sanemitsu for the ask game! ❤️‍🔥 🫂 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ 🦾👗🪢😬😶 but if you don't want to do all those just pick a few you want to do
SANEMITSU FOREVER (blatant favoritism) I went in with 'hmmm i can keep these spoiler free' and that was a lie ^_^
❤️‍🔥 A romantic headcanon: OK CONFESSION im a canon compliant Fan so despite how much i like seosane i dont think either of them would ever go "we're dating" in canon. They both still miss their dead spouses so In the seosane world that lives in my head i think they just do things sometimes without labeling it as 'dating' or 'as a couple' 🏳️‍🌈A sexuality headcanon: He is so bisexual <3 to me <3 🏳️‍⚧️A gender headcanon: im never consistent w these asdkasdljdas. Trans man? cis? nb? idk i just think he's neat either way. transmasc is the funniest option bc it means we can joke about utsugi giving him top surgery 🦾A disability headcanon: I think the scar on his hand aches sometimes! it's harder to write with it (I've been treating it like a burn scar), which is ironic for a writer ^_^ 👗A headcanon about their clothes +🪢A headcanon about their family (I FUSED THESE..): Despite him distancing himself from the Harada name, it's interesting that he ends up aligning himself more with them as he gets older. Minoru wore purple, but Sanemitsu wears the Harada green and has a braid like his father did. This isn't a hc but more analysis oops I just have many thoughts about character design. 😬A headcanon about the worst thing they’ve done: ^_^ sanemitsu feels guilty about a whole lot of things ^_^ defining "the worst thing he's done" isn't easy; A lot of it is interconnected but at its core, a lot of it links to this idea of running away. He ran away from his parental role for Haruki, he ran away from facing the Harada bloodline, he ran away from taking action over and over again. The Hanged Man Symbolism is strong... Even when he finally chooses to take action (re: start of DLC), it's only after losing everyone... i'm still editing the essay on this one so if this doesn't make sense yet it's coming soon i promise!!! 😶A random headcanon!: HES GOING GRAY <3 snmt with gray streaks/roots means so much to me i love this old man,,

so this is how i see it
theodore -> deep self denial, as this would mean acknowledging the possibility of being an other, i.e. not human. rumeld was around to heavily contribute to such denial, but as he's dead, theodore is stuck doing it himself with no dressed up version of it and no actual way out of facing it anymore except destroying everyone and everything around him. his only concern is reaching rumeld anyway, everyone else can go to hell. a lot of his mistreatment of hatsutori can be traced back to this. he'll use anyone as he used him to keep the farce going. LDL are his current squeeze, a group of people deeply indebted to him or need him for some means, but especially sanemitsu. in fact the fact that he's messing with sanemitsu at all is an insane form of self harm on his part, considering "he looks more like his grandfather than the father". an grand act of self denial in and of itself
hatsutori -> deep need for self actualization, but due to circumstances cannot achieve this whether it be himself (guy has the emotional intelligence of a puddle) or his environment (the cult he cultivated), coasts by with different shades of validation from noriyuki and minoru. though the one person he could never get any validation from was theodore. because theodore validating hatsutori's delusions meant acknowledging that he, theodore, himself is not normal. it's not incorrect for him to call hatsutori a human outside of the gifts he was burdened with from the fragment, but acknowledging those gifts that made hatsutori "a star" and "a savior" means having to look reality in the eye and think "these abnormalities came from me, therefore i am abnormal". that's a nice fallacy right there. in reality there's no escaping it, no matter how much he denies hatsutori. the fragments and their fragment status are not seperable into "human" and "supernatural leftovers". they've lived this long. their bodies are physically affected. how they grapple with this differs between each one. not being consistent in what he wants and both answers satisfying him depending on the day, is hatsutori's way. and both facets of his identity invalidate the other. he was bound to struggle forever even if theodore acknowledged him.
miwa -> a deep self denial that wants to be exposed. unlike theodore, who denies himself and leaves no room for anyone to say otherwise, i think miwa desperately wants someone to give him a reason to stop. i don't think he even wants to, it's just that he has to deny it, he has no other way to exist otherwise. everyone in his life either knows a fake version of him (who is playing a heightened version of himself on top of that at the same time) and still won't engage with him as a person, or is actively using him. goes for his fans too. no one is there for him. the people who know him, use him. he's in a position where unlike theodore who has to trample on others to keep things going, he's completely self isolated instead. and his line of work only adds on that. but he wants someone to change things for him because he is powerless to do so, even if it's impossible, and the impossible has to come true. it's like theodore early on, he's looking for a rumeld. it's just that unlike theodore, he's probably fine being "different", he wouldn't find (complicated) joy in playing dita if he wasn't. he just wants someone to accept all of him as it is. but it's really fucked that the person he chose to be obsessed with is a harada he's so fucked like actually
i think in february 2018, the time the first report takes place, things seemed like they were proceeding and that that want to be accepted was not possible, the only path was the end of himself. what happened between him and shiyo in the next four or five months to change that... is something rui will have to investigate deeply
