I will
There’s a theory that the most interesting love songs are ones about love gone wrong. I don’t subscribe to it. This is a song about the joy of love. Those are sometimes thought of as being soppy or sweet or saccharine. Yes, I understand that. But love can be the mightiest, strongest force on the planet. … It’s a strong, universal force. It’s not soppy at all. When I sit down to try and write a song, I’m often thinking, ‘Oh, I wish I could capture that feeling of first being in love.’ This song was started in February 1968, when I was in India with Jane Asher. As I recall, the melody had been around for a while, and the music came together quite quickly. It’s still one of my favourites of the melodies I’ve written. The words took a bit longer. That seems strange, I know, because it’s a pretty basic set of ideas.
(Paul McCartney, The Lyrics: 1956 To The Present)
Paul: Who knows how long I've loved you You know I love you still Will I wait a lonely lifetime? If you want me to… I won’t!
John: Yes, you will
Yet again, just because I was involved with Jane at the time doesn’t mean this song is addressed to, or about, Jane. When I’m writing, it’s as if I’m setting words and music to the film I’m watching in my head. It’s a declaration of love, yes, but not always to someone specific. Unless it’s to a person out there who’s listening to the song. And they have to be ready for it. It’s almost definitely not going to be a person who’s said, ‘There he goes again, writing another of those silly love songs.’
(Paul McCartney, The Lyrics: 1956 To The Present)
But you know, I – I tend to think that about them, too. Like I was saying, you know. “Well, I’d rather write without Yoko, thank you.” Just because it’s – that’s the way I write. If I – like, if I was in Tunisia, I’d go up to the bathroom to write a song, and then come back when it was done to show it to you. And to sort of say, “Let’s do a couple more words, now that’s it all there, you know, now that there’s only a little…”
(Paul McCartney, Get Back sessions, 13 January, 1969)
Neil: But when you’re talking to John, you always – these days, anyway – tend to think that you’re talking to Yoko more than you’re talking to John. And that’s when it becomes a drag. Paul: That’s why I say writing a song with him is a bit embarrassing, because I do think it sort of – I mean, I start examining my motives, with Yoko there... ... Paul: But it’s like, we did ‘I Will’. We tried, we were trying to get the last verse to ‘I Will’, and eventually I just ended up doing it, because it – we couldn’t actually do it.
(Get Back sessions, 13 January, 1969)
youtube
The recording session for ‘I Will’ was prolific in terms of improvisations. Like ‘Down In Havana’ (I Will, Take 30), for example:
Paul: You know how much I love you John: Tell us all about it, Paul
And another one is ‘Can You Take Me Back’:
John: Are you happy here, honey?
Paul: Are you happy living here, honey? Honey, are you happy living here? I ain’t happy living here, baby. Honey, can you take me back?
Can you take me back where I came from? Can you take me back? Can you take me back where I came from? Brother, can you take me back?
youtube
Jonathan Gould in "Can't Buy Me Love: The Beatles, Britain and America" (2007) writes about ‘I Will’ as an effective "demure punchline" to the sexual suggestiveness of ‘Why Don't We Do It in the Road?’, and similar in mood and form to McCartney's 1966 song ‘Here, There and Everywhere’.
And ‘cuz on one hand you’ll get something like ‘I Will’ and then you’ll get ‘Why Don’t We Do It In The Road,’ you know. Just completely different things– completely different feelings and… But it’s me singing both of them. It’s the same fella. Uhh, and I’ve wrote both of them, you know. So you can’t explain it. I don’t know why I do ‘Why Don’t We Do It In The Road’ shouting it like that… and then do this sort of smootchy laughing American ‘Girl From Ipenema.’
(Paul McCartney, interview with Radio Luxembourg, 1968)
Well, if Paul notes ‘Girl From Ipenema’ as a reference...
