ok 2dulce lore but basically the idea i've got for the lore i wanna give dulce is that i wanna introduce him in plastic beach, hes a (guardian?) angel that got recently assigned to famous star and singer stuart pot (2d) and hes always been a fan of gorillaz and obs admired them from afar (cause ya know… hes an angel and he's not allowed to really talk to humans/other beings etc) so he basically breaks a few rules to be able to be seen by 2d and the rest of the band so technically hes a fallen angel now but hes pretty chill abt it tbh he basically has all hes ever wanted now (be 2d's boyfriend)

so their first meeting was in that one submarine 2d was being held captive in (💔) back in plastic beach

I do not have much lore thought out but what I do have is! Quite silly!! Their magic fluctuates and they don't have very good control over it and it feels super weird for her to use it so she just tends not to use it most of the time. Imagine wild magic from dnd.. that basically.. :3

They have a similar physical structure to like Celestia and Luna. Except like bro is built Different (/neg). His limbs feel too long and lanky and they stumble and trip a lot when walking. They feel too tall and just really confused a lot of the time.

Extremely bad hearing cuz the inner workings of her ears are real fucked up from having wings instead of ears. Like the muscles and way they move and the fact that there probably shouldn't be wings on her head.

Good eyesight with all the eyes but it's really overwhelming with so many angles of sight. Like lots of imput at once yknow. They prefer dimly lit areas and ummm uhh yea silly goose idk. I have so much I wanna yap about but idk how to word things :( he tends to keep all but 1 pair of eyes closed at once, or sometimes just all of them. She does have control of each individual one though it takes a lot of concentration to focus on them all, especially with all the sensory input, so they just keep em closed normally.

They don't know what their og cutie mark was, or if she had one at all, but the eclipse was not it. He's not sure what this new cutie mark is supposed to mean, as full eclipses are yk really rare and they've never seen one

They have a really soft voice that sound pretty ambiguous (idk if that's the word if not pls correct me sob). And it's also kinda choppy with words and has odd pauses in the middle of sentences. When in conversation she prefers to listen to other people talk instead of being the talker. I love them sm..

hey mia! thats a great question lol, usually i just rotate through the same three odesta fic writers and cross my fingers u guys update something soon, but i’ll try to mix it up!

1. by any other name by jajajaja. this one is just so sweet and cute. it’s also a Finnick Lives au so you already know it’s going to be a joy to read

2. voicemails from my love by jajajaja. another fic by the same author, and for good reason! this one is a modern au, which brings out the silly and carefree side of odesta even more, so i really like that. it’s also just such a fun and sweet (and cute) idea that i’ve never seen done before. i’d definitely check out this author if you haven’t already i think you’d really like their fics!! very domestic and sitcom-y depending on which ones u read, but there’s also fics with a healthy dosing of angst if that’s more your speed!! theyre doing it all and we love to see it

3. oslo by ongreenergrasses. we know em… we love em… it’s an odesta proposal fic by none other than the genius behind the sun persists in rising! (a fic rec within a fic rec… fic-ception). but i won’t get too into that since i know fs that you’ve read it. anyway, oslo is so good! i loved seeing how annie and finnick each reacted to the quell, it made the ending so bittersweet.

4. franka by ongreenergrasses. another fic by the same author, but i can’t help that my mutuals are so talented. but seriously, this has such a good and natural combination of angst and fluff. i know you don’t like reading smut, and usually i don’t either, but 1) this is literally an ongreenergrasses fic i had to give it a try… 2) i don’t really mind smut with these two since theres usually a lot of character analysis thrown in there 3) as the summary suggests, that’s not all that happens. so if you’re comfortable with that i definitely recommend that one to anyone that will listen

5. can you drink all my thoughts by mavilywavily. i like this one especially cos in my opinion it’s a more realistic spin on the whole odesta childhood friends to lovers trope

6. like a yellow sun by volcanicloves. this one has a special place in my heart because it’s a silly, fun hg au! like obviously i get why we don’t have very many of those but if you’re as obsessed with dcoms as i am, this lemonade mouth au is probably gonna be perfect for you. the main pairing is everlark but it does ft odesta (and annie being so so strong! go annie!!!)

7. moments of peace by ao_xxii. this is another one that features odesta, but it’s such a beautiful piece that i had to include it!! love it sm

8. It would be best by NezumiPi. god. this one has to be my favorite odesta fic yet. it’s another Finnick Lives au, and i really appreciate how the author portrays such a complicated and nuanced situation. 10/10 can’t recommend this one enough. like i’m pretty sure u already read it but tbh i think we all should just read it again

It's a work in progress but it's one of my favorites so far (delusional). Bauhaus in this one was a must but there's also other goodies

