If they failed finding a way to break MC's curse and she wishes for the ghouls to end her while she's still herself,

Jin will finish the job quickly, promising her it'll be over in a second一a painless end. He never broke his promise to her and he's not about to. Everything will fall according to the King's will.

Rui will embrace her gently. It'll be the first intimate touch he'd ever done after he got cursed一and will be his last. Her warmth still lingers even after she's gone. Perhaps it'll never completely left. He wonders if she had cursed him too back then.

Lyca will refuse her一because he promised he'd never murder a human. But he swears, once she fully transforms into an anomaly, he'll end her before she could do anything she'd regret forever. She feels bad that she ever asked this kind and honest boy to do something so cruel.

Taiga doesn't care what she wishes for. If she's going to turn into an anomaly then she should be crying tears of joy and feel honored. For she's going to become Taiga Hoshibami's meal of the day. He'll devour her completely一down to the marrow of her bones.

Thinking about it, Paco swap au Taco probably wouldn't get the concept of death, especially after seeing everyone come back over and over (I imagine someone had to help her through the red line game her, maybe holding Mic's hand like she does in canon still works though).

My main point though is she could end up being confused on where Mepad is, she wouldn't really get why he's not responding when they eventually have the funeral if she ends up seeing the corpse I think, they'd probably try to stop her from seeing it but that might just confuse her more.

She probably also wouldn't get that they can't come back anymore so she'd be confused by people freaking out over cracks in her shell or her having a sharp object around Balloon or spilling something near Paper or anyone electronic.

They could try to explain to her but she doesn't really seem like she'd get most of it in this au, at most I can see her understanding she has to be more careful around some objects but not why.

Aough, you're so right, she really wouldn't understand what happened. People started going all still during the party, then a scary phone got in her face, and then everything was blue and they ran a race like season 1 finale, and now her lemon orchard is gone :(. Oh and her hotel too ig but she cares more about her orchard.

I think Mic would help her and hold her hand (if she could convince Taco to bring it out of her shell), like in canon, and Taco might even help her too! With how she stops in the finale because of the images of her being ignored no matter how loud she screams, yeah? But there's a little Taco who likes to yell with her pulling on her hand, and they run across the line.

But yeah, she wouldn't understand why Mepad isn't powering on. She didn't spend much time with him, since she didn't compete in season 2 nor kidnap him in this au, but she'd know it isn't normal. They probably would have to keep her away from the body, because she'd keep trying to get his attention and get him to turn on like normal.

Everyone else is being so very careful, but it's business as usual for Taco, yeah? She'd probably get another babysitter or two with how fragile her shell is. She might playfully spit a lemon at someone, and end up with Knife carefully but very firmly telling her she can't spit lemons at people anymore and has to be very careful not to hurt herself or anyone else. Getting scolded might make her sad since she doesn't totally get the stakes of it all, but after a few days of hiding behind Microphone she'd be okay again.