Tall and tan and young and lovely The girl from Ipanema goes walking And when she passes Each one she passes goes "ah"
When she walks, she's like a samba That swings so cool and sways so gentle That when she passes Each one she passes goes "ooh"
But I watch her so sadly How can I tell her I love her Yes, I would give my heart gladly But each day, when she walks to the sea* She looks straight ahead, not at me
Tall and tan and young and lovely The girl from Ipanema goes walking And when she passes I smile but she doesn't see, doesn't see
youtube
*Tea isn't going to drink itself, but context around our lads is going to build itself easy, as usual:
But each day, when she walks to the sea She looks straight ahead, not at me vs Ocean child calls me

Wait for me on the other side 5/8
Summary:
Une rencontre... un baiser... une mini dispute... Loki et Mobius se rapprochent et chacun dans leur temps se rend compte de ses sentiments...
Thank you for all the people who came aboard the ship of this story! Your comments are really the essence of my motivation. I hope you'll continue to enjoy your reading!
https://archiveofourown.org/works/32948254/chapters/82281988
BiFrost Bar - 2021
Thor exclaimed, "Why didn't you say it was your birthday? We would have had a cake for you or something."
Loki replied with a gentle smile, "It's just the time passing. I hate to make a big deal out of it."
Thor looked at him with his piercing eyes, "You keep a lot to yourself don't you?"
Although lately he was starting to open up a little more, Loki couldn't argue with him.
Thor continued, "There's nothing wrong with that. But I sometimes wonder what else you have in your life besides work. A family? A girlfriend or a boyfriend?"
Loki remained silent at first, then, faced with Thor's kindness, he finally began to talk about himself.
Sigyn's House - 2019
Sigyn introduced Loki with enthusiasm, everyone toasting him, kissing him, congratulating him.
Loki tried with difficulty not to show that he was slightly annoyed.
They arrived near Mobius and Sylvie, who was really looking forward to leaving.
"Loki, I'd like you to meet, Mobius and uh... Sylvie. He's going to help us find our lake house."
"Hello." greeted them Loki.
Mobius replied, "Hi." while Sylvie nodded.
Seeing that they were holding their coats, Sigyn asked, "Are you guys already leaving?"
Mobius looked at them, his gaze fixed on Sigyn's arm around Loki's waist and replied, "No, we're staying."
He felt Sylvie's irritated look on him.
"Very well." said Sigyn, "Come on Loki, I still have some people to introduce you to."
Loki gave a small pinched smile and followed his enthusiastic girlfriend.
A little later, Mobius was looking for a bathroom and in doing so, passed by the door of a room, half-opened. Inside, Sigyn was kissing Loki.
Mobius stepped back quickly and heard Sigyn ask, "Were you surprised?"
Loki replied in a tone that Mobius found dull, "Yes, I was. When are they going to leave?"
Sigyn asked worriedly, "What's the matter Loki?"
Loki sighed and replied, "Nothing. I'm fine... It's just I had a long day, plus the crowded train, I don't know. I guess I thought we'd be alone tonight."
Sigyn protested, "But these are my friends, Lo. They're going to be our friends. I want you to get to know them. We're going to make a life here."
"I know. I know..."
BiFrost Bar - 2021
"We moved in together when I finished college of the arts. He had rented this big house. A beautiful place, on the north side of town. We were going to live there forever. That was the plan."
Thor, who was listening intently, asked him softly, "What happened?"
Loki shrugged, "The problem is that it was his plan not mine."
Thor nodded, understanding.
Loki pulled himself together, "No, I'm not being fair. I thought I wanted it too. I don't know. Anyway, I ended it."
Thor put his hand on his arm and said, "That's your right Loki. You don't have to justify yourself, whatever your reasons, you had the right to end the relationship."
He took a sip of beer before continuing, "But then, who are you writing to?"
Loki didn't answer. He didn't know how to explain Mobius.
At Loki's silence, Thor added softly, "Sorry. It's none of my business."
Loki shook his head, "No, it's okay. You're right, there is someone."
