you’ve showed me feelings i’ve never felt before we’re making enemies, knocking on the devil’s door but how can you expect me not to eat when the forbidden fruit tastes so sweet

“We will be Gods.”
They had whispered to each other as they picked rocks from the river when they were both young and could barely reach their horsebacks. Tibet neatly rolled his sleeves up before entering the water when Mongolia had practically jumped into the river, fully clothed. Tibet hated getting wet, but Mongolia didn’t mind at all. Cold, wet, and shivering, they had built a small palace for the both of them with the wet stones picked from the river. Their hands were bruised and scratched and bleeding… but they were warm.
“We are Gods.”
They had murmured to each other as they laid down on the grass with no tops on. The muscles of their chest flexing whenever they moved, indicating their youth which comes with toned bodies and a thirst for tragedy. Tibet had rolled over and laid down flat on his stomach to gaze into Mongolia’s eyes. Mongolia’s eyes were deep black. But the color of his eyes couldn’t hide the fire in his soul. Mongolia had stared at Tibet’s lips when their fingers interwined. Tibet leaned in. Their kiss had tasted like soil, blood, salt, and everything dry and raw… It felt good, it felt right. Their lips had been burning with avidity.
“We were Gods.”
Those words left unsaid hung heavily in the air as they sat looking at the vast land in front of them. They were no longer young. They were no longer bold and reckless. The fire that burnt in their soul, kept them awake at night, made them run through fire if they needed to has been extinguished long time ago. They had broken down. Crumbled. Jaded. Tibet quietly reached out to Mongolia. And he held his breath when his fingers brushed Mongolia’s. He didn’t dare to grip it. The sound of sigh emitted from their chests as they realized some things are just not meant to be… Their hands were cold and curved.