Poppy Fields Where Lost Girls Go (1h51m) - Kuobakhaya playlist which is mostly very sad and about being high (which is definitely what she is most of the time, both of those). Laura Palmer's theme song is there which should tell you a lot about the character itself if you know the story behind that piece of music... anyway this one is a little sad. But I like it (the lenght backs this up)

i have even more than these but theyre works in progress enough that i dont wanna share em to the public Just Yet or they need to be updated/they're old/etc. One of the things I wanna do when im done being busy with school is do what my parents used to do which is actually make physical CD burns of my playlists with custom graphics etc... i have to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the atmosphere & layouts of the merchant & treasure rooms!!!! Genuinely so much beautiful & gorgeous detail put into it, i love all the patterns & markings covering the walls/room in general!! &nd the lighting they used makes it look even more prettier than if it had none!! another important time of year to know about that begins in june is hurricane season.

if you live in an at-risk area, make sure you have all the supplies you need. i live in miami, so you bet your ass we're getting all the batteries, non-perishables, emergency supplies, etc. that we need.

do not wait until a storm is approaching to prepare. panic may ensue after a storm is announced. items may become hard to find. get them now while there is not much going on.

here's a list of items to stock up on. ill also put it here bc if you dont read any of the links from this post i want to be sure you at least read this. this is (in no particular order) the list from Ready, the site NOAA has linked:

water. Ready recommends a gallon per person per day for several days; get what you can. be sure you also have water for pets if you have them.

food. have several days' worth of non-perishable food. again, be sure to get food for pets as well if needed. if the food is in cans, make sure you've got some way of opening them, i.e. manual can opener. dont rely on an electronic can opener. (optionally, extra plates, utensils, etc.)

radio, etc. ESPECIALLY if you're in a risk zone, your power can go out so fast. so can cell service, etc. know which devices work without power, which require a charger, and which can work without internet.

flashlight. generally a good thing to have anyway. harbor freight has rly bright ones for cheap, theyre by the front counter

first aid kit. again, generally a good thing to have in or out of hurricane season.

covid preventative measures. especially if you're living with other people — you may end up in close quarters for days at a time or longer, and that's gonna get really bad really fast if you don't have some way to ward off the virus

MEDICATIONS!!!! i can say from experience that hurricanes and even just storm surges have a very real chance of messing up your ability to get your prescription. all it takes is a power outage and the pharmacy to be like oh :( sorry cant give u ur meds now :( computer isnt working :( and you can get screwed so easily. also, check up on your supplies of any over-the-counter stuff you may need to use, especially if regularly (for example, ibuprofen and similar that might be needed for menstrual cramps)

menstrual products (pads, tampons, etc.). you will want to have enough of these for a while. make sure to account for anyone else you're living with who needs them too.

baby care products. Ready specifically lists formula, bottles, diapers, wipes, and diaper rash cream.

diversions for kids. Ready lists this too, and i can say from experience — being trapped inside without power during a hurricane as a kid is not only terrifying, but also boring as all hell. you don't really understand what the adults are talking about, you just know that you're possibly in danger and that your games arent working because of it, and it sucks. i highly recommend legos, but even a silly board game can be enough for a couple hours.

batteries. yes okay sure maybe you have batteries. but please double-check — are they the right kind? do you have enough for the things you may need to use them for? also keep track of batteries for devices such as hearing aids, which you are less likely to be able to find batteries for from a neighbor

whistle to signal for help. you can get em for like 3-4 bucks

dust mask for contaminated air. i tried to find whether this can be a covid mask, but no dice. lmk if you know! in the absence of any evidence that the two are completely interchangeable, i would recommend to get a separate dust mask just in case. harbor freight sells em in packs of 10 for 3-4 bucks. also keep in mind that not all dust masks are designed for use against covid

plastic sheeting and duct tape. this one is to seal up the walls in case of danger outside — here's how to do it. (Look at the section titled "Sheltering in place".)

wet wipes, garbage bags, plastic ties

wrench or pliers to turn off utilities. here's how to do it. be sure you know which tools can be used for what BEFORE you have to go do it yourself. while you're at it, check if you've got any tools you need to repair damage to mobility aids, etc.

maps of the area. if you dont know your area, if you're dorming or rooming and don't know what's around, whatever your situation — trust me, you do not want to have to rely on an electronic device to get to where you need to be. know what you're looking for in advance if possible.

phone, charger, etc.

other important supplies based on what you might need:

glasses + lens solution. once again, this is pretty much just a thing that's generally good to have. but also remember that a lens wipe can only do so much if your glasses are covered in large particles or particles in a large amount

cash, important documents, etc. preferably in a waterproof container. Ready specifically lists insurance policies, identification and bank account records.

blanket or sleeping bag for each person. yet another instance of something that is generally good to have.

full change of clothing + shoes. if you can get good, sturdy shoes — great. but if you have a pair of extra shoes, that's fine too.

fire extinguisher. i'll be honest — i've never included this in the kit, and i don't have one, but Ready lists it as an item some people might need. idk. if you feel like you might need one, you can look into it — they do seem to be among the pricier items on the list, though.