He twirled his glass in his hands to give himself a little composure.
"It's kind of a... long-distance relationship."
"For how long?"
Loki sighed, "a long time."
Thor looked interested, "How did you two meet?"
Loki swallowed and replied, "We haven't met."
"What?"
"We just write letters to each other."
Thor laughed, "Is this a joke?"
Loki shook his head again, "No, I promise."
"You mean, it's like a pen pal?"
Loki nodded his head...
Thor laughed, but Loki didn't join him and drained his glass. before continuing, a little sadly, "It's the story of my life. Keeping everything at an appropriate and safe distance. Everyone... The girl who loved me, who wanted to marry me, I pushed her away, I run, I run away all the time. While now, the only man I can never meet... him, I want to give him all my heart."
Thor squeezed his hand and looked at him with a compassionate eye, "So you've never really talked face to face?"
" Nev-" Loki paused, suddenly realizing something, "No. Wait. One time..."
Sigyn's House - 2019
Loki left the house after his discussion with Sigyn. He really needed a break. He sat down on the stairs and suddenly realized he was not alone. Mobius was there too, alone.
The silence lingered, neither of them knowing what to say.
Then suddenly Mobius said simply, "Happy birthday."
Loki growled and replied, "If one more person comes up and says that to me tonight I'll kill them."
Mobius looked apologetic and stepped back a little in surrender.
Loki sighed, "Sorry for the reaction, I know it's not a big deal. Just one more year. I guess I'm not really in the mood to party."
Mobius replied, "Neither am I actually."
"So what are you doing here?" asked Loki, curious.
Mobius hesitated and replied, sitting down on the steps next to Loki. "I was hoping... to meet someone."
"Who?"
"Someone Sigyn told me about."
Loki nodded, "Ah. A reunion?"
Mobius chuckled, "Sort of."
"So what are you waiting for?"
Mobius sighed, "I'm trying to get some courage."
Loki smiled, "I understand." He tightened his arms around himself, feeling the coolness of the night and asked, "So you're the one who's going to find us a house on the lake, right?"
Mobius, sure of himself replied in a confident voice, "Yes, I will."
Loki was a little taken aback by the assurance of his answer.
"Are you a real estate agent?"
"No, I have a house above the lake."
Loki looked surprised and Mobius added, "And you're going to rent it after I move out." He coughed and pulled himself together, "I mean, you could. If you want to."
"When are you moving?
Mobius replied, "I'm...not sure. I guess once you finish your PhD in literature?"
Loki glared at him.
Mobius wanted to smack himself on the head and tried to make things up, "Sigyn said you were in the College of Arts and studying literature."
He paused and the silence was awkward.
Loki looked confused and Mobius felt he had lost the thread of the conversation, if there ever was one.
"What makes you think we would like it? How can you be sure."
Mobius replied seriously, "You'll like it."
Loki asked point blank, "Can you swim?"
Mobius replied, "Sure, I took lessons when I was a kid."
Loki shook his head laughing, "No, I mean, can you swim from home?"
"Oh."
Mobius laughed with Loki.
"Uh no. You can't. That's a downside. There's no path to the water."
"That's a shame."
Mobius nodded before adding, "Actually, I thought... You'd have to see it, but I always had the idea that I could change it. Nothing major. But a few new elements could really transform the house. A deck in the back that would be over the lake. And stairs…," Mobius paused, embarrassed by his enthusiasm when Loki wasn't supposed to have seen the house.
Loki continued his sentence though,"Stairs that go down to the water?"
Mobius nodded, "Yeah. That's it, like a gentle curve down... So you could go out the back door and down to the lake whenever you feel like it."
"That sounds really nice."
Loki turned his head toward the house where the party was still in full swing. He sighed, "It's pretty late. Shouldn't you go back? If you want to find the woman of your dreams tonight?"
Mobius replied with a wink, "Actually, that would be the man of my dreams."
