Everyday i think of them in an unhealthy amount…

Anyways, med student yao attending an OSCE exam (they basically get fake patients and the med student tries to diagnose the patient with what disease the director assigned to the fake patient) and one of the patients is kiku.

They meet for the first time and yao is a MESS, he just wants to ace this exam, but the patient being cute AND hot is not helping him…

THAT line in aiyaa four thousand years is definitely for japan.

And by THAT line i mean this:

Hc where kiku cries after his first kiss with yao, yao of course hugs him to calm him down.

Yao then asks him why did he cry, kiku answers with “your kiss is the only thing i wished for for so long”

Nichu / chuni post ww2…

Kiku tries to apologize but yao screams at him angrily, for almost killing him, for leaving a scar on his back that will forever reminds him of his betrayal. I think it might even hurt more if kiku and yao were almost lovers before the war happened.

I really like the hc of Kiku going to yao and asking for forgiveness when things are still raw, yao still in his anger phase, just tearing kiku apart with hurtful words that will forever haunt kiku.

Even years later where they finally patch things up, kiku still winces at words yao said to him, and he believes fully he deserved them everytime he sees his lover’s scars.

nichu but when they say i love you to each other, kiku is the one who says “wo ai ni” while yao is the one who says “aishteru”

I love to also think both of them are fluent in japanese and chinese, so them talking to each other is just a mix of those languages. And it’s up to the other asian countries to decipher it.

Au where kiku and yao are just a happily married couple of farmers. That’s it, just imagine the amount of fluff! Them waking up to each other, yao making breakfast while kiku makes sure the dog ate food, they then work together on the farm, yao can’t help but to sneak a kiss, kiku who’s not a big pda fan becomes a tomato because yao’s family are also here helping with the farm.
