A small drabble about a possible Petit sekai episode I was going to write the script for based on my swap aus !!! (Haven’t touched these in a while)

Episode 1: A Brand New Tenma!

Shizuku assumed it had been a good day of practicing. Sure, they haven’t practiced in the Playground SEKAI for a while but it was a group decision.

And yet, despite that, why did something feel wrong?

Kohane was playing the bass with extreme dedication. She’s come a long way from the shy girl Shizuku knew and she was proud at her for that. It isn’t her performance that was lacking. Kanade’s the same way. While she was mostly focused on composition instead of instruments as a whole, She still had a talent on the drums despite her mostly working on piano when she composed songs online.

If neither Kanade’s nor Kohane’s performance was lacking then that had to mean…

It was strange. Usually the one giving his all was Tsukasa and even today, he still did! It was just that something was lacking in his performance. Something that was usually seen when he played the keyboard.

However, what really made it clear was Tsukasa, very dramatically, sighing in exasperation. Shizuku looked at him, a concerned look on her face.

“Eh? Tsukasa-kun? Is something the matter? You seem a bit down…”

That seemed to startle Tsukasa which Shizuku found odd. It was a lot for jumpy, like he was itching for movement. It set off several alarms in her head. Kohane and Kanade had turned around too.

“Oh! No worries, Shizuku! It’s nothing!” Shizuku knew Tsukasa to be a dazzling star actor and yet, she can tell clear as day that he was lying. She knew him for a long time and while, obviously, not close to him as Saki was, she’s heard concerns from the younger Tenma about how her brother behaves.

Therefore, she knew that Tsukasa would be trying harder to hide his problems to ease worries.

Since Tsukasa wasn’t hiding much (he was touching the tips of his hair), he most likely wanted someone to comment on it.

Before she could speak, Kanade asked him: “Tenma-san, Are you sure you’re alright? We’re a band now so I think we should discuss anything bothering us.” She sent a light smile to Tsukasa, Shizuku was beaming.

Kohane took a step forward. “I agree with Yoisaki-san! We don’t want you to feel upset or anything like that!” She pauses before continuing. “Is it the band? Have we not been playing in sync this whole time?”

“No!” Tsukasa exclaimed, his voice booming in the SEKAI once again. Shizuku felt a wave of nostalgia wash over her. “Everyone has been doing amazing! At this rate, we’ll be performing in front of thousands! Millions!” He laughed proudly.

“Millions?!” Kohane squeaks in surprise.

“It would be more realistic to start small. However, it would be better to have our music reach and help many people as it can.” Kanade adds afterwards.

Shizuku giggled. She hasn’t been saying much since this conversation as there was still one big thing on her mind. “Tsukasa-kun, don’t go changing the subject. We’d appreciate it if you told us why you were upset.”

“UWAHHH?!” Tsukasa yelped, surprised to be caught in his act. “Well, I guess there would be no reason to hide it. To reach a perfect harmony… we have to be the perfect harmony!”

The three girls stayed silent for a while, smiling at him in understanding while not necessarily comprehending what he was saying.

“I mean we have to communicate and work as a group!” Tsukasa clarified, slightly exasperated. A chorus of ohs erupted between them all. “Which is why I must tell you what’s bothering me!”

A slight silence overtook them. They all were on the edge of their seats (metaphorically, of course) wondering what would happen.

“I… I haven’t gotten a new haircut!”

“Eh?!”

A moment of peace~

Back again with my Four shenanigans, I swear he works like magic for my art block lol.

Anyway, this is still rough and I'd like to try and render it some day, but for now have a sleepy Four ! And a friend whose gaze never leaves their side...

Also, couldn't decide on whether I wanted Shadow to sign 'I love you' in ASL or do a goofy sign, cuz, let's be honest, he'd do both, so have both versions ahah