"Oh..."
"Does that bother you?" asked Mobius.
"Oh no, I'm just surprised, pleasantly surprised to know that I'm not the only one here who's attracted to a little bit of both."
Loki gave him a teasing shoulder nudge. Mobius chuckled in response and added, "To answer your question, I'm not interested in finding the man of my dreams, I'm much better off here."
Loki blushed slightly at the implication of Mobius' words.
Mobius asked him gently, "Loki, have you read Persuasion by Jane Austen?"
Loki startled slightly and replied in surprise, "It's my favorite book. Why?"
"I have a friend who likes it."
Loki replied with a half smile, "Your friend has good taste."
"Yes he does." Mobius replied, a playful glint in his eye before adding, "I've been meaning to read it. Could you tell me a little about it?"
Loki waited a little and thought before answering. He wrapped his hands around his knees and began to speak with his chin in his lap, "It's about... waiting. These two people meet. They almost fall in love, but it's not the right time, and they have to part ways. Then, years later, they meet again. They have another chance. But they don't know if too much time has passed, if they've waited too long, if it's too late to make things work."
Mobius replied, "That sounds sad."
Loki shook his head, "It's not. Not at the end. I wouldn't have read it, I hate books that don't have a happy ending."
They were sitting pretty close to each other, Loki straightened up a bit and turned his head to Mobius who had also just moved closer.
They looked at each other for a long moment before simultaneously leaning towards each other until their lips met.
They kissed for a long time, forgetting everything around them. Both of them felt a sense of adequacy, of harmony at that moment. After a while, Loki pulled back and hesitantly said, "I don't know why I did that."
Mobius replied softly, "We did this, not just you, I'll try to explain..."
He was leaning again on Loki who did not move back when the door behind them opened on Sigyn and Sylvie.
Mobius and Loki quickly separated and both stood up at the same time, looking like children caught with their hand in the jam jar.
Sigyn and Sylvie could see that they had interrupted something. There was an awkward silence until Loki decided to break it, "Oh, Sigyn, hey. Uh, Mobius was just telling me about his house. It sounds really great."
Sigyn, his face set like stone, replied in an icy voice, "Great."
Loki turned to Mobius and continued, "We're, uh, definitely interested."
Mobius nodded and replied, "Good. I'll be in touch."
He stared at Loki for a few seconds and then whispered as he looked toward the ground, "I promise."
Sylvie, her eyes flashing, intervened, holding out his coat. "Mobius. It's late."
Mobius reluctantly followed her, taking one last look at Loki before heading for his pickup.
The return drive passed in dead silence and he dropped Sylvie off in front of her house. At the moment of closing the door of the car she said to him bitterly, "You know, if you didn't want anything to do with me, Mobius, you should have just told me. I know I'm intrusive but you never say anything, because you never want to hurt people. But not saying anything can hurt too you know."
Mobius felt bad that he had really hurt Sylvie.
"I'm really sorry. I... I'm not very good at this. I really like you as a... friend, but I don't want to go any further. I... I am in love with someone else."
He was surprised by the admission he had just made to himself. For the first time.
Sylvie seemed to notice and her face softened a bit.
"It'll take me a little while, but don't stop coming to the store or talking to me because of it, okay. I like you as a friend too, not just a love interest. I don't want to lose our friendship. So I'll probably give you a hard time the next few days, but that's okay."
Mobius nodded, moved by Sylvie's kindness, "I... Thanks."
She didn't answer anything, closed the car door gently and went home.
Mobius drove in a daze back to the house on the hill and was surprised to see that the mailbox flag was up.
He opened it and grabbed the little note that was inside.
Oh, my God. It was you.
I remember you.
Why didn't you tell me who you were?
I'm waiting by the box, I know you're home around this time, so you can answer right away
Two years apart, the same conversation, rhythmed by the movement of the small flag.
M -You would have thought I was crazy.
L -But I liked you. That was our chance. You should have told me.
