I hate how common it is in fandoms w both old and modern parts of the media for newer fans to like. Hate on or actively avoid older works and focus on the most recent releases of whatever. Esp when an older fan is like “hey you should check this out btw it gives you a better understanding of the characters/story itself” and their response is “but it’s so ugly and the characters are written poorly and i bet the story is shit too.” like shut up. I know more than you