i watch some tiktoks (</3) with this german couple about stereotypes of german people and i swear. half the time i just see link and giggle, kicking my feet. theyre so hilarious, its like 'going on a biking trip' and hes SO overly prepared with stuff and the partner wants to have nice chats while they bike in the scenery :) and he just goes 'i am trying to keep my speed and breathing steady. we can look at the scenery in silence' AND JUST. KIND OF LITTLE I FEEL. WEEEE as the whole party. figured out we were having a cross-campaign family tree of elves with red-adjacent hair and an m- initial like midway thru, which made me go from "uhh UHH theyre a sun elf or something?" to having a Big Ol Family, and esp the eladrin stuff which is preddy important to their character now. ended up making me lean more on the vibe of hm... duality i guess. Thee standing between but not rly feeling like u fit in any part of the world + learning how to make ur way to where u wanna go anyway. this also means they have like, a bunch of hairstyle changes and i'm DREADING making an artfight sheet and having to explain the visual journey without sounding crazy (#swag) then u__u made em as a character w a big theme of Grief since the start which has always been very fun to explore. especially after last year that has been Something to me it's very cathartic as well to write silly little character who go thru The Shit and Have Been Hamlet Many Times, Inside Their Head, and then get their silly little happy ending ☀💖

The alchemist- she's a bit on the gloomy side and honestly just tired of life 😭😭 i went with this origin first so her personality is like pretty much based off the game mc we play as, just a tad bit more passive 🚶‍♀️will melt down and turn into mush at the slightest bit of affection so i paired her with leander, and since shes gone through a lot i thought, she deserves some treat <3 and throw in mhin into the equation too hehe another random fact abt her is that she loves plain water... a LOT. Since shes a mage apprentice, i imagine that she probably learn a lot of magic stuff after meeting leander, mostly to get stronger and for self defense

The hound- she got massive trust issues (being betrayed by her friend in the thief syndicate and all) so shes extremely wary of the LIs, like if u think the in game mc is wary of the ppl in eridia, she's like 10x worse. Honestly lowkey like mhin 2.0 except a lil bit snappier 😭 i pair her with kuras and their relationship is kinda like him trying to get a stray cat with human issues to warm up to him 😭😭 doesnt get along with any of the LIs at all and always keep an arm's length around them, but she only lets kuras into her life (and fun fact he loves feeding her) surprisingly tolerates mhin too, and learns a lot abt how to use weapons from them, and since she was in a thief syndicate i imagine her agility lvl is v high (and dont tell this to my unnamed mc but my alchemist and hound mc is my favourite children...)

The unnamed- shes raised like a royalty all her life, since being an oracle means that everyone borderline worship her, but being raised at a temple also means theres many restrictions and shes honestly lowkey sick of being treated like it, though she keeps the perfect facade up, all smiles and all. Shes kind of a lil shit since after running away from the temple, she finds it hard to keep her nice facade up but still tries too hard to keep em (this results in her going 😄😄 but when she suddenly snaps she was like- omg i accidentally let my true colours out- and went back to being nice and all smiles as if her previous outburst didnt just happen- yes shes two faced) i pair her with ais and vere (aka the lil shits 😭) honestly their relationships r just ais and vere trying to make her snap and drop her nice facade its kind of hilarious

audie's the one i have the most lore about. he is genuinely on many levels a professional trophy husband, it's just that...he also has a ton of skills that he can whip out like a swiss army knife. a swiss army boyfriend? he's good at business, he's incredibly good at originium arts and swinging a big axe (he would basically be a duelist defender but that specializes in arts damage), and he's way more social than both encio and gnosis, so he fills that role in their team comp... all three of them are equally determined and capable and in a way manipulative, but audie is better at obscuring it by being friendly in a way that neither of them quite have down pat. so as much as they were a little weirded out at his appearance in their affairs, they do kind of need him sometimes. i can never quite decide if they're a V, a triad, or if audie just accepts that no matter what he does encio will be a little bit married to gnosis. but either way, they are quite tight when it comes down to it. because audie's family is minor and he's the only living heir, he kind of understood that he could either work his tail off on building a family legacy (a lot of work, a lot of resources, for little guarantee of reward especially since he would never actually be able to go super far) or he could hitch himself to someone with much more pull, and make himself invaluable. he decided to go for the latter, and so he's had very little illusions about how he does have certain roles this way. he has lower standards of behavior for himself and inhibitions in some senses than, say, shealtiel, who is, well, Catholic. he's the one of them who tries to at least get on with Enya but she's leaving him on read because, well, he can be as nice as he wants but he's still her brother-in-law and not even to the sibling she likes.

audie was educated in leithanien, which is how he got so good at arts. the greataxe, i think, is a notable martial art of the fuchsfrost line. foreign education, martial skill, and general good looks are what got him to stand out as an arranged marriage prospect. (aka, he had the least depressing biodata out of every eligible noble single in kjerag.) the meet cute was that he walked in, sat down, and basically said "you need a partner for political reasons because you're now the most powerful man in the nation and you simply can't keep being the keystone of this entire country, because a human keystone can fail. if you select me as your partner, i will be your right hand arm. man. your silly rabbit. do you call me that? it's up to you" and encio was sold enough to fake marriage about it. (then, of course, they realize they get along quite well and have good teamwork and chemistry and uh oh. thinking about the how do i tell my husband i'm in love with him reddit post.)