M -And your girlfriend?
L -What about your girlfriend?
M -She's not my girlfriend!
L -Well, she's not my boyfriend!
M -She was then! I mean, she is now.
L -Your 'now', not mine! And maybe the 'now' would be different if you had said something back then. Maybe now would have come sooner, or maybe now would be our now, not just my now, you know?
M - No! I don't know!
2021 - Loki's apartment
Loki reread their conversation, grumbled in frustration, and threw the letter across the room, exasperated. A missed opportunity. Croki spun around his feet and rubbed his legs, as if to comfort him.
2019 - Mobius House
Mobius, equally frustrated when he saw that Loki did not answer, threw away his pencil and stomped toward the house. Once inside, he slumped in his armchair, sighed and looked thoughtfully through the bay window as Croki came to lie down and put his head on his feet, sensing his master's trouble.
_________
Fortunately, Croki is there to support them... but will they finally meet? How about a date?

Hi! If you don't mind could you write me some headcanons about being bff with some female cp's? Like Jane, Nina, Clockwork, Nurse Ann...?
One of my best friends is called one of these names so it was odd to write XD Some headcanon’s were totally true about her as well, and some definitely were n o t. XD
Anyway I’m not sure how comprehensive this is since I just kinda spewed it all out so, uh… I hope you like them! 😅
~~~
Clockwork:
· Natalie stays at your house all the time and eats all your food. Girl has a FAST metabolism so you cannot tell, but she eats e v e r y t h i n g.
· She doesn’t even have a key to your home, you just come home from everyday activities and she’s slumped in your couch cushions watching TV and there’s a pool on your bathroom floor from her shower and- oh, she has also ordered pizza so get your wallet out.
· You just squint/glare at her before flopping on the couch beside her. She hands you the remote and gets comfier by you.
· Even when you have a romantic interest over, she is there at your house, comfortable on the couch playing games on your phone as you walk your ‘friend’ to your room.
· It’s not all frustrating though, she’s always there to protect you. There have been multiple burglaries that she has intercepted and ‘taken care of’. She’s honestly like a guard dog who also has an excellent sense of humour.
· And don’t think she just wants you around for your apartment and money. Nay nayyyyyy nay. She tells you all about the Creepypasta drama and what’s going on at the mansion, even though you aren’t apart of that life.
· And she calls when she’s away. Just calls up to talk to you.
· You two are the kind of friends that don’t need to talk to each other all the time. In fact, you agree that talking to people all the time is annoying and too much trouble, and you could totally go without each other for days (Weeks even) if either of you were busy! But… without either of you even realising, you always end up contacting each other in one way or another every day, anyway. Its easy with you two. No romantic relationship could compare.
· She was the groom and you were the bride in your make-believe weddings and mums and dads games as kids.
· On Toby: “Okay Nat, I like Toby but I hope you know, if he hurts you… well there is absolutely nothing I can do to wreak revenge on your behalf, as he is a duo hatchet wielding psychopath, except maybe give him a stink eye. … When he is looking away and therefore cannot see the stink eye.”
· More on the Toby subject: Clockwork once took you to Slender Mansion (Cuz you were targeted by a botched victim of hers because she cares about you and she wanted you close by to keep you safe until she could, like, finish killing the guy and all. Whatever though, no biggie. Pft, At least that’s how she made it out to be.) and she had to leave you for a moment so she handcuffed you and Toby together because he’s the only one she could trust to watch you.
· It was very awkward for the two of you, but definitely a bonding experience. You were both very happy to see Clocky come back though.
· HORROR. The world of horror is your favourite genre together. Supernatural horror, slashers, basement dwellers, vampires, werewolves, the blob, stalkers, murderers, psychological horror, black and white, colour, movies, tv shows, books- whatever. You two get so excited to experience new fictional horror.
