THIS BUG ^^^

snakefly time!!! i like these guys a lot. and haven't seen one irl before so this was pretty cool! unfortunately it chose to land directly in front of the sprinklers so i didn't get to stare at it for too long. alas.

#im too distracted to put any fun facts here but just go read their wiki page ok #these guys. are sososo cool. ok you get ONE fun fact and it's that when they pupate they make a little cell for themselves.#this is pretty normal bug stuff. BUT THEN THEY JUST??? sorta wander out of it BEFORE actually pupating. they do that somewhere else.#no idea why. they just get bored in there I guess #they're a Very Old group of bugs so they have a lot of weird traits other insects have since evolved out of.#the amount of times they molt before adulthood can vary a pretty decent amount #versus a lot of other insects who have a set number of molts.#anyways.
