ooh very intrigued by the idea of an outer banks locorro au! there are so many ways that could go! what were you thinking?

WOW I AM SO GLAD YOU ASKED, HERE IS WHAT I AM THINKING. Tbh the treasure part isn't as intriguing to me as the circumstances (especially not as stupid as the plot got in season three so far) so this is more of a drama. Like The Summer I Turned Pretty mixed with Outer Banks.

-Spider lives with his rich evil dad in their summer home in the Outer Banks, while Lo'ak and his band of fun loving idiot siblings live on the Cut.

-I think Spider is their Kiara, he's literally always ditching his dad and running away with his clown squad and staying with the Sully's 24/7. It's only exacerbated the tension between Quaritch and the Sully's because now he lowkey hates that his own son likes them better than him lol. He's had the cops pick Spider up from their house as a personal favor like, an absurd amount of times.

-At first Neytiri didn't trust him, but then the cops came for Spider the first time when Spider ran away when he was like ten and hid under Kiri's bed. Now she loves Spider and treats him amazing half because he's great and half because it makes Quaritch so fucking mad and she's petty.

-Anyways my point is Spider basically lives there, and actually does live there when Quaritch is gone on business trips which is most of the time. He just sends the cops for Spider when he gets back and remembers he exists.

-All of the kids spend all their time surfing and fishing and having late night beach parties. They help their parents make money to support the family, and they babysit Tuk constantly.

-I think they fall in love like they do everything else; all at once and without any prior planning. All recklessness and stupidity. One day they are best friends, thicker than thieves, and the next day they are something more. It gave Kiri whiplash. If you ask either of them how it happened neither of them knows.