Jane The Killer:
· If you’re into boys, let me tell you right away- Jane is very critical of their actions. She was at a very influential time in her life (Especially concerning boys and girls and romance) when she met Jeff and Liu. She met those boys, thought ‘Oh, they’re cute. Maybe budding crush?’, and then Jeff killed her family, burnt down her home and ruined her life and Liu became an asshole, and now the male species has been, sorta… tainted. She knows there are good ones (In fact, m a n y boys are lovely, of course.), but one’s that you’re in romantic cahoots with are always going to be under her very watchful eye anyway so she doesn’t really bother to hold back her fear (Which translates into dislike… or hate) with them. So if you have boy problems, be careful. Provided you like this/these guy/s, at least. If you don’t like them, then she’s the perfect person to go to!
· If you are a boy, then- of course, none of this applies to you. She loves you. Don’t worry. You’re her best friend!
· Girls are an entirely different situation though of course. Jane drinks that love women juice every single day.
· Jane is really good with altering clothes, so she’s the one you go to when you need help hemming something or taking something in. She likes to do it, too. Quality best friend time while not being lazy.
· Speaking of her hating to be lazy… This does not apply at night. Nighttime is a whole other ballgame. Its bedtime by 7 for her if you don’t lock her into plans a week in advance. If she is braless and in her P.J’s, you will not be able to peel her from her home. Except for snacks, but even if she goes to the grocery store, she’s not getting changed and she’s going to wear her bunny slippers.
· You two watch so many cartoons together. Gravity Falls, Star Vs The Forces of Evil, Over The Garden Hedge, Villainous, Looney Tunes, Ducktales, etc. Any and all that you can get your hands on.
· You two are prepared to get platonically married, for any reason. Like, you need to stay in the country? Married; You’re staying. You’re the only one who can testify against hr in the court of law? Married, so by law you don’t have to. One of you accidentally planted yourselves with a kid and (Cuz you’re ride or die for each other, obviously), you’re gonna parent the child together and cuz of religious beliefs one of your would feel better about raising them together with a wedding band? Married.
· Jane doesn’t drink, so when/if you get drunk she’s always there to keep you safe.
· Jane also gets friend-jealous, a lot. Like, that bitch just called you her best friend, Y/N. Is she your best friend? I thought I was. So who is it, Y/N? Me or her? HM? (She is prepared to turn up to wherever you and this person are hanging, all glamorous and cool as she is, and show off. Prove she’s a way better friend then this new person so they back off).
· When you were little, she was the bride and you were the groom in your wedding/marriage/mums and dads games.
Nina The Killer:
· You have known her for both your entire lives and there have been iffy, and dark times but through hell and high water you have stuck with her. You love her. She’s your girl, you are her person too. You will be with her, and protect her from anything.
· You are the only one in the world that loves her, really. You may not quite understand her weirdness, but you stick with her anyway because you love her.
· Just like- baseline of your friendship is being ride or die for each other.
· You were also really into Jeff, but at a more… healthy? Level? Like, you were still romantically interested in a real-life murderer, but you wouldn’t have done anything about it. You wouldn’t hurt anyone (Except to protect others) or victim blame, or contact the victims (Dear God) or whatever, but you would take peaks at fanfiction and gab with Nina about it. I mean, it’s not grand, but in comparison to Nina, hah… you were harmless.
· Now though, that you’ve met him and he is the reason your bets friend is so hurt and broken, you are not the fondest of him. I mean, you still have a place in your heart for the version of him you and Nina made up in your heads (The version that Nina still believes is real) but that isn’t the real him. Jeff Woods is an ass. You need to keep your friend safe from him.
· And uh… so nowadays… occasionally, you will find out where Jeff is (You keep an ear out) and, you know, just… lie your ass off to Nina. Yep. You tell her you heard that he’s in the opposite direction than he is so that she’ll unknowingly put more distance between him and her.
· Yes. It’s a lie, but… its for the greater good! It’s for Nina’s mental health and physical safety.
· Anyway, moving on to lighter things.
