of his cigarette. Gideon made his way over to where she was on the ground and got on his knees to be at the same level as her. He put out his cigarette so he wouldn’t be puffing smoke into her crying face. “Amber Lynn, they treat you like dog shit, you need better friends.”
She didn’t want to explain that she was only still friends with all the high ladies because she was afraid of what they’d say about her if she dropped them. He took a handkerchief out of a pocket in his suit and wiped away her tears. “I won’t tell you it’s going to be okay. I won’t tell you that this isn’t that big of a deal. You probably know all of those things, but you can’t control your anxiety.”
Gideon was the only person who didn’t brush aside her problems. He was a year younger than her, but they were as close as could be as kids. Him, Serephina, and her would always hang out together until they got betrothed. The announcement broke her heart. She’d been in love with Gideon for as long as she could remember.
After a few months she drifted apart from them. She felt like a burden to the two of them. That’s when she flocked to the high ladies.
Amber Lynn threw herself into Gideon’s arms and wept into his shoulder. It felt good to have someone not try to invalidate her experiences. She would’ve stayed in his arms forever if she could have. They felt more like home than any other place she’d been.
Chapter 25
Caterina never let anyone into her mother’s old room. She didn’t want to risk anything being destroyed. Everything in this room was too close to her. She couldn’t imagine not having it.
One thing she treasured more than anything was a box. The box was something her mother held dearly to her heart. If the cabin was on fire and Caterina was safe, Esther would’ve saved the box next.
The top of the box had the initials G.V.S. engraved into it. Victor had bought Esther the box premade at a market, so there was no way to change or get rid of them.
Her mother never told her what was in the box no matter how many times she had asked. Now Caterina never opened it out of respect for Esther’s privacy.
Caterina held the box in her arms, a single tear falling from her ink black eyes. “I’ll find him,” she whimpered into the air. “I’ll find whoever did this to you and I’ll make them pay.”
She placed a kiss onto it before tucking it under the bed and stepping out of the room. She wouldn’t let this person get away with their crime. No matter what consequences she would face for her actions, she would do whatever it took to get justice, but apparently justice was a monopoly owned by mortals used against magic users for simply existing.