· In your make believe mums and dads/’grown up’ games that you would play together as kids, you were a single parent and she was the dog.
· She will lie for you in an instant. She’s also really good at it.
· You walked into a room once and saw she was drawing something, and it turned out to be your joint tombstone. She has not let this go- you will be buried in the same plot together, if it is the last thing she does. This is slightly concerning, but… also kind of cute. You can roll with it.
· “What if I get married or have kids?”
· “They will need to apply with me to join. There will be an interview process.”
· ‘What about pets?”
· “Oh, they can come in! No fee!”
· Do not underestimate her weight. If she doesn’t want you to leave, she will hold onto your leg and go deadweight, and you will s t r u g g l e.
· Nina talks to herself, but she acts like the person she’s talking to is another person, inside her mind. You both know its not, but you refer to the other girl as Agnes anyway. Super casual.
· Follows you when you go on dates (At least the first one with someone)to make sure all goes well and texts you rapid fire when she smells something fishy. Even the smallest thing.
· You two really love dystopian teen fiction. Divergent? Matched? Hunger Games? Maze Runner? Ugles? Alllllll. You consume them and then watch the movies/tv shows too.
Nurse Ann:
· Live-in medical services! This means you can get really cheap life insurance and not worry about it to much.
· And on the topic of insurance… Ann is super smart, and organised, and just really awesome at practical stuff like that. Insurance, bills, mortgages, any kind of forms and receipts. And she’s happy to sit down and help you go through it- and, as we all know, everything is better when it’s with a friend you feel comfortable with.
· You can tell Ann anything and she’ll just roll with it. No judgment. Either she takes it and lets you talk about it or she just acknowledges it and moves on.
· Like Jane, Ann has very little patience for boy problems. In fact, she has zero time for it. Boys? Girls? No thank you. So if you’re into boys, I have some bad news for you.
· Best friend maintenance. Occasionally, Ann will over work herself (with murder) and you will need to guide her to relaxation. Gently persuade her to sit down at the dinner table and just make idle chit chat with her every now and then as you make her a good, hearty meal (Or as good as you can do XD Anything between Beefy stew and a Cheese toastie will work fine, don’t worry. She’s not picky at all), and then watch some movies with her. No phones, no knitting, no drawing, no… whatever. No other activities except TV watching! She needs to rest. I’m always shocked at how relaxing just sitting and watching TV can be. There’s a big difference between doing that and multitasking.
· Ann will call you to pretend there’s an emergency if you want to get out of social engagement.
· A thing that two enjoy together is science fiction. Star Trek (Including the animation), The War of Worlds, the world of Star Wars, Dune, a Handmaids Tail, The 100, Eureka, etc. She loves the brainy stuff.
· Ann is the logical friend, who tries to give the most practical advice and make pros and con lists and everything. And then you go ahead and do the crazy thing, the thing she said definitely would not work and would probably make things worse, and she just face palms and says she’s never getting mixed up in your mess again. … Until the next time, when she totally does.
· “I love you Y/N, but I am not about to walk into a police office and bail you out of jail so do not do that.”
· You trap her into resting by painting her nails (Hands and feet) in her sleep right before her alarm is about to go off so she has to take the morning SLOW or the paint will mess up. She just wakes up, you hold up a sign in front of her face that says ‘NAILS’ and she stops immediately. “You bitch.”
· As kids, of course, the two of you would play make-believe family games and you were both mums (/ or you were the dad). She was the working mum and you were forced to stay home take care the baby (large container of vitamins with a face drawn on).
Princess of Gotham
Chapter 11: Father & Daughter
They escaped. They escaped just as we discovered Slade's location. This couldn't be just a coincidence. But the mere thought of the three of them working together was impossible.
"I'm going to sleep," I said, taking Assana's hand off my shoulder. I headed for the stairs towards the mansion. At one point I had to hold on to the stair railing. I felt dizzy and I didn't know if it was because I was sleepy or because the prescription of my glasses was no longer enough. Sleep was the only thing I wanted to do after so many emotions for one day.
"Jane, wait," I heard Assana shout.
"Don't worry, I'll go with her." I managed to hear Olive say before I closed the door leading to the Batcave. She was one of the first to find out about the escapes before we did.
With a horrible headache from the problems I was having with my team, the fight with Tim, and the recent information of two escapes from Arkham, all I could think about was taking a nap until at least 4:00 p.m. or if that didn't help, killing myself.
"Jane, wait for me," Olive shouted, trying to reach me so she could talk to me properly.
"Jane Pasley Todd." I heard someone calling my name. But I started running to my room. When I got there I locked the door and threw myself on the bed, still without taking off my suit, to try to fall asleep. "Daughter, open up. I want to talk to you, please," said my father, knocking on the door.
"I want to sleep," I answered, trying not to sound so curt. I took off my visor and threw it towards the closet door. I wrapped the quilt around me, curling up in my bed as I listened to my father try to open the door. The sound of the knob being jiggled frantically only made my headache increase.
"I warn you, I do know how to pick locks," Jason warned, leaving the knob alone for a while. I closed my eyes, trying to sleep. Five minutes later I heard the door open and he entered my room without turning on the light.
Jason Todd was never a model son. He was always rebellious, and he was always surrounded by trouble. When he came back to life all he could think about was his revenge on the person who was responsible for separating him from the only person he had ever considered close to him.
When he almost died in the attack on the orphanage when he was 12 years old, Jason decided to follow his father's example and adopt the one who would become his protégé and companion in the future. But that didn't mean he would mature overnight.
When he almost died in the attack on the orphanage when he was 12 years old, Jason decided to follow his father's example and adopt what would become his future protégé and companion. But that didn't mean he would mature overnight.
Back then he didn't know much about raising a rebellious teenager, yet he tried. But as the years went by, he would start acting like it wasn't his responsibility, leaving me in charge of Bruce or even running away in the middle of the night never to return.
There came a point when I stopped reproaching him, anyway, it wouldn't be the only time a father figure would leave me abandoned to my fate.
"Honey." He called me, a little calmer than before, but I was already too sleepy to answer, "Well, you probably don't want to talk," he said, as he sat on the bed and tried to take off my quilt, "so I'll sleep with you," I faced him, pouting. "Get up, I don't want to be cold. I'm going to pull the sheet off."
"Do you really want to be the exemplary father now," I asked. All he did was give me a little smile.
I reluctantly got up and pulled out a blanket I had stashed in my closet. I went to the bathroom and took off my suit, then put on my sleep pants and the sweatshirt I always sleep in. I went back to bed and saw how Jason was already settled on one side of the bed, writing something on his cell phone.
-Come on, it's almost 6 a.m.," he said, patting my side of the bed. And he was right, the first rays of sunlight were already visible from the window.
I lay down next to him and we cuddled so we could sleep. I was sure I would wake up at least until 3 o'clock in the afternoon, with a horrible headache.
And although I thought sleep would help me calm my nerves a little that night, I knew it wouldn't happen. Even my dreams tortured me, bringing my worst fears to light.
Since I received my metagene and basically since I came back to life, I have had many nightmares, some worse than others. I would dream of my biological father, other times I would dream of my mother's death, or even the loss of my new family. I would also dream about the time I was kidnapped to perform the genetic experiments that gave me my metagene. My mind would trick me, giving me the worst thoughts that, at times, even when I was awake, could not stop torturing me. I would wake up in the middle of the night and after that, I could not go back to sleep.
"Don't worry, if you have a nightmare, I'll be here." I managed to hear. Yes, obviously he would be there, but it wouldn't make a difference. It wasn't as if his mere presence would magically eliminate bad dreams.
"You definitely decided to start being the exemplary father," I replied. To finally fall into the arms of Morpheus.
